Once you got this song down, it was one of the FUNNEST charts to do! The music helps of course! The beginning is sometimes on the beat, sometimes on the off-beat; it follows the rhythm of the base-line but every second bar there's an extra step... then it's jumps on the off-beats of the "hup hup hup hup!" that always makes me feel like I'm jumping up-and-down alternately with the singer, like on a trampoline or something. Then following the plucking-instrument (banjo?) that leads up to the galloping part with the drums is really great, I like the songs that have galloping steps. The only part that feels weak to me in the chart is the "vocal solo" part 2/3rds in; I enjoy that part of the song aurally, but the steps are awkward and confused. Everything up to this point, I am completely immersed in the song and the steps, I'm totally in-sync with them both, but then we get here and the steps "break the spell" as it were. It's kind of jarring, I don't like it. Then it's the stream of non-stop steps after that which is fun, but the part before it is so bad that it kind of poisons it and ends kinda meh.
For the vocal solo I love how the lower difficulties would just do a jump at the beginning, one or two steps in the middle, then pick right up with the track. That's probably underwhelming for a boss song though.
This remix and the original are based on a Okinawan folk song, a region of Japan. This remix is about how as modern civilization expands, it will take over and destroy the Okinawan culture that this song is based on. Hence the chaotic sound of this remix, “leacher” being repeated, and then the banjo being destroyed and burned at the end. A dark U1/2MB classic boss song!

ORION.79 (cilvilaztion mix):
Arcade: DDRMAX
CS: DDR 4thMix
The first DDR's were really hard and they didnt have the speed command like now.
I just completed this song tonight at the arcade and scored a C... Fun song, challenging chart, very tiring... worth practicing on though!
Most of the 4th "boss songs" are 6 on basic. This song is just frightening on any difficulty, really.
When I was young, I could only beat this song on basic. :s
Almost 400 combo!!
アメユロは仮の姿 PARANOiA感を入れるに当たって今作のパラ扱いの曲っぽい
実際は78の都市発展の裏切り系曲
One of the only 9-footers I doubt I'll ever PFC.
Trust me, I was pissed out of my mind trying to PFC this on MAX USA but eventually I got it and you will too ^_^
Ethan Lawson You ever PFC'ed Burning Heat? That's one I can't get either.
Oh, Burning Heat!(3 Option Mix) was a living nightmare, but I managed to PFC that one... Never playing that piece of crap ever again XP
Ethan Lawson I mean, last night I got my first ever 17 (POSSESSiON Expert, DDR X2) but I still can't get Burning Heat or Orion.78.
Those GREEN arrows are really annoying LOL
Whew! Toughie.
WTF 6 on Basic? THATS INSANE!
The first DDR's were really hard and they didnt have the speed command like now.
Paranoia Evolution was 6 on Basic too
I wonder what this song means. Anyone know?
