Same here. I wanted an S4 or am RS5. The i4 never appealed to me when it came out because of the performance. Had the local BMW send me ads and saw the M50. Looked into it, and fell in love with the Specs. Took a look at it in the dealer and loved it. Pricing and monthly cost was a no brainer. Sold my 2022 Q5 to buy it. I never test drove it before I bought it. Took me a few minutes to get use to it. I have owned 8 cars in the past 11 years. It is definitely my favorite. The it M60 might be my next but love the size, it's more sporty.
how can a car that is on fossil platform + ultrashort rear legroom the best electric car ? BMW iX xDrive40 is the best EV ever. BMW i4 is nothing special.
I have owned the M50 for approx 9 months (12k miles) and the driving experience has been fulfilling each time. It may not and need not be the best but it’s pretty high in its class. Tesla owners have driven my car and agree with me. The fact that it’s built on an ICE chassis is a plus given it looks and feels like a regular car and still maintains efficiency fairly close to a Tesla.
M50 best car I've ever owned. Prior cars over many years mostly manual transmission. Xdrive 40 is same car without the insane acceleration.

The driving experience is one of a kind, the best for a EV car.
