It's wrecked now with the overdevelopment of new (within the last 8 +/- years) commercial buildings factories and industry. Might as well call it Bristol Industrial Park now rather than Bristol. I'm a lifelong resident in the same house since 1966 as well. All us old-timers and lifers HATE what they are doing to our once very rural small town. People will be leaving it's getting bad enough to that point. They are destroying farmland, fields, woods, old established neighborhoods by the week so it seems the last decade or so.
No, not cozy anymore after all the new huge 200,000, 300,000, 500,000+ sq/ft factories started popping up all over the place right up beside and intertwined with residential and agricultural neighborhoods/areas. You like looking around and seeing a factory right next to your house that formally was surrounded by fields and woods? Most people don't!
Subway and Mancino's is actually in Bristol. Whoever was driving this car was nearly to Elkhart just as the video cut off. That is CR17 where you will find McDonald's, Taco Bell, Dairy Queen, another Subway, Ace Hardware, etc etc. It's 5 miles away and not "Bristol" though.

I grew up there and moved away when I joined the military in 1984. Things have really changed!

South Bend is 45 minutes to 1 hour away from Bristol depending on which way you take. Lol

This town has no franchise stores like McDonalds, K-Mart or CVS ?
