    Indian culture is very vast so its music as well. Indian classical music has its own value because the ragas emerge from nature. Every ragas has a great impact on human mind. Our classical music is spreading across the globe ,it is good for humanity.

    Oh God..so much profound knowledge you are spreading to these foreign kids..must be so new / unknown to them .. So nice..such great job you are doing.. They seem so unusually quiet and focused. This is a sure shot way to sort out so many issues and enrich their lives as well.. kudos to you madam. .Here in metros Indian kids are becoming so alien to our culture.. lovely to see this

      Thank you very much for the feedback and for appreciating my efforts. They are choir music ( singing) students. Even though this is completely unusual for them, they were able to follow. You are right, they are quiet and focussed and are respectful.

    When i was kid in 1995. I used to live in Kerala because my dad used to work there. In the morning i used to listen beautiful female voices singing, it was so soothing. I dont know if it was coming from school or temple.

      Yes it isn't the same
      Indian classical music is divided into two parts:-
      1) Hindustani classical(North Indian)
      2)Karnatic(South Indian)
      Did you notice she is singing Sa ri ga ma whereas in hindustani it's Sa re ga ma.

    I have been trying to get my 6 yr old daughter to take interest in carnatic music since the time she was 3 without success. Any tips on how i can coax her into learning carnatic music.

    • @plbhat03
      @plbhat03  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hard to coax, if they are interested. But you can play very good Carnatic music and not ask her directly to listen but keep playing to influence her indirectly. Sometimes playing instrumental music might help, devotional music or Suprabhatahams meera bhajans by MS Subbulakshmi amma, Marathi Abhangs, etc may be a good start. I hope this helps.
