Ice cream and a cute hippo are just the best things against that frustration!! But seriously, your honesty is so helpful and reminds me that everyone goes through that. Stay strong!

Clicked asap my mum is having surgery as I write this. It is an ankle fusion and I am so nervous right now she comes out around 6. I'll be okay when she comes out. Some people don't see the effect on the families but the mental drain is real and the worry.
Update: She has come out now thankfully no complications but she is drowsy and in a bit of pain. Thanks for all the love and support. Now on to the healing.

How wonderful that Judd is helping after Michael's devastation. What would we do without people like him? Living in Florida we certainly appreciate the tremendous help & aid that comes through after a hurricane or tornado. After watching those poor people scrounging for food & water after losing their homes in the Panhandle it surely puts our own suffering in perspective. Keep strong Jacqui with your foot & Judd not being there, this too shall pass, rest in the Lord & be proud of what your husband is doing to help others in so awful a situation.

I had the most frustrating doctor's appointment yesterday that had me leaving in tears of frustration. I am a strange duck, in that when I get really, really angry or frustrated I cry. Then I cry harder because I am frustrated that I'm crying and am not sad. I then have to explain myself to people who ask, which makes me more angry/frustrated so I start/keep crying more. Ugh. I was mentally, physically and emotionally exhausted when I left and today I'm paying for being upright that long with a major pain flare. I just cannot seem to win. I come here though and feel better voicing this because I realize I'm not alone, which although I don't wish it on anyone, does make me feel slightly better. Your transparency today, Jaquie has made me feel like I can share too, so I appreciate it. Maybe getting it off my chest will help me to close my eyes tonight and actually get more than my 3 hours of broken sleep, with is the norm. xoxox Heather🇨🇦

    Be easy on yourself.
I can feel (some) of your pain. I had cellulitis in my left calf for way too long since no one could figure out what to do and no one gave me pain pills. Each time you had pain, i shuddered. So nice to have your Mom there with you! She seems very nice and has excellent taste in frozen yogurt. :) God be with you.

Ice cream, Hippo snuggles and mother daughter time, perfect. And you know it is an unwritten rule that if you have an injury/surgery site, ect. That if you fall or bump something whatever is hurting will always be what you hit. Hate that rule, lol. Hope you are on your way to recovery and getting the hang of walking in the bandage. Love and prayers for you and all your family.

Firstly I'm so glad you're home! Also its totally okay to feel frustrated especially when you're in pain and so much is happening physically and emotionally (like missing Judd) so don't be too hard on yourself because its normal and okay to feel those feelings especially after a hospital stay, I know I have very similar feelings especially if I've had surgeries and have been in hospital or if I'm just feeling unwell and having a hard time medically, so i really empathise with you and hope you're feeling better today! I'm glad you have someone as amazing as your mum to look after you though and Ice cream is definitely the best medicine for those days where you just feel so overwhelmed. I know I can't wait for the day (if it ever comes) where I can be able to eat Ice cream again (I have many of the same illnesses as you and am also tube fed and also about to start TPN as I've now gone into intestinal failure along with my Gastroparesis. I've been tube fed since i was 11 (I'm now 21, so 10 years) when i first got really sick). I honestly am so genuinely happy that you are able to eat a bit more now, and honestly you has really given me some hope, which I had run out of long ago, that one day I might be lucky enough to eat a little again as at the moment i am not allowed or able to eat or drink anything except occasionally they let me have lollipops or skittles haha. So thank you so much for giving me a little hope back that one day I might be able to enjoy food again and I am genuinely so incredibly happy that your eating has improved a little I'm so happy for you because i understand how hard it is to be reliant on a feeding tube and IV fluids and how defeating and upsetting it can get when you can't eat and how hard not being able to eat and enjoy food is both physically and emotionally. So you're improvement with your oral intake is amazing to see and I'm so happy for you! I hope your foot improves asap as well and good luck with the rest of your recovery. You've got this! xxx

I wanted to let you know that I enjoy your videos and following with how you are doing. I became ill a few years ago and ended up with a disease that the doctors have no clue how I got it. I end up in the ER a few times each year and usually end up getting admitted for a few days for observation. I rarely ever sleep in the hospital and end up going home and sleeping for a day or two. I also suffer from pain which is not controlled very well. Like you, I also go to church and I also volunteer as much as I can with my church. When I am not able to go, or I am in the hospital; I will watch the Live Stream online. I love that you share your religious life with your viewers. There are so many TH-camrs that will not show that side of them as they are afraid to lose viewers. You are a real person and an inspiration to many others. God has dealt us all with things for a reason that we may never know, but it is His plan for our lives. God Bless You Jaquie!!

Not related to your foot (which I hope heals quickly and well by the way), but I was wondering if since your gastroparesis has gotten better than it was if you ever feel hungry now, or if that is still gone.
