NATO is not a defensive alliance. They illegally bombed Yugoslavia (direct violation of the UN Charter). We must never forget what they did to Libya, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria etc.
They bombed Serbia, not Yugoslavia. And that was after the atrocities and genocide the Serbs commited. The bombing of the Chinese embassy though, is not acceptable.

Serbia president Vuvic asked EU for help but was ignored. So he asked China. The next day China sent the equipment right away with a team of expert. That how China is an iron friend to Serbia.

Only after this video, do I understand why the Serbians welcome President Xi, like the Catholics greeted the pope. I don't think I have even seen such a crowd turning out to greet a foreign political leader.
Happy too that the Serbians are not a people to forget the help rendered by others in their times of need.

That Xi's article in Serbia is really an overwhelming piece. A marker of a major geopolitical turn. It is truly something.
These days, working with China means economic developments and prosperity. Serbia (and Hungary) clearly has leaders that care very much about improving its people's lives. A quality that most Western ''leaders'' lack.
Thanks so much for this report Ben, this event (little known to Western public) was really a turning point for the Chinese to build both an economically and militarily stronger nation ending the ''Century of Humiliation''. The embassy was deliberately targeted as China opposed the US/NATO bombing of Yugoslavia. I listened to a lecture by a Chinese history professor who gave examples not only of the use of cluster bombs in Yugoslavia, but also of depleted uranium bombs. He also mentioned the effects these bombs caused, especially cancer among children. The USA turned Serbia into a testing ground.

I lived trough this bombing of Serbia and no one talks about this in the West ever but our families suffer from cancer in incredible rate. Both my sisters and both parents had cancer problems due to high radiation after bombing. And many families like mine still suffer this. These cluster and other bombs might not have killed thousands during war but they did something we still suffer and die from. Sadly some Serbians are starting to turn towards the West and EU as they simply want better life. But most cant stand NATO and their mission to destroy Serbia in any possible way. From propaganda people hear in the West to actual separatist and political and economy deals everything is in order to dismantle corrupt and stagnate the development while claiming they are doing the opposite. No one cares about Serbian victims in any war, no one asks that any of these wars was Serbia actually responding to aggression from others that obviously were pushed by NATO and FBI. So yeah. Not as someone who was born in Serbia, but as someone who cherish truth and history (the real one de facto history) i will never stop preaching about evil NATO is spreading over the Balkan peninsula. Yes USSteel bought a Serbian steel plant that China had helped save, USS promissed to spend $150million to modernise the plant but didn't, and ran it into the ground and then sold it. And China rescued the steel mill and modernised it into a successfull mill that it is today.

Brother, i want to thank you for speaking out the truth about US NATO aggression that unfolded back in 1999. 1 thing you got wrong is a number of civilians killed during 70 days off bombarding Serbia. Its over 4000 civilians died,including children and elderly people on public transportation like buses and others. It's a war crime, no questions asked. Some tipes of bombs used had nuclear waste charge in them. Not only did they kill so many civilians, but they also poisoned the land. So much that cancer rate from that period until now increased by staggering 800%. Sad but truth and nothing but the facts. People should know about this.

Greeks will be even more thankful once the railroad from Athens to Belgrade is rebuilt and brought up to high speed rail standards. More than half of that railroad line will directly serve Greek internal traffic, avoiding problems like that horrible derailment last year.

It makes sense now. here in the Philippines after the oust of Marcos sr. the next administration sold all government own company like steel company to private company and those private company didn't really invest and destroy the company very similar to Serbia steel case.

The NAZI, sorry, NATO/US/EU/UK terror organization has been threatening Serbia with destabilization (via their local terror troups in kosovo) so the Serbian gov is really up against it with these criminals (NATO) coz Serbia supports Russia in this geopolitical conflict. China can help economically and security wise along with Russia. Just to diagress a little, the Iranians weren savagely attacked coz Russia and China will offer some defence as Iran is part of SCO. Apart from Iran being very capable.

Serbia president Vuvic asked EU for help but was ignored. So he asked China. The next day China sent the equipment right away with a team of expert. That how China is an iron friend to Serbia.
China also helped bringing the Piraeus port of Greece back to life and saving jobs when Greece was in default in 2012 during the finanical crisis. The port now is making profits. Thanks China a lot for that.
