I've felt its both for me - the struggle and the challenge. I don't "think" that labeling it a struggle has been an additional negative/Obstacle for me... But maybe it actually has impacted me

Yes - in this video I'm not so much separating struggle from challenge (although that certainly *is* a semantic distinction to be made and for some people, no doubt, a powerful mindset shift) but the difference between "I'm struggling (...what's wrong with me)?" and "oh, this is a thing a lot of people struggle with (...and it's normal)". For me, it's been about recognising that what I'm doing is actually just... challenging, rather than spending so much time imagining how I'm not made for it, what that means for me, or imagining everyone else just automatically understanding it!

Thank you. What is the word you refer to at 3:33? The subtitles give it as “intrical.” I looked up intrical and that points me to the word integral. But integral doesn't seem to make sense in this context. Can you help out this native English speaker?

"so that when I'm just feeling that really crawly, foggy, uncomfortable feeling of being **in treacle**..." I just meant that feeling of being stuck and finding it very hard to move. Also, thank you so much for your comment! What are you working on at the moment? :)

@@thelangconprojectpodcast Now I understand. Treacle is a word I've never heard before. Regarding what I'm working on, I have an intermediate level of French, German and Italian, and I'm starting to read BBC Mundo articles in Spanish. But what I use your confidence building videos for is another area where I am in treacle.

@@AndyLucas_Studio Yeah, I've just looked it up and some other suggested terms for it are molasses/dark caramel/burnt sugar! I didn't realise "treacle" wasn't a universal term! Separately, I am so, so glad that these videos are helping you in and outside your language learning! Very soon, I'm launching a new podcast, and I wonder if it might be even more helpful for you!
