Fun fact: It's been scientifically proven that weapon "malfunctions and accidental discharges" are significantly higher when aiming at Voll, not sure why.
Most likely based on the Pulse shooting, after which multiple people involved in the initial response talked about that happening, and the worst part being they weren't allowed to just pick up and explain what happened.
the 911 calls really get me, First glimpse of how much this game can get to you was the girl in the bed during Twisted Nerve, She's around my daughters age.. its really not a game its a simulator
I don’t understand how some people think this game basically rewards police brutality… To get an S rank everyone must survive including hostages suspects and officers
I know right most if not all of the people that complain about the games content either have not played it or have zero interest in playing it and they just want to ruin it for everyone that does enjoy the realism
I seriously don't understand it. We can go even deeper. The more the game progresses, the enemies become more aggressive, more well-trained, better armored and with much better weapons. On the narrative side, they also become much more serious. First they're some thugs robbing a gas station, then they're junkies with guns, then a paramilitary security contractor firm, then a literal terrorist organization. And if you want to get S rank, you not only need to save every civilian, but you need to stare down all these guys with decked out rifle platforms, tanking shots while shooting FMJ ammo through doors and walls and you return fire by shooting them with tasers, pepper balls, bean bags and non-lethal ordinance. And you can't even afford to incapacitate them, you have to apprehend them while they're fully conscious and unharmed. You literally have to put yourself in a counter-terrorist life or death situation and shoot the armed suspects with spicy paintball guns to get the S ranking. And people say this game is about police brutality. Motherfucker, I'm the one getting brutalized through walls because I aim to be a good cop! I will never understand how a realistic and faithful depiction of SWAT operation can be label as "police brutality", when the whole game's premise is to go in a hostile situation with odds stacked against you to save all civilians, following ROE and avoid killing suspects and ARREST prime suspects instead of treating them as every other armed assailant. You are literally the good guy, a good cop, saving lives. Police brutality where ?
@@Yourdad6996-v2 They don't need to play it. This isn't a misunderstanding. They saw cops being presented positively. That's what they think is the issue. They don't like that.
That basement in Valley of the Dolls is like the white-phosphorus scene in Spec-ops The Line. Its the ONE THING I think everyone knows about this game, even if they HAVEN'T played it.
Did you even tried to do S rank with boys and slug shotgun on port when every single one of them see you behind walls and trucks? Or shooting you below containers ? Not to mention long range distance . Everyone heavy weapon btw too . Doll valley is joke
Since Judge is the only character you control in the single-player story and the only one who doesn't seem to suffer any mental health issues throughout the game, it wouldn't be surprising if all the theories about him turned out to be true
The theory that he's in purgatory is very fitting for his nickname and it explains the many 'unknowns' in his profile. I've also heard a theory that Judge was put into the police and eventual SWAT team by a criminal organisation to get hidden information.
I dunno, I don't really buy that. I mean I see what you are getting at due to his back round or rather lack thereof but it just seems more likely that he would be a result of the experiment, why else would the conspiracy theorist who was aware of all this be looking for him specifically.@@nocturnalcove9736
Judge's Bio: "he maintains a professional demeanor." Judge during gameplay: *Smacks suspects in the back of the head and kicks them in the back as he detains them* I just find it funny lmao
(bodyslams the piss out of a resistive suspect) report- "suspect was escorted to the ground and placed in handcuffs, which were then double-locked and checked for proper fit."
Something I'll like to add about the copaganda allegations: The game implies you're solving nothing in the long run because the problem in Los Sueños is caused by the crisis those at the top created, mainly poverty just like IRL. The LSPD just deals with the consequences while keeping the status quo, either intentionally or not. If anything, this is a very fair critique towards the police.
This is how it's always worked, law enforcement is by nature reactionary. I don't see this as a critique towards the police, just a realization that the police have always been reaping the consequences of political failure.
i had the same question when i first heard this term, in short it would be depicting the actions of police forces (like arresting, using physical force, killing people during action, etc), in a good light that could glamorize or justify bad actions done by some cop. But i think this bad view of the police corporation is more of a american thing because of the racial tensions that the country has and bad actions taken by cops stimulated by racism and other factors. But honestly is kinda hard for me to grasp this problem because here in brazil the population is massively pro-cops and other armed forces (military, navy, etc) and see them very favorably in comparison to other state entities. @@HerrJaeger64
i dont think that's a critique of police. Like that implies they should stop trying to keep law and order. As if that's somehow supposed to lead to anything getting fixed. That just makes things worse. I think it's best to just say the people are reaping what the politicians have sowed and leave it at that.
@gpheonix1 They're a tool of the system that created the problem in the first place. They might not be the direct responsible since it's very clear the main cause of crime are the politicians who run the city, but they're certainly the keepers of it by not focusing on stopping the ones who are actually to blame for all of this. And this is why it's a critique, because in real life, at least in America (and I specifically mention America because this is where the game is set), the police is nothing but keepers of the status quo and defenders of the interest of the wealthy.
In regards to Judge Langley.. Langley Virginia is the home of the CIA. From the wiki page about it: Langley is an unincorporated community in the census-designated place of McLean in Fairfax County, Virginia, United States. The name "Langley" often occurs as a metonym for the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), as the community is home to the CIA headquarters, the George Bush Center for Intelligence. So Judge definitely either is or has been USIA/CIA
could even be some sort of delta force operator embedded with police under USIA supervision (kinda like in Sicario) judging by all the fucked up stuff that happens in that city
What’s funny is that in the R6 single player missions the last mission which I’m sure can be played multiplayer deals with the White masks literally gassing an ENTIRE UNI CAMPUS and people are getting mad at ready or not sheesh
It was removed and replaced by the new tutorial. But man, Terrorist Hunt was crazy. Article 5 dude… Pure insanity. They gassed an entire city. Tons and tons of people died. Children, women, police. Lore wise, it’s also the reason why Rainbow Six Siege happened.
@@WoahBro203 to be more accurate rainbow was deactivated following the events in r6 patriots that we never see. then later on the white mask threat becomes known and rainbow is reactivated.
I'd like to add that Judge gets doctor notes at the end of every mission, but never attends the doctor's office. However, all of his squadmates get stressed and pulled from the team everybso often if they experience crisis
fun fact, USIA was a real agency that existed from 1953 to 1999. It was essentially a public diplomacy agency and was eventually absorbed into the State Dept.
I remember first playing through Valley of The Dolls before it had everything added. The only creepy thing was a weird radio in Russian. Then, when it finally came out, I found out just how horrific the map itself is. Also, at least one pair of feet is just Huntr after he shaved his legs for it. Again also, the game was stated by the devs to take place on varying dates from 2021-2022. Also x3: School (Renamed to EDUCATION CENTER) is still coming. Confirmed by the devs. Fast Food, however, has been cancelled for the future. Though it may return after COYOTE. Also x4: The entire thing with the PULSE anniversary was a complete accident. the devs said on stream they didn't even mean to announce it around then, as it was already announced a week prior for supporters. Also x5: Christina is a name for Crystal Meth.
I really like the theory that Judge is in purgatory. Especially after seeing the connections between him, the USIA, and the stuff you see in Lethal Obsession. The name of "Judge" as the main character makes sense in so many ways, obviously for the fact that you "judging" people in every mission, you're determining what the best course of action is, and you're trying to complete the mission with as few deaths as possible. The whole, "Bring Order to Chaos" motto just feels like it's what Judge represents. You, as a player, get judged at the end for what you've done in the mission, and I find it interesting that the only way to S a level is to not kill anyone, even those who are the most despicable of humans. Idk, I want to play more and learn more about this stuff because of this video. There's a lot more I wanna say about this but I really can't say more until I've actually completed all the missions in the 1.0 release. But I just find it fascinating that Void has this sort of "style" to their game that really reinforces that idea that something is wrong, something is empty. I find the whole ARG they did similar to that sort of style. I want it to mean much more and I can't wait to piece together more theories as I explore the game more.
I made that reddit post, I'm less confident in it now because a lot of the dream like atmosphere was due to early access lack of polish, particularly disjointed voicelines, but it still is compelling. The game, especially the environmental storytelling in sketches on the walls, graffitti, and whatnot do hint at a supernatural or otherwordlly influence deep beneath the surface.
@@1111Tactical I'm glad you made that post! Even if you're less confident in it, I still feel what you meant by the dreamy atmosphere. The new station, despite being bigger, still has those NPC's who just stand there and do nothing. Obviously there are game design reasons why, cause budget and stuff, but it's still fun to theorize about. What new thing I've learned is that you can get a secret "kill me" command if you kill an innocent person mistakenly. You even get an achievement for it. After saying "Kill me", Judge has some really depressing voice lines that make me think that if this were purgatory, this is the reason he's being judged. He killed an innocent, and "replaying" this memory. Speaking of achievements, there are some Tarot card names. The Magician (arrest downed suspect, find out they're faking it) The Devil (Use the Kill Me command) The Fool (Be killed by a civilian) The World (Complete game in ironman mode) The Hermit (Complete ironman mode without losing an officer) The Hanged Man (Complete Port using only a taser, flashbangs, and bash) There could be more meaning with these, but honestly they feel like they mean what the achievement says, rather than having any deeper meaning. I could be wrong though, who knows.
The Chinese public are indoctrinated by their government unfortunately, so it's really not their fault, you can't blame them for coming to their Country's defense, but in reality, yeah, it's really fucking dumb.
And there’s lots of Hispanics in this game, SWAT officers, suspects, civilians, some missions even revolve around cartels (If im not mistaken, Los Locos but im pretty sure that’s some gang)
If looked from the iceberg perspective, the game started as a cool game with some interesting background elements put into it, and ended up being more tangled than the Black Ops timeline… Good vid tho
I don’t think it’s entirely tangled though for example the dolls I guess trio of missions the Russian port and everything seems to connect in some way with I’m guessing as more updates roll out more and more of the fucked up parts of los sueños and who’s shot calling if it’s criminals or the usia etc will be revealed and connected
I really dig the Vietnam alt-history angle. My head canon when playing is that Vietnam was won by us which did resolve SOME political issues, but caused a plethora of additional geo-political and domestic issues. Refugee crises, opium epidemic potentially hitting the US harder, especially the West coast and CCP and USSR using subversive/criminal tactics as an act of revenge.
I just thought of something, what if Judge is like the next gen of the USIA's project? The MLA is like the older model, and Judge is the newest test subject, and they need to test him? That's why he was being warned because he might be able to break the "cycle" of mind control?
This video needs an updated version now that all the "hypothetical" missions are real. If only Micheal "Milky Toes" ONLY had an illegal mining operation....
additonally, 26:40, RoN uses AI generation for its pictures of people usually if they are not story assets, there lots of random pics in the game thaw ar clearly AI made
33:14 For me, the "The Spider" is three people that are in control. Because it always looked like there are three faces that make up the main body of the spider. And the people that made up the limbs are the "Arms/Enforcers" of The Spider.
On the note of this game being “copaganda” You play as the police. It’s copaganda You play as the bad guys, it promotes violence You can never win with the media I mean you can play as the civilian in an active shooting situation, but then you’d get in trouble with making the game in the first place
I always thought that The Valley of the dolls basement is just a random basement, since I don’t auctually keep an eye out for the lore. Thank you for this amazing video!
12:47 I remember finding that 1990s calendar in the police department by chance before and being freaked tf out by it because its of the month I was born...
Absolutely loved this video, meant to fall asleep to it but was stuck to my screen all the way through. i cant wait for more lore after the game releases 1.0 tomorrow
Maybe the reason Scott is so fixated on judge and why he talks about that woman in past tense like she’s dead is that hudge had something to do with her death like a mission gone horribly wrong resulting in some heavy casualties or it’s just scott caethon and he’s finally lost it after someone asked him about golden freddy for the millionth time
Don’t know if you already found out but eve is a leader of an all female militia on the mission carriers of the vine, both are ex usia agents who I’m guessing were married or partners, unsure if he was abusive in someway or what really the whole thing is (still trying to s rank as we speak)
They have different last names, yes could be because they split but to disprove that, as of 1.0 when you get a B rank on carriers of the vine, the evidence you get is a police arrest report from 10 years ago with the names "Eve Nader" & "Derrick Alfonso Nader", essentially confirming that it's 2 different eve's and the fact she may be ex USIA (which is doubtful unless confirmed). As far as I can tell, Carriers of the Vine is mostly made up of female human trafficking victims.@@dabubba4603
@dabubba4603I know I'm 4 months late, but eve is just some missing civilian. The USIA agent you mean is Elaine Raskin. I doubt that eve has anything to do with scott.
For clarification: i don't know what drugs your contact from the nda testing was on, but i was too. And yes, at the beginning the maps were almost empty and no textures; but we had several updates and i remember seeing 3 different versions of the "Welcome come again" (gas station) level during the nda tests alone.
Great video man. I hope you do an update now that the 1.0 is out. Side note: the discourse on “Copaganda” is so stupid. Everyone gets their panties in a twist because “you’re fighting bad guys who are unequivocally evil”. That’s what SWAT is for! They aren’t beat cops, they don’t do patrols, they are called for the WORST situations that require, you guessed it, special weapons and tactics for that situation. There are evil people in this world who do things only for themselves, you’re just playing through realistic scenarios taking those people down.
In fairness, some swat team members do on occasion go on patrol to keep that edge that beat cops develop. The copaganda line is bs though. SWAT or Special Weapons and Tactics, are called in for situations that regular police can't handle. Examples would be hostage rescue, protection route securement, terrorist attacks, mass casualty events, and unique scenarios where the skills of a swat team member would be extremely useful like shooting the gun out of the hand of a criminal. (yes this has happened)
SWAT was created specifically to counter groups such as the Black Panthers and anti-war protesters, hardly objectively evil groups. They're also increasingly used for situations that actually don't require them due to how funding is allocated based on use rather than need.
just thought I'd add a bit to the Cycle entry, earlier you mentioned that Team17 would've been the publisher for Ready or Not before they had cut ties. It just so happens that Team17 is also the publisher for the game Trepang2 and there's heavy mention of a "cycle" in there too. The Cycle in Trepang2 being a sort of project of cloned super soldiers who're used for all sorts of things, like black operations, infiltrations and sabotage. The character you play as is the 106th iteration of the cycle and throughout the game you're tasked with taking down previous rogue iterations, all of them also constantly telling you to break the cycle and to take down the organization that's running the project instead. Of course this could all just be a big coincidence since Trepang2 focuses a lot more on the paranormal unlike Ready or Not's more grounded setting. Edit: added more information
When first listening to the cycle tape, he kind of sounded like The Patriarch, and I half expected him to say "Break the cycle..." in the same way he says it when you kill him.
with the 1.0 release of this game, the eve being janey's mom theory kind of makes sense. on the carriers of the vine level, you have to arrest a suspect named Eve Nader, who left her husband and daughter and has been missing since 2011, maybe she was married to Amos, and found out about the basement and his sick affinity for their daughter, and left to join the cult for revenge? cuz as we see they target abusers, rapists, and other unsavory individuals so maybe theres something there. idk
I think the 2035 missing poster one is to avoid anyone thinking they are real people. I'm not too into the lore tho, so it could be something i'm not sure
Great video, though as someone who also got to play the old NDA’d builds of the game I can’t say I agree with your source for this video. Whilst there’s elements of truth to what they’re saying they’re being very bad faith, exaggerating, leaving out context, and in some instances lying. They themselves made their bias clear to you at least.
It sounded a lot like "I bought the clearly labelled "SUPPORTER" edition and was upset that I supported the game and didn't get a full game that I was never promised".
For me, it just felt wrong to play the "Ides of March" mission, since you're very aware that you are killing veterans. However I'm glad Ready or Not has these kind of disturbing missions, as it's the game's goal to show the reality of swatting.
its crazy how in the streamer mission you werent even called because he had cp, one of his viewers made up a story and got him swatted so it was just a coincidence
29:24 So here's what ACTUALLY happened Years ago when i was working on mods for ready or not i was testing custom level data, so i entered in a custom description for one of the levels, simply entering "i hate minorities", this wasn't intended to be seen by anyone, until i started inviting more people to work in the same modding project as me and at some point the level data i edited ended up in an openly downloadable modding preset on nexus. Someone proceeded to download this project, see the text, and bizarrely assume it was put there by Void and not obviously put there by a modder. They posted this to reddit and the controversy happened. Around this time i was still present in some RoN discords and sent a DM to either Guin or one of the devs who's active in the communtiy explaining where the line came from. I do think it is hilarious a small bit of text i put years ago managed to cause a mini controversy. btw, whoever told you 40:00 is misremembering or partially lying, every PvE map had AI and only hotel(old) had broken pathing, there was also numerous updates along with a PvP branch that got tons of updates and was NDA-free, you can look up footage yourself.
To be honest. Games that are rated 18+ should absolutely address real life cruelty though with respect. It should not be brushed under the rug what humans will do in real life. Of course it depends on the game and those kind of details like the "ballons" would be very weird in a CoD for example. Ready or not is a perfect game to put those details in because it's going for that cruel ultra realism. Those kind of details give YOU as a very attentive player that knows these details and the meaning behind them more respect for the environment that you are operating in.
the 2 nouns mentioned around 12:07 are Al Zubahir, one of the hand's leaders. Quademah's right hand man, if i'm not mistaken. and Midi. a village in Yemen, which is the place that America had bombed, and was also Quademah's home. "Have no fear. This night is for Al Zubahir. For Midi. And for all people of Great Yemen."
14:02 Other way around. The canonical order of the missions in this arc are Streamer -> Mindjot -> Agency -> Valley. The pdf that led them to Mindjot was the streamer, as apparently he hacked their servers and found CP there.
The whole spider thing being made out of people reminds me of Alice Cooper, I remember hearing the idea of that from RazorFists recent Metal Mythos video. Apparently it was one of Alice's darkest ideas for a story album of sorts, but I think it was mentioned that some others took the same idea of the "Human Spider killer person" and put their own spin on it, I would love to say the Devs of RON probably knew about the story somehow. 36:14 Edit: OKAY SO.. The album was called "Along Came about a spider" or something like that, but I feel POSITIVE, That maybe one of the Devs are a fan of Alice Cooper! (Lmao, put that on an Iceberg!)
Coincidentally that’s very close title to the movie “Along Came a Spider”, which is based on one of the books in the Alex Cross series. It’s about a serial killer who methodically abducts women and girls. In the movie, he abducts a girl from a private school while in-session.
Ready or Not isn’t scared to exhibit the worst of the worst in the world and that’s what makes it special. The missions have so many references and lore everywhere that you feel the claustrophobia and stress. Also wanted to throw this out there, but the achievement for getting an S on every mission is called Medal of Honor and the Ironman achievements The World and The Hermit. What if that’s how you end the loop that you, stuck in purgatory, must go back and fix what you’ve done. If it is Judge, maybe his previous life was just killing in every mission, but if you have mercy and get an S, you exit the loop. Like if you get the S on every mission, you’d be awarded a Medal of Honor and saving your teammates (The Hermit) would cleanse Judge’s soul and forgive his actions in the past. He would be dreaming over and over until he finally breaks the loop and the game just ends. That supposed perfect hit squad might be us, the players, who fearlessly charge into missions knowing we can’t truly die because it’s all a dream. It all makes sense now… but that’s just my take on it. Great vid btw.
Fun fact about the Venus Project: Look up the Bijlmermeer. They both share parallels, and Venus Project shares the same vibes as some grand utopian construction project meant to solve every problem humanity has ever.
29:49 wildgoose lol, I faintly remember that guy having a personal vendetta against devs or game People speculated it was probably alt of "Lewd SCP 1471-A" who nuked 30k RoN Discord modding server, just because apparently SIX people said they didn't want the server to stay Don't really trust that alt story, but I wouldn't be surprised, considering Lewd unstable behavior
31:46 To me this is clearly meant to just be YOU, judge is who you play as in the full game and their background being completely blank for you to put in the details
some things that aren’t included are all the details in the og police station, like the fact it’s a train station or barb the target and the giant bear statue
32:55 I have a theory from seeing this Missing picture that it was put out by trolls. Because if you look at the date it's April 2 which obviously next day after April Fools Day.
A few notes, not to discredit the video or anything, I think you did a good job on the video for sure. But there are a few points that I should bring up. Voll/brixley have no concrete connection to the russian human trafficking ring, if there was any it would be very loose. While some speculation could be made, the primary import/export made by the russian mob seems to be teenage-adult women. With any younger imports being a small minority/niche exceptions. All of voll's victims are both male and female and seem to be gathered from brixley using his "talent agency" front, and by enticing very low income mothers to willingly give up their children with the promise of large sums of money. The bolton security guards do act more as mobsters than they do "private security" as they are seen acting as loan sharks to get money brixley owes voll. But the individual guards themselves aren't necessarily involved with any of the child exploitation operation directly. It seems the reason they are deciding to shoot at police and such is because 1. voll is compensating them 10 times their normal pay to keep his operation under wraps. And 2. Being associated with the operation is essentially a death sentence trying to win a case in court. And your timeline of events was wrong for valley and data center, the timeline is: ???(Most likely streamer) -> Data Center -> Agency -> Valley While the story has been revealed to an "illegal crypto mining operation" for streamer, data center is also connected to illegal crypto schemes, and the level description for data center could change to reflect that. I think initially it was going to be that you find illicit content on the streamers computer which would lead you to mindjot and so on but I think they changed it to make the crimes feel more varied and less of just "everyone being a pedophile" The reason I think this, is because it definitely wouldn't be the first time they've made major story changes to levels. Take hotel 2.0/sins of the father, the initial story was about 2 gangs having a shootout in the hotel, now it seems to involve a group of secret service/body guards of the senator that have gone rogue. (This is just me adding my own speculation and theory) I also think that the current story for the hand in hospital is a complete red herring. The reason being is that the voice lines in the files suggest that the hand want to kill whoever they're keeping in coastal grove as some form of vigilantism. With lines like "You're going to keep that psycho alive, but arrest me?" and "There is no time for court!"
If you read the descriptions for the missions the current order is Valley -> Data center -> Agency. The description for Valley clearly states that the evidence leading to the raid was gathered by the LSPD cybercrimes division, while data center and agency both state they issued the warrant from data found during each raid.
@@pickelsvx Valley: "Having taken down a distribution center for an illegal cp ring operating out of los suenos (agency), the LSPD cyber-crime team has now located the man profiting from its sales. LSPD SWAT have been sent to his home on a warrant service." And all of the suspects on agency are working on behalf of voll as his loan sharks. If he was arrested prior to the raid on agency them being there makes no sense as nobody would be actually *paying* them to collect the debt owed by brixley.
Judge was made into one of the MK Ultra soliers and had his mind completely wiped. This is why the ? by his orgins. He's meant to never know about his past life in which he may have done something to be punished for it in this way. If he learns about it this could be the key to getting him to be his normal self.
Just to toss out since I'm new to the game and lore as a whole, but, I thought the twisted nerve writings were due to it being a meth house, Christina ('Tina') is slang for meth in some places, while I thought the 'DIG' messages were from Breaking Bad where they distract the people by having one dig a hole while he was on the substance (or just the tunnel that was mentioned as you give an addict on that substance a mission they will focus for hours on doing it). As for the 'insect' note I took it as a common symptom and mental deterioration that happens to addicts where they get "ants" on them or under their skin leading to the 'meth-face' people see in heavy addicts. Again I'm new and they could go farther with that and have a whole other story lined up, just my view!
"Bodies dissolving in acid" it's either wrong expeculation or wrong on devs part if they ever implied this. Dissolving anything on acid is an exothermic reaction that generates a lot of heat and gasses, in another words, you are expanding thing and a barrel probably wouldn't hold up closed. But let's say that you welded it, and it actually held up, you probably would need to refresh the acid a bunch of times, thus doesn't make sense to not let it open in first place. I'm my opinion, they are more likely filled with concrete with the intention of one day be discarded at sea.
Nah they wouldnt be discarded at sea, they are being put under the floor. I agree concrete would be better. However conc H2SO4 + H2O2 would definitely do the job very easily.
Btw Neon Night clubs name change was do to a night club chain called Przm in the UK at least so a copyright infringement and a brand was used so hence the name change I am surprised that an actual night club was watching and possibly play Ready or Not
I think ready or not is Post- something. Not exactly post-apocalypse, but a post-ecocomic collapse or after the fall of the U.S. government with some law enforcement still operating out of duty and not much else.
yeah seeing how these aren’t really places swat would be at, and seeing how you aren’t limited in your kit selection, there’s a ton of random, EU guns you can pick from. But, i don’t think the government collapsed, LA is just really crime ridden for some reason
You saying “we’ll talk more about that later” kinda pissed me off after the first 50 times you did that… like no, we got time. Talk more about it now because I just forgot the other 49 things
4:00 "vally of the dolls" is an homage to the SWAT4 CAMPAIGN "Children of taronne" which has a similar background also with gra*es of children in the basement below the floor. Really scary if you consider the fact that the game was free to play when 16 y'o "Nightclub" has also been in swat 4 know as "the bomb" if i remember correctly.
People who’ve called Ready Or Not copaganda have clearly never played the game since they would know that at the end of a mission it tells you all the misdemeanors and actions you did.

Tbh yeah but i personally like to think he was in the Military before as a Operator in a SOF unit
The theory that he's in purgatory is very fitting for his nickname and it explains the many 'unknowns' in his profile. I've also heard a theory that Judge was put into the police and eventual SWAT team by a criminal organisation to get hidden information.
I dunno, I don't really buy that. Something I'll like to add about the copaganda allegations:
The game implies you're solving nothing in the long run because the problem in Los Sueños is caused by the crisis those at the top created, mainly poverty just like IRL.
Wtf is a copaganda
i had the same question when i first heard this term, in short it would be depicting the actions of police forces (like arresting, using physical force, killing people during action, etc), in a good light that could glamorize or justify bad actions done by some cop.
From the wiki page about it:
Langley is an unincorporated community in the census-designated place of McLean in Fairfax County, Virginia, United States. The name "Langley" often occurs as a metonym for the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), as the community is home to the CIA headquarters, the George Bush Center for Intelligence.
So Judge definitely either is or has been USIA/CIA

fun fact, USIA was a real agency that existed from 1953 to 1999.

Also x4: The entire thing with the PULSE anniversary was a complete accident. the devs said on stream they didn't even mean to announce it around then, as it was already announced a week prior for supporters.

The Magician (arrest downed suspect, find out they're faking it)
The Devil (Use the Kill Me command)
The Fool (Be killed by a civilian)
The World (Complete game in ironman mode)
The Hermit (Complete ironman mode without losing an officer)
The Hanged Man (Complete Port using only a taser, flashbangs, and bash)
There could be more meaning with these, but honestly they feel like they mean what the achievement says, rather than having any deeper meaning. I could be wrong though, who knows.

It only seems like that because of the way they use environmental storytelling for their maps.

MindJot immediately reminded me of MindGeek, which is also profiting off inhumane and illegal stuff.

8:05 Only the players decide how violent they want to be. VOID even has nonlethal options.
with the 1.0 release of this game, the eve being janey's mom theory kind of makes sense. on the carriers of the vine level, you have to arrest a suspect named Eve Nader, who left her husband and daughter and has been missing since 2011, maybe she was married to Amos, and found out about the basement and his sick affinity for their daughter, and left to join the cult for revenge? cuz as we see they target abusers, rapists, and other unsavory individuals so maybe theres something there. idk

Years ago when i was working on mods for ready or not i was testing custom level data, so i entered in a custom description for one of the levels, simply entering "i hate minorities", this wasn't intended to be seen by anyone, until i started inviting more people to work in the same modding project as me and at some point the level data i edited ended up in an openly downloadable modding preset on nexus.

It’s not rated 18+.
6:07 “The ides of march” not tides, it’s a reference to the assassination of Julius Caesar. Quite apt considering the context.
the 2 nouns mentioned around 12:07 are Al Zubahir, one of the hand's leaders.
The whole "stuck in the cycle deal" REALLY reminds me of trepang

The whole spider thing being made out of people reminds me of Alice Cooper, I remember hearing the idea of that from RazorFists recent Metal Mythos video. Apparently it was one of Alice's darkest ideas for a story album of sorts, but I think it was mentioned that some others took the same idea of the "Human Spider killer person" and put their own spin on it, I would love to say the Devs of RON probably knew about the story somehow. 36:14
Edit: OKAY SO..

And your timeline of events was wrong for valley and data center,
the timeline is:
???(Most likely streamer) -> Data Center -> Agency -> Valley
While the story has been revealed to an "illegal crypto mining operation" for streamer, data center is also connected to illegal crypto schemes, and the level description for data center could change to reflect that. I think initially it was going to be that you find illicit content on the streamers computer which would lead you to mindjot and so on but I think they changed it to make the crimes feel more varied and less of just "everyone being a pedophile"
The reason I think this, is because it definitely wouldn't be the first time they've made major story changes to levels. Take hotel 2.0/sins of the father, the initial story was about 2 gangs having a shootout in the hotel, now it seems to involve a group of secret service/body guards of the senator that have gone rogue.
(This is just me adding my own speculation and theory)
I also think that the current story for the hand in hospital is a complete red herring.
LSPD SWAT have been sent to his home on a warrant service."
And all of the suspects on agency are working on behalf of voll as his loan sharks. If he was arrested prior to the raid on agency them being there makes no sense as nobody would be actually *paying* them to collect the debt owed by brixley.
The order is correctate it's streamer->Mindjot->Brixley talent time-> voll?
Judge was made into one of the MK Ultra soliers and had his mind completely wiped. This is why the ? by his orgins. He's meant to never know about his past life in which he may have done something to be punished for it in this way. If he learns about it this could be the key to getting him to be his normal self.
neon tomb and valley of the dolls take place within three days of each other
I sure hope we get more DLC's for this game.
But, i don’t think the government collapsed, LA is
just really crime ridden for some reason
Thank you for putting the music you used in the description
Do a new video and go into the update 😂 because the storytelling just got so much better like not kidding
Somebody's DEFINITELY said this before, but I wonder if "The Insect" in Twisted Nerve is refering to The Spider
Lethal obsession was one of my favorite maps as somsone with a future medical degree and a chemistry background.
You saying “we’ll talk more about that later” kinda pissed me off after the first 50 times you did that… like no, we got time. Talk more about it now because I just forgot the other 49 things
Bruh this is the only FPS i actually enjoy, love the details and it feels like a fast paced more enjoyable arma style game.
4:00 "vally of the dolls" is an homage to the SWAT4 CAMPAIGN "Children of taronne" which has a similar background also with gra*es of children in the basement below the floor. Really scary if you consider the fact that the game was free to play when 16 y'o
"Nightclub" has also been in swat 4 know as "the bomb" if i remember correctly.
This game has you trapping innocent civilians in a building with criminals - a felonious offense
People who’ve called Ready Or Not copaganda have clearly never played the game since they would know that at the end of a mission it tells you all the misdemeanors and actions you did.
bro missed "brendon79"
only real ogs remember brendon 💀
The Cycle? oh boy can't wait for Payday's timeline to get a tie-in ;P
Kotaku of course would call Ready or Not a school shooter game. Their ignorance has no bounds.
This video is a masterpiece
It’s “IDES” of march, not “tides” of march. The name is a reference to the fall of Julius Caesar and the Republic of Rome
Great video! I think the Need Christina isn't referencing a woman, but rater crysal meth, wich Christina is a slang for, as far as I know
this needs to be updated soon id love to hear what he has to say about the cult with eve nader and elain raskin
23:45 If one follows the interconnecting structure of RoN's lore mayby "Eve" referes to "Eve Nader" in " carriers of the Vine". Probably a random thought but it came to mind
