bro Ive been paying with my US credit card here in Buenos Aires for the last 2 weeks, I get pretty much same rate as dolar blue. They just passed a new law that allows US credit card companies to use the unofficial rate. They are using the MEP rate which is pretty damn close. Im not sure if all banks/credit cards are providing this rate though. You could bring cash if you want but its def not necessary and way more convenient to use card

A good traditional breakfast is Facturas (croissants black cakes watchman...) cafe con leche; tostados (toasted ham and cheese sandwich) and cappuccino... or MATE, but that's more for a snack (afternoon type 5 or 6 pm) with friends or family...

I stayed in nunez and la boca, love their malbecs. I’ve veg so I didn’t try the bife but I hope yiou do. I loved BA, tried to go to iguazu but the plane turned around. There’s an amazing record store in Palmero. The people were so nice, I left my debit card in the machine and it was returned to me w/o issue. Check out the cemetery in recoleta

Correction. I stayed at the Marriott Plaza Hotel in Buenos Aires. Near Calle Florida and Plaza San Martin. You should check that hotel as well. It is a nice area. Near La Recoleta and Porto Madero and it is a Marriott property as well.
Volpe I was looking into this. Always interested in travel. I found an article that states you can Western Union yourself money and get a very similar exchange rate. You can use a credit card and receive cash at a high exchange rate at retail stores in Argentina. Therefore, if you need more money, you can use your credit or debit card and convert it to a very similar exchange rate to what you received and pick up the cash at a retailer.

Next time you can send money to yourself via WU and pick it up in one of their bigger offices. Argentina started to implement dolar MEP, you can use your foreign cards with exchange rate close to blue. * Visa and Mastercard but always check with your bank first. Have fun.

I stayed at the same hotel in Buenos Aires when I went to Argentina a few years back. You should go to Viva La Vaca for all you can eat meat. It is close from the Marriott at Porto Madero. Have fun

Great video. Do be aware that there are many fake peso bills "Falsos". FYI, effective in Dec. 2022, Foreign Tourists' Credit Cards will get charged the MEP (Electronic Means of Payment), close to the Blue Dollar rate. You may want to consider this to minimize the loads of cash you'd have to carry.
DONT FORGET TO GET PARILLADA IN THE STEAKHOUSE YOU WILL LOVE IT
I did this in 2013, Florida street in Buenos Aires! Black market exchange was 3/1 over the official rate. Ate like a king for a month! Most backpackers day trip to Uruguay to buy American dollars and change them back in Argentina.
