Formerly known as Missions Expanded, this mod has shifted to encompass a MUCH larger scope than previously, and introduced mission trees, events, government mechanics, subjects, and MUCH MUCH more.

Brazil having colonies in South America is because when Portugal loses all his lands in Europe they "flee" to Brazil, switching nations.
My problem with Austria-Hungary as formable is that in reality it was essentially a REVERSE.
Austria became Austria-Hungary not as "formable" like Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, Germany or Russia, but because Hungary got the autonomy. Hungary got the autonomy as the result of appeasing the Hungarian nationalists in order to prevent Habsburgs completly losing control. It was not "strenghening" the union, it was the opposite. It was done as the sign of internat weakness. Moreover, diplomatically it never really was considered a single nation, it was closer to more modern version of Personal Unions.
To sum it all up, in terms of EU4 mechanics, formation of various countries looked that:
Muscovy -> Muscovy conquering some land in the Rus -> Russia formed
Prussia -> Prussia with German vassals -> Germany formed, vassals integrated
Poland has PU with Lithuania -> PLC forms as the countries of the union integrate further
Austria has control over Hungary directly -> Hungary gets released as PU (this is basically what "Austria-Hungary" was)

@@Chewbert I think Hungarian nationalists do. They still post maps of Hungarian lands that got signed away in the WWI peace deal.

Europa expanded is a great curse, for that I love it so much, can no longer play without it making achievement runs impossible

About the caliph thing, the history about it is that when baghdad fell, the son of the last caliph went to egypt or was there already, so the mamluks took him in to add legitimacy to their rule, when the mamluks fell, the ottomans made an agreement with the caliph of the time is that he'll be the last Abbasid caliph, and he'll make the ottoman ruler an heir of the caliph to give them legitmacy too
Finally, we see the minimally-acceptable AI Austria-Hungary. Good job, AI!

what do you use to zoom an pan the map at different angles in the intros of your videos? Is it just editing or is there a specific in game tool for that?

Insane game, don't think I've ever seen AI this aggressive so early. Wonder if the mod changes AI behavior?
actually with the missions given it gives incentive to the AI. most nations won't ever declare war simply because they are not given a claim by god himself to attack another country.

I enjoyed playing as Henry of Skalitz in Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Very different kind of rpg, if not a real hard one to fully get

the ottomans generally don't expand as much in europa expanded idk why although one thing i have noticed is that aragon seems to guarantee albania really often in europa expanded

Love this mod, but Byzantium feels much harder than Vanilla. Maybe it's just a Skill Issue on my part, but every run ends with the Ottomans having their entire army on my border in 1444 and immediately declaring on Athens.
It is caused by their easy doing first mission 90% of forcelimit gives them claims to Morea , Athens , Constantinople
