Hi Lee, as a few have suggested the sensor for the flowmeters needs to be in the main water flow to work and as it is currently installed in 2 inch pipe work it will not extend long enough to get to the centre of the 4 inch pipe and therefore it will not work. It might be possible to get different sensor elements that are longer and install them into the existing instrument head with the display on it. Your pond is really coming on, can’t wait to see it filled and fully stocked!
Hi matey As others have already said…… - 4” to 2” will restrict the flow - these flow meters are made for specific pipe diameters i believe. So even a 4” tee with one 2” branch on the top wont work as the position of the paddle within the pipe needs to be correct. Double check with Darren Gray at absolute but i know the analogue units work like that. - check with Darren again for any spare parts for the profi drums. You may get the right size grommets at screwfix etc.
If you drill for your flue where you said, you will hit the lintel for the window. If it's a catnic style you won't be able to core drill through it as it's metal. If it's a concrete lintel and you core drill through it it won't be very structural anymore. It's a small window so probably won't hurt but worth thinking about. Looking good now. Thanks for sharing.
Looking excellent just 2 things can you get at the pump in bio chamber to remove if a problem and the air stone nearest the pond looks as if it's under your grate just thinking your pump might suck up air bubbles which would not be good for the pump, can't wait to see it completed
Hi Lee, all looking amazing as usual mate…👍🏼 My main concern with fitting those flow meters, is that the fact they are within the 2 inch pipe work, it will be those very flow meters that will be reducing the flow. Unless I am missing something else, like they reduce down to 2 inch to go in the drum anyway ?? I wouldn’t see the point in that tho…..🤔. Best flow, and the whole point of a 4 inch bottom drain feed to filter, is that it remains 4 inch right in to the filter IMO. 🤔👍🏼 Sorry if I’m missing another point.
I’ve got 2 Digi water meters similar to your I’ll be using them on my bakki shower to see the flow, I brought them from absolute koi you can try there for the parts your looking for, for the pipe that you are cutting where the wires are coming out from the bio chamber put a end cap on it to have a perfect clean finish, looking spot on bro 👍🏻
Those flow meters are great mate. Darren from absolute is where i got mine. Very useful to understand how much flow is going where. Lee have tried getting hose round those bends. I've tried. Mine wouldn't
Hi Lee, great work, really enjoying the build, am I right in thinking you are going to feed your water supply through the black pipe? If so no chance mate as it will not flex enough to get past the 90 bend.🤔
Speak to Darren at absolute koi mate he sells the flow meters, I think the pump will suck air in out of the bio chamber as I had a similar problem, ponds coming on 👍
Lee those holes are what you call here in the USA knock outs for the wiring. You will have to make your own covers for them or go to B&Q to see if they have any
Fella looking good, I may have misunderstood- but if you go from 4" to 2" inch on you infeeds you will massively restrict your flow, i would put the meters on the returns mate not the infeeds🤔 anyway looking awesome mate cant wait to see it filled 👍
@@leehadfield6881 looking forward to it, as I bet you are! I think a Yaz, wolf & the legend nicky pool party is in order before you move the merchandise over! 😂🤘🏻
@@leehadfield6881 it really is looking awesome though mate I hope it all works as flawlessly as you want it to you came up with some awesome ideas with this build especially with the air 👍
I wish I could clear my rubbish as quick as your video lol. Have you got enough of that perforated ss sheet left to cover your door as that may look good
just cut of the old pipe from the T's gently heat with hot gun, and peel out the old pipe reuse the old T's you can always try using any old pipe work you have laying around first, i often reuse used fixings its very easy once you done it once or twice takes very little heating to soften the tube
Nice work Lee! Cracking job and loving the work. What a sense of achievement when it’s all your own hard graft👍 Just one question on the pump in your bio chamber. Have you supported it against the wall or is it just held by the pipe work above? Just wondering about vibrations over time. 🤔
I would put something solid on the 45 degree bottom of the bio otherwise air will go into the pump and also trap K1 against the heating pipe that forms a lip. Why use the flow meters and reduce the flow to 2” or am I missing something……..looking good though
Well that’s the cat out of the bag , thought his fish were known as secret sanke for a reason , I’ve had one for a couple of years , not sure about the flow meters the way your thinking, because the flow meter paddle/sensor needs to be in the water flow and a 4 inch t may hold them to far from the main flow , I’ve come to the conclusion that you have a stainless steel fetish 😂😂
The box with the sockets are blue and they are 2 pin plug socket what they are called I don’t no Darren at absolute koi maybe able to supply you some I can take a photo later on and send it you on Facebook I will open the box so you can see from the inside 👍🏻
Lee 🎏 🫡 As always loving the progression and unsure about flow meters unless you get 4 inch T and then use reducer in T section for flow meters and for profi box I’d use those rubber towel holders used in kitchen’s 😅 That’s if you can’t get those electrical collars 👍🏻
Bottom waste - kitchen
Top white - boiler condensate
Lower copper run - PRV
top copper run - cold water to outside tap
👍
Liking the progress

Thanks Gary 🤘
Hi Lee, think about air being sucked into your pump on the Bio chamber, as will cause problems 👍🏻 love watching the progress 😁
Absolutely!!!!! I’m putting jap matting on the stainless steel grid! So that will sort it out!!!!
