    *Mircea Piernaru:*
    Have an AoE skill
    Reload your weapon between fights
    Stick to one damage type
    Use cover (Fire from cover reducing incoming damage, and increases damage output)
    Kite (move away, run) Elites to force them to engage at a place of your choosing
    Using the boltgun (not heavy bolter) install the psalm doctrine that adds projectiles. It really transforms the 2nd ability into a wide ranged AoE attack that also shotguns. Good for both hordes and elite targets!

    My tip? Play a heavy gunner crusader and just use the heavy flamer, look for one that has -% to overheat. Heavy flamer is imo hands down the best weapon in the game I've come across (to the point of almost feeling like it's broken, it's got sniper levels of range and HUGE AoE), it tears through enemy suppression like tissue paper and combined with %chance to fear causes even the mightiest of foes to run at the mere sight of you. You can build a heavily specialized AoE crusader and just run through missions spraying walls of fuego in front of you. Even on missions with enemies that have high heat resist, you still melt faces like butter.

    • @TalonGaming_YT
      @TalonGaming_YT  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You're right on this one!! The heavy flamer can really take advantage of the AOI mechanics and skill tree to make the game become a walk in the park. Great tips!! Thanks for sharing!

      Have your second weapon an Evisorator. What you can't burn , you can shred! Use the armor reducing psalm code.

      @@jhhuntster I've done a bit of that myself! It's great fun! I do tend to use the shield and one-handed sword as my setup allows me to reflect/deflect most of the incoming damage back. Great tip!! Thanks for sharing!

      Wait until you use a Psyker character and go all in on the extermination skill in the pyromancy category. It's like your flamer build but on crack. When you get to the point where you heal instead of take damage in "unhinged state" then you can just wipe +10 level missions solo.

    Auto-loot may seem like a minor quality of life improvement, but for me it was a real game changer, as it saves time and makes the gameplay a lot more fluid. (This was a very good video, btw; short, concise and with tips that actually help!)

    Good video, but please add the following: have an AoE skill, reload ammo between packs, stick to one type of damage, don't forget cover and kite elites to force them to engage you in the area of your choosing. It's a good game that makes you use your head (not just your reaction time), and a good way to expand the WH 40K lore. Have fun!

    Just picked up this game I'm loving it. I only played the first few missions so far didn't even unlock the shop yet lol. It's easily the best action rpg game I have played since Diablo 2. Using laser guns is awesome. They don't overwhelm you with useless loot. I feel very powerful. And there's multiple skill trees but they unlock through progression so it's not overwhelming and complicated like Path of Exile. They have the what I assume are scripted linear campaign missions. And then the what I hope are randomly generated repeatable side missions where you grind for more experience and loot. And from what I read a lot of in-game content carries over between different characters so it's less of a grind fest when creating a new character.

    • @TalonGaming_YT
      @TalonGaming_YT  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Awesome!!!!! Glad to hear that you took the plunge, it's a hell of alot of fun! Just make sure to filter out the garbage loot if you're getting too much to avoid filling up your storage, otherwise sell it all! The Campaign is fairly linear, you're right but like you said you can pretty much do as you please. They do add in alot of extra similar style content, weekly/daily challenges and such for free as well.
      I should mention, a new character class (I believe it's DLC) is coming in the new year! It's great to see a game keep being supported with new content even years later.
      Perks do carry over to new characters, and it does make a huge difference in how you progress through the game.
      Thanks for watching!!

      @@TalonGaming_YT yes I remember early reception was mixed and people didn't like the game. Glad to see they continued working on the game over the years. And thanks for the autoloot tip. It was getting annoying manually picking up all the loot. I already did some of the extra missions and already passed the recommended levels for the story missions. Leveling up doesn't seem slow at all. The dungeons are pretty small and compact, it's straight to the action. No wandering around looking for next group of enemies like in other action RPGs. I went straight for the tech adept because I like summoner gameplay. They let you customize your summons weapons that's awesome.

      I found playing as the summoner class, you really get quite a few in comparison with the crusader class. I was able to max out a few with the crusader class after 70-80 levels. I felt like I got them much quicker my second time around as the summoner. Perhaps it was because I was using XP bonuses though.

    I know this is over 2 years old but, heres to hoping:
    Im playing assassin. My loadout is 2 one handed high single target dps, and 2 one handed aoe weapons. Ive set my bindings to just the one dodge to wherever my mouse is but i want to get rid of the need for the mouse altogether and use multi-directional dodge inputs. So i bind my keys (movement) WASD and for dodging SHIFT WASD.... and the dodging doesnt work. Is it just a bug or is there something im doing wrong?

    • @TalonGaming_YT
      @TalonGaming_YT  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's been a while, I'm not sure how that's supposed to work. I wonder if instead you used the arrow keys with your right hand for dodging and bind some surround keys for extras. I honestly can't remember what the binding options were.
      Shift should work though, if you're not using the dodge to cursor option.
      Sorry, it's been a while since I've dipped my toes in this one.

      @TalonGaming_YT  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would sell everything you're not keeping if you have the room in your inventory rather than scrapping outright. Once you're out of space, junk the equipment that's of no value. After a certain point in the game you can start melting down named equipment and recovering items for crafting purposes.
      I'm glad you enjoyed the video! I'll be putting out some content for the Prophecy DLC at some point in the next few weeks/months. Probably a short review, and perhaps one with a bit more depth. This video, for the most part still applies to that DLC as well.

    Hey man, for some reason I can't figure this out no matter where I look... the damage number shown on weapons, what does that mean? from what it looks like the actual damage values on the weapon skills are the same regardless of this damage number, not sure what it's purpose is

    • @TalonGaming_YT
      @TalonGaming_YT  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe the number in the item information is the base damage. The actual damage output is offset by skills, bonuses and other offsets.

    • @frikky99
      @frikky99 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TalonGaming_YT Ok maybe I just dont understand what base damage means... so for example in your video at the 0:26 timestamp it says 178 damage for the plasma gun. In my game, if I have another plasma gun with lets say 130 damage, they appear to have the same damage values when I read the numbers looking at the tooltips for the individual skills, just trying to figure out what the point of base damage is if the damage the skills do are the same. Thanks for answering!!!

      @@frikky99 I'm not 100% on what you mean, but let's say that a certain size gun and bullet does 100 damage, we'll call it your base damage. Your skills will increase the damage output. Different guns and bullets, different base damage. A gun with a higher attribute will do more damage.
      Hope that helps!

      I've seen some other complaints (mostly older) about this, and overall clunkiness. How are you playing? Are you using click to move, or the keyboard? I found using the keyboard to actually move, and the mouse to aim worked best for me. I haven't played recently, but I do remember having to drag my mouse around the mousepad alot, although to be fair, it's a small mouse pad. Many people report that using a gamepad is actually the best for this particular game. If you have one, it might be worth a shot as well. Hopefully something helps improve your gameplay!! Enjoy!

      @@TalonGaming_YT I tried to play the game on GeForceNOW with keyboard movement, and struggled a lot with aiming with my cursor because it was THAT slow. Normally the issue would be fixed by changing the settings on my mouse itself, but GeForce won't let you do that. How come this game doesn't have a mouse sensitivity slider??? Out of all the games that ever existed, why doesn't this one NOT have one?
      I ended up requesting a refund for the game on steam. If the game is ever updated to have a sensitivity setting I'd repurchase the game in a heartbeat.

      @@SCP-yu1ex That's unfortunate. At least you were able to get a refund.
      I don't use GeForce now, so I'm not sure how that effects things... What I do know, is that this game can really hog your CPU up... and limited it to a lesser number of cores can actually speed up the game dramatically, which feels counter-intuitive.
      Hopefully some of these core issues can eventually be resolved, but seeing that the game is now over 5-years old I wouldn't hold my breath, even though they're still actively creating content for it.
