Yubin was such a refreshing delight to see her shine, I enjoyed the Killing Voice, wished it was a little longer with older songs like Cupid and Liar Liar. My 2 cents is that Killing Voice usually doesn’t show the better vocal parts of the artist songs like the bridges. Oh well, Oh My Girl is one of my ult groups so to see them be able to perform a Killing Voice was such a treat.
Hyojung (red hair) is known in korea and in the korean music industry to be one of if not the most STABLE singers out there

I love that they told dingo to do as little post work as possible and kept it super raw. So many of these killing voices has a bunch of post prod work done. These girls just said...well sing live and just take it.
They did? Interesting because I was pissed off that this has very heavy and noticeable post processing in the vocals and I know they can sing without all that editing
If you listen to them more you will definitely notice differences in their voices. YooA is very bright and masky. Mimi is darker. Arin is very soft and breathy. Yubin has a lot of power in her voice when she wants. Seunghee can do pretty much everything and Hyojung is just a great overall singer.
Yeeeeee! I love Oh My Girl! I think their music is so unique and I appreciate risk takers.

@@Koko3op Indeed Grit and so uplifting for the spirit... I absolutely enjoy the vibes they give into their songs. They are able to give me such good vibes with a lot of genuine feels.....they seem to connect well with the songs they croon and with each other........ most gg sing technically and robotically......there is an empty feeling....that's what I am getting and it gets boring on my ears.

I think they may sound the same to you bc they are using a very breathy style of singing here, but they all very much have unique voices and it might take sum more listens for you to differentiate them~ Also you’re right, the autotune is giving that cold, tinny sound- dammit Dingo (they are known to have a warm and wholesome sound). They are also praised for having vocals that all complement each other🤍
Mimi (the rapper) is known to have the husky voice, Seunghee has the fresh and clear tone, Yooa has the sharp and full voice, Arin’s is breathy soft, Hyojung’s is slighty nasally and light, and last but not least, Yubin’s is warm, velvety and strong:)
Idk I think they are all very similar and it’s not a bad thing they just all sing with different placement it sounds like. Yubin/Yooa are slightly similar in terms of how they belt. Seunghee/Hyojung are also super similar sometimes. Arin/Mimi/Jiho were also very similar just due to their higher tones but Mimi’s rap tone is obviously different. It’s not a bad thing to be similar.
@@Cecil1213 I see where ur coming from but ig for me I hear the differences more than most as I’ve been listening to them for almost 10 years. I’d recommend watching their performances on Immortal Songs 2 and King of Masked Singer which showcase their vocal colours very well :)
They performed the version of Twilight from Queendom, that's why it's sounded different.

I actually can't hear the similarities at all! Although it is a normal impression for any groups you really do not stan and follow closely (It is similar to the "they all look the same" sentiments people have) so I understand where you're coming from.

funny enough, Seunghee can actually mimic all of the other members vocals. and to this day, I haven't seen anyone beat her in high pitch battle... not that there's actually anyone interested in doing this. 😅

ok i DO think they sound very similar, and i also think that denying that kind of does a disservice to OMG? they're all extremely talented, and if you watch the studio sessions you can see them tweak parts in really subtle ways. they sound the same bc that's the OMG sound! they are (more or less) all capable of sounding unique, but that's not the assignment here today.
PS u know Seunghee hasn't got her vocals turned all the way up bc her chest didn't get red. she wasn't even breaking a sweat here lol.

At first i could only spot yubin's sound. After several years i found they are so different from each other, but i still failed to identify seunghee and hyojung sometimes. They are equally good in my ears.
