    PART 2~completion. Here is the last (and majority) of my TYM T654 Cab tractor test drive, assessment and comparison to my Kioti NX6010. If you are buying a tractor or considering it, you might want to watch this whole episode to get a real good feeling for the TYM tractor brand. Some nice drone shots as well with the phantom 4 pro drone, and cab views with a GoPro Hero. Also an announcement about my potential tractor purchase at the end!!! Like and subscribe to the channel to see what happens, which tractor I purchase and to follow me on the new line of tractors!! Kapper Outdoors, living the dream, one acre at a time.

    To help you solve your cup holder problem.....turn the bottle upside down and it fits like a champ. The bottle is designed to accommodate small cup holders.

    Thanks for sharing your video but there are a few things to keep in mind when comparing tractors like the ones you did your video on. I looked at the specs of these 2 tractors and they are likely in two different size categories. The TYM T654 weighs 5555, with 2900cc and 4 cylinders.Syncro Shuttle or Power Shuttle Transmission. The Kioti NX6010 is lighter @ 4500 lbs and has a smaller size engine at 1826cc 3 cylinder Hydrostatic Transmission. So they are not an apples to apples comparison.
    If you had a Kioti RX6620PC with 2435 cc, Power Shuttle transmission, F24R24 speeds, weight 5732 and Ag tires it means it the comparison would be much closer in specification to the TYM T654,
    Weight goes a long ways in tractor performance and Ag tires are usually taller and narrower. And a shuttle transmission utilizes more power then a hydrostat. So there were some differences that need to be reconciled to make a comparison more equal.

      Well, you must have missed the part in the beginning when I outline that this is Not apples to apples, rather this is my OWN personal comparison since I had the Kioti and was looking to upgrade. That might be in the longer part 2, but that is why I put that in there. So you are correct, but so am I :) I was making the comparison to see what I'd be getting compared to the one I had at that time.

    My TYM 234 HST has 750 hours on it. I've had the front loader arms crack off twice. I added steel and bracing to the tractor and so far, so good. The backhoe separated from the tractor the first hour of use, and then I welded up a new bracket to attack it to the rear center pin. Now it stays on. During use, 3 of the bearing posts of the backhoe failed and I welded them back on with additional metal, which has worked well so far. The rear upper attachment of the backhoe to the transmission then broke into little pieces, I had to weld up a beefer bracket. At 700 hours, the main frame cracked and the tractor about folded in half, and cracked the plastic seat surround (the body as in were that in most tractors is steel) was destroyed. Total parts are $2500 to restore it to service. I did all the work. took me about 50 yours total to disassemble and reassemble the unit. I am done with TYM products. This machine could have killed me more than a few times, I feel lucky. I am going to unload this thing as soon as I can find a buyer.

    Nice review. You keep mentioning the larger front tires on the TYM but those are still the R1. On a given tractor the R1 tire option typically always uses larger rims. The TYM R4 may be nearly the same size as on the Kioti.

    • @kapperoutdoors
      @kapperoutdoors  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, since the TYM T554 that I measured in this vid was larger than the Kioti, it stands to reason that the 654, which is a larger tractor, would be even larger yet. But I guess I can't say that for certain without seeing one. Moot point for me personally now as the Branson has AG tires, and they are pretty heavy duty (which is what I wanted in the first place!) They are 8 ply sidewalls, which is what most R 4's are.

      yes, but the Kioti has side vents that blow air as well. I just think Its too bad... They could have easily put 2 of those 4 vents to use better than just an intake. The Branson I'm getting has an intake like the Kioti (square) and all the vents blow air. That Branson is a tank, best made tractor I've ever rode... (Yes, better than the Deere's and Kubota's I've used... As long as it holds up :)

  • @ryanjohnson9779
    @ryanjohnson9779 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Everyone has opinions and we all know what they are worth. I know a lot about this size tractors as I have sold all brands in late model tractors that are dealer and bank repos. The Kioti is a well made machine and the RX7320 is a good option for you. TYM and Branson you are rolling a dice. They are cheaper for a reason, you likely will pay for it down the road when parts are expensive or that dealer closes shop and goes away. It doesn't sound like the finances would work to but a great option would be a 75HP tractor with loader that is a year to a few years old with a few hundred hours where you could get one in the low to mid 30s price range. From my personal experience the Kubota M series (I understand your dealer is not the best) is top of the line, followed closely by a Massey, Kioti RX, or New T4 series machine or Case C series. Branson, TYM, and Mahindra's all rank low for the problems, dealer availability, and lake of good mechanics who are familiar with the machines. John Deere E series have many issues as well and you are going to pay extra for that green paint. Might be worth staying put for a year to find out the returns from 211 to see if this time next year you would still want to spend the extra money. My 2 cents

      yep, I spec'd them out and contacted the dealer to check them out... No response. Once they heard that I need to trade mine in, they stopped replying to me. They didn't want to take in my Kioti, sounds like they'd rather just sell mostly new. Honestly, glad it worked out this way because the dealer is much closer, small family owned and take care of people, so I think it will be a good relationship.

    I agree with your comments about both tractors being quality machines and offering great Standard Features. Both units are very good. I believe the Korean Manufacturers are blowing everyone away at present. The big names are not totally "Made-in the USA" You could go with either tractor and do well. BUT, you are not comparing APPLES to APPLES! If you want to compare properly, then you should compare the TYM-654 CAB with the Kioti RX-7320 CAB/Shuttle. Engine HP / PTO HP will be the same. I think you will find your frame, tire size, loader, and general stoutness would also be the same. The Kioti NX should be compared to the TYM 45/55 HP Cab Unit. Also the NX-6010 is 60 Hp not 55 and the RX cup holder could possibly be bigger... I also hear everyone talking about the TYM axle size. I would need to see the metallurgy to say the bigger one is automatically stronger. I can show a 1/2" bolt stronger than a 5/8" bolt by changing the metallurgy... Also what is the 1/2 Shaft Size inside? The RX Axle will also be larger with the bigger tires and loader. If I was buying a new tractor today, I would also be looking at the Kioti and TYM; and I own a Kobota and a Deere. Just saying, Both are very good choices, but the tug off should be against the RX-7320... Good Luck

    • @kapperoutdoors
      @kapperoutdoors  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks man, yes you are correct, not an apple to apple, but I only compared them because the NX was the tractor I had and I was looking to upgrade. HOWEVER... since then I did get a Kioti RX7320 and it is totally a beast! Love it. Thanks, take care

    Dude I’ve watched so many videos on both tractors, and so far I think the TYMs are better. I hope I’m right because I just bought a TYM T264, much smaller than what you’re working with here but it’s enough for what I need. The front axles look so much beefier on the TYM than on the comparable Kioti.

    • @kapperoutdoors
      @kapperoutdoors  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well the problem was that I did not have a comparable utility tractor. The NX was a hydro compact so not the best comp. But good luck, Korea does have some great products and machines. Thanks

      @mikecooper7094 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kapperoutdoors thanks! Yeah I hope buying the TYM wasn’t a mistake…we’ll see though lol. I do like the price point on the Kioti, but the particular model I was after, I was told was out of stock and they didn’t know when they’d get any more in. So I went back to my 1st choice, which was the TYM. Be safe out there, keep on tractor-ing!

    Check the width on the wheelbase on the TYM, it looks a bit more narrow than the Kioti which will reduce your stability on a side slope- I think. It might just be because of the difference in tire types. of course I could have just waited until the end to make my comment and then say, grats, I hope you like the new ride.

    • @eosjoe565
      @eosjoe565 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Both of those tractors have 5-position wheels and he has the Kioti in the widest position.

    • @kapperoutdoors
      @kapperoutdoors  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, the new Branson is about the same width as the Kioti, I think it's about 74.5 inches. I wanted it that way to still be able to use all of my implements and get in small roads and paths. But the difference is that it is nearly double the weight, which I believe will more than compensate for the added height. The thing will be about 11,000 lbs!!!!

Trust me, If I find any truth like that I will make it known, but having owned 2 John Deere's, One Kioti, One Ford and used another Kubota awhile, That Branson is build better than any of them.. Unfair comparison. Should've used a Kioti RX6610. Larger frame and beefier footprint like the TYM. I'll take the Kioti any day of the week. This was like putting a F150 up against an F350 and expecting equal results. Fail

      Well, if you paid attention, I mentioned that I only compared the TYM with the tractor that I currently had, which was the kioti. Thanks.

    Interesting, buying more hp than the TYM is a "different story"....probably better.

    I will stop watching if the Kioti leaves the channel

      That's too bad.... Kioti did not want to take in my trade.... Didn't even get back to me to look at an RX model... I think they are slipping since they've grown so fast...
