- #NawazuddinSiddiqui talks to #RajeevMasand about his acting process - how he makes every gangster he's played different from each other, why he acts from the head not the heart, why he's never seen much merit in rehearsing his lines in front of a mirror, the crime film he loves greatly, and the actor who has most inspired him. He also explains why doesn't think the second season of #SacredGames was underwhelming, and reveals the goals he's set for himself.

Nawazuddin has always mentioned Naseeruddin shah as his inspiration.
Naseeruddin Shah is the Godfather for actors in Hindi Cinema. Irrfan and Manoj always mention his name as well. Also paresh Rawal said that he's an actor because of naseer sahab.

@Trendsetter 38 Agree with you man Salman khan is the worst 'period'. I find it funny when Abhishek Bachchan gets trolled coz he is not that bad as much people make out to be, I mean he is no Nawazuddin but still In some of his performances he brings out the passion but SK on the other hand plays the same 'character' year after year, film after film yet maintains the same level of third-class acting.

Nawaz is someone who finds out talented directors and supports them. And then becomes very good friends with the directors for life. Actor director friendship is very good thing that can produce great works.
Sacred games part two was more complex and more interesting than first one.... Thoroughly enjoyed Anurag-Nawaz combo once again in part 2

The only hindi movie i watched this year was PHOTOGRAPH. to me the conversation between Daddi And Nawaz was on a very different level.i have never seen dialog exchange between two characters like this in hindi films.

I loved sacred games season 2 much more
only 4 actors over the entire course of Indian cinema have managed to let the audience think about their characters. They have managed to humor them, make them cry and most importantly think about them and the character arc they bring. - Dilip Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan. Soon, Nawazuddin Siddiqui will be among them; I am confident of that.

Why is everyone seeing Season 2 was bad.... personally it was far more ambitious and script wise better.
Right wing section on social media is also spreading this thing that makers of Sacred game are 'liberal' & being a Liberal is not according to our Indian culture according to them. It’s sad his films aren’t working in box office even though they have very high ratings which shows that Indian audience hasn’t really grown yet. Nawaz is in his prime right now and we aren’t appreciating his work.
