It's normal to feel a bit homesick, Japan can be a lonely society but your living your dream. I hope you find happiness and fulfilment. You're a good person that clearly cares a lot about your family and pets. I hope the drastically different lifestyle in Japan doesn't drag you down, there's many nice aspects there also. It will take some time to adjust. It's a marathon not a race.
Aww Amy! These things are certainly hard to experience, it's normal to be upset even at the little things (no need to apologise for it), especially considering you're far away from home! I do hope that out of quarantine onwards would be a bit smoother, albeit it will be hard to adjust still. Sending love, prayer, and hugs xx I hope as well that borders will open by next year so your family can visit you and/or vice versa.
