Shame not more detail on fitting the seals, rebuilding the forks and then refitting to yokes, alignment and front wheel refitting!
    Great videos though

Excellent series.. I had a 916 back in the day.. Current project is a slightly furry ‘99 RRX Fireblade.. My Aprilia RSV Factory takes great interest in me skinning knuckles & swearing a lot lol I’m now looking for a 3rd bike.. note to self, stop looking at eBay! 🙈

Haha you know it’s a big job when the old Alstom overalls come out every man and his dog has worked for them an has a set myself included. Great series been eyeing an old 748 or 916 up myself an this is just making me think more and more it’s a good idea look forward to more episodes 👍🏻

Really enjoying these videos. My 748 was written off in 2002, as was nearly myself. Haven’t ridden since but would love to do a project like this. It would be interesting to know how much you had to spend when it’s complete.

Dave, my 748's discs are about 4mm thick measured with a vernier... I think the service limit is what, 4.5?
Also, did Ohlins ever make a cartridge kit or a shim stack kit for these forks? My Showa forks have Ohlins stickers on them from a previous owner, dunno if it's for show(a) or not 🤦‍♂
Also also, with B&C express now only selling to trade 😒where would you recommend us public scum get bits from now?
Thanks for your time, but realise, you owe me. It's cos of you I bought this bloody thing! 🤣

They probably have Ohlins springs, although it's difficult to confirm. They didn't do cartridge kits for them.
I can supply most parts, drop me a message via the website
