Im waiting for my interview results. I was getting nervous since they seem to be taking so long but its reassuring to hear your response only came in may lol. Thanks
I like the way you present yourself on the camera. You’re jolly and an easy-going person I believe. That’s why JET chose you. I hope I will be chosen also soon haha.
Thank you so much for the kind words! 😄 I’m a current ALT from 2021, so I’m sharing my experience from last year’s interview ☺️ Good luck to you if you’re having an interview soon!!
@@amyinjapan quick update lol had the interview, went pretty well i think! (though the more i overthink it, the less confident i feel lol). Now comes the part of nervously checking my emails every day haha I applied for early entry (april-july ish) so I'm expecting the results in march 😎
@@gyropp Not long now!! I’m sure you did really great 😄 Try not to overthink it too much or you’ll drive yourself crazy haha I’ll have my fingers and toes crossed for you ☺️ Good luck!
Thanks for sharing your interview experience. It was good to hear from someone from around Perth. I just had my interview and your tips were helpful :)
Thanks so much for going so in-depth !!! I'm in Melbourne and have my interview on the 1st and am lowkey shitting myself but your video was super informative and helpful :)))
I had the future plans question also on my interview two days ago but with intending to do a PhD! Although I'm sure I didn't come off as eloquently as you did lol. Glad I watched this video before I did my interview.
Oh wow! A PhD is very impressive indeed! I’m sure you spoke very well and I bet the interviewers were pleased with your responses ☺️ I’m very happy you found my video helpful! Thank you 😄 Now you can just relax and hope for positive results! Good luck!!
@@amyinjapan thank you so much!!!! I’m nervous about so many things. Today I was nervous about my outfit lmao, I come from a working class background so I’ve never owned a suit, thinking about wearing a blazer, shirt and tie, and grey pants for my zoom interview. Hoping that works okay
@@dremolar4627 it’s definitely normal to be nervous and the panel know that too! You will be fine, please don’t worry ☺️ And that sounds great!! I bet you’ll do amazing and feel confident in a nice suit, even if you’re not used to wearing one! I’m definitely more comfortable in casual clothes and rarely wear dresses, so it was a big deal for me too! 🙏🏻 頑張ろう!
Hi there Amy! I have a question for you it's related to the interviews, I know that Japan have a low view on tattoos so dose it matter or dose it go against you if have facial piercings and tattoos? I think I know the answer but I would like a bit more insight. 😊😊
Good question!! After writing out my answers to some possible questions, I read my answers a few times each night a week or so before my interview ☺️ I made sure to read my answers aloud so I could memorise it quicker!
i dont know what to say for america though for what 3 things would you bring...like...wth is uniquely american? everything i own was made in china lol.
Haha I’m sure anything you think is ordinary may be something new for Japan! Depending what state you live, you could bring some kind of special food, local handmade art, a sporting item (baseball, basketball, etc.), something from Hollywood, something Disney, etc. I know many Japanese people love Disney! And that is definitely American 😉 Also, just be careful about the wording of the question. If the interviewer asks “what would you bring that represents America?” Try not to respond with “the 3 things I’d bring are…” because they didn’t ask for 3 things specifically 😄 just be vague and say “I’d bring this, this and this”, if that makes sense! Good luck!! 🙏🏻🙇♀️
Talking about the actual interview: 10:22 sorry for the rambling!! Haha
