I am a Scotsman but I am allergic to the sound of the bagpipes ,every time I hear the drones hum and the chanter play my eyes start watering and will not stop until the Pipes stop.
Allergic? I remember a dinner in Edinburgh. When 2:16 a piper (if that’s the word) came in, full blast, the guy sitting next to me, from Thurso, crouched and said: the pipes, I hate the pipes 😂

My mothers family came from Germany, so I grew up thinking we were mostly German.I didn't know my fathers family at all, as my parents divorced when I was a baby. In doing genealogy, I discovered my fathers side of the family came from Scotland, and include the Stewarts, and Robert de Bruce, whom the Scottish revere as saving their country, plus Walker's and Truly's.
