- Join along for a 4 day trip in my life as an airline pilot. On this trip all of my layovers were in Dallas so I take advantage of the best BBQ spot in the area. Overall it was a great trip with some good workouts great food and some smooth landings. Hope you enjoy this one and I’ll see you next Monday ✈️

Pilots deserve their high pay if not more, people are putting their lives in the hands of these people to get them there safely

Always have some zinc lozenges from Sprouts for cold prevention with you 👍. Why Sprouts because they taste good. Zinc alone is bitter
When you fly regional and move to major does your time start over? Ex I’ve been flying for 5-6 yrs as captain now moving up means I’m back at the bottom of the pole for scheduling, flight hours etc
You should check out Dr. Mike israteal (hope I spelt that right) highly recommend adopting his philosophy towards muscle building

What happens when a flight gets canceled and you get the day off. You get paid when the brakes get pulled I believe you said. So would you get paid for the hours you were supposed to fly or no pay at all?

Seeing you hit a cold plunge was pretty awesome Joey. 🤙I've been doing cold plunges for almost a year now and I wondered if it would be completely foreign to other pilots. The daily challenge, dopamine spike, and muscle recovery aspect make it priceless to me personally.

I’m from Fort Worth, Hutchins is my favorite bbq joint! I can tell yall went to the one in Southlake/Trophy Club Area. That one is my go to and the people are super good and the food never misses, cool shout out to those guys!

Fellow airline pilot here (SWA guy) - I’ve lifted for years but really started getting into running. Encouraging to see someone else who doesn’t meal prep 😅. That’s the hardest part of this job for me is just trying to eat reasonably healthy on the road.
Hi Joey - as an older Irish gay man in the U.K. and as an aviation enthusiast, I really do enjoy your videos about your life as a First Officer - I find that in this part of the world, the Pilots weather is the most accurate and I also have a lot of aviation and pilot related apps on my iPad as I have family in Ireland - I’m not going to lie, the fact that you are a very handsome young man attracted me to your channel - perhaps you should have another channel dedicated exclusively to the flying aspects of your life as a First Officer, if your airline allows cameras in the flight deck and also exploring your potential to become an airline Captain

2:23 seriously though, this adds to your fitness in the flight deck and your enhanced ability to cope in an inflight emergency situation - both your airline and the FAA should see this as a real plus and should be using this in pilot training programmes
