Love, love , love you Shimmy. Woke up this morning thinking about going more sustainable and what are Teemill like and boom, there you are again! Are you reading my mail 🤣 This was super helpful, thank you! Also Yes, I know "The Good, The Bad and the Ugly" Classic and old , like me 🤭
Hi Shimmy. Thank you for all your valuable content. Please do a review on Contrado. I know they dont do POD integration anymore but they still do the POD elements of the process i.e. no minimum quantity, own branded labels, fast shipping, all over print for most of their products. Thank you in advance
I find the website to be somewhat confusing, but I did notice that they sell something called jumpers. From what I know of British terminology, a jumper is what we in the US call sweaters, while Brits call sweatshirts, sweaters. Do I have that correct? I don't know of another POD company that offers sweaters. That and sustainability might be good reasons to use the company, I otherwise go along with Teemill being a pass. Oh, and there's also the possible problem with shipping to the US, including tariffs.
Another helpful review! Thank you! - I was interested in them, but for the same reasons am having unnecessary troubles; why on earth would they not simply list the prices (including alternate currencies)? Haha? Or any other info. like fabric weight, sizing measurements of the garments and printable dimensions, fit descriptions (regular, relaxed, etc.), product and color codes, stitching descriptions, etc.??? Haha! 😆 I also would prefer to not have their label and instead print ours inside the neck area. I truly hope they update their site and offer more versatility... and then if they slightly improve durability, and offer a U.S. warehouse, they would absolutely become industry leaders. - Also, they offer circular stickers but not square. 🤔 Great to know about. I hope they listen to feedback. 🌊🙌🏼
Thanks for this Shimmy! I am based in the UK and, although I have an Etsy mug shop with which I use Gelato, I have set up a t-shirt shop using Printify (because of all the rave reviews) and am selling in the US and also worldwide. The trouble with this is the shipping costs and sustainability aspect. Ideally, I would like to sell to the US and the UK. Should I use Gelato for everything do you think or should I stick with Printify and duplicate my listings and have one selling to US only and one to UK only. I'm getting myself a bit confused here and hope you can help!
Hey, so what I do is, i have all my US listings on my store. But I sell to both the UK and the US. When an order comes in i've set a delay of 24 hours before it's fulfilled. That way I can see their location and if they're in the UK, I can edit their order and change the fulfilment company so it's being printed locally.
Hi again@@shimmymorris1 so I was going to try and bulk edit my 350 listings from Printify to Gelato but even with Gelato's spreadsheet this is going to take forever. I think I will leave them with Printify and do what you do but I'm just confused about how to set my shipping costs and how do I make sure that Printify doesn't print an item with which I want to use Gelato?
Here are some other things that bothered me. They did not provide color codes, only names like rust. I like to know more about the specific color so I can use colors in the design that are compatible. I was also unclear of what dimensions to use when uploading designs. No information was provided. I tested using a design I used for Printful, but it did not seem to have much clarity on their product. Third, I could not find sizing dimensions for products. I noticed you had a small, but was this according to sizing dimensions they provided? I searched and searched for size information and found nothing.
Because of the overall view of "sustainability" in the market place they have to make up for costs ie. having to buy the PRO plan to get basic features. Similar to eating healthy being expensive although their is constant talk of it's importance.
Which Printify shirt did you compare (you mention at around 11 minutes)? Printify offers so many shirts that is more useful if you say the specific shirt and print provider used for your Printify eval. Asking because I'm waiting for a sample Econscious shirt but am also looking at 100% cotton Gildan, Bella+Canvas, and Hanes shirts.
great video! thanks for sharing! can you make a review of another sustainable POD company NovaTomato? it's founded by french in HK, small but very quality offer and with a strong focus on sustainability
Shimmy, for a specific project, I need a pod supplier that features US-made t-shirts, printed in the US and mailable ONLY to US buyers at US addresses. Any thoughts? (ONLY shirts sold/given.)
@@shimmymorris1 thank you. I saw that answer on another reply. Is this because Printify suppliers can be chosen according to my wishes? What happens when an individual supplier gets more orders than they can handle? Does Printify automatically send my orders to another supplier? (This is important, as we are thinking about gifting out a million+ T-shirts in a one month timeframe. Maybe no one will take us up on it, but maybe one million will!)
ohhh, i run my business 99% in the US. if someone buys in the UK, i deal with it as it comes.I have an accountant that handles the complicated stuff for me :D @@wolfwolf7498
The Good , The Bad & The Ugly…. A classic Western starring some of the Greatest Actors of all time Clint Eastwood , Eli Walsh and Lee van Cleef . They don’t make Movies / Actors like these anymore
This is a unique and wonderful work. And I am getting to learn a lot from this. So I have a request from you. That Indian people also watch your videos. And like. And some of them are like that. Those who cannot understand English and want to watch your videos in Hindi language. So that they can understand your language in Hindi, hence you should use audio track in each of your videos. TH-cam has already made this facility available. Whichever country he belongs to. Gives it dubbed through his country. So this is what I have to say to you. that you also use it Because in this you will also benefit and the subscribers will also benefit and with this your TH-cam channel will start growing and you will move ahead in this field. All The Best "Shimmy" 👍
@@shimmymorris1 Very good, I will share your video with my friends who are already in this field. I will share your videos with them, this will give growth to your videos and make me happy. Design and product restriction are ridiculous on the basic plan, its kind of as good as useless unfortunately. Would be selling via my own online store so little or no cost to them. Shame because they look promising.
Teemill went out of their way to make it HARD to do business with them. They still have A LOT to learn. Let's return in 2 years and see if they get it.
how ironic.... why the intensity of making the world sustainable while actually putting a price to just paper 5 times more expensive than plastic... uhfff! rubbish
Very interesting, thanks. Another UK company I’d like to see you review is Contrado. All the best from the French Alps, Colin.
I'll look into them!

how does customs clearance work with pod?
the item values are usually quite low so it doesn't raise any issues or extra charges

do you ship internationally? do you think its better to avoid it because you will need to keep track of all tax regulations?
