I can't say this song would have been received a whole lot better with the vocals actually mixed into the song like this and not dropped onto the instrumental like a turd into a punch bowl, but damned if it doesn't sound a lot better than the version they released initially.
Nah, I actually just re installed the game without updates. Apparently the day one update patches new Subhuman into the game, while the base game contains the old version. I'll see what I can do about creating a video with the full game edit of the original. If I do, I'll send you a link.

It's not even that the music, or rather the vocals are that bad, but they don't quite fit Dante, especially when you come from bangers like Suffer and Devils Never Cry. It sets a precedent and attaches a certain style to the character. In a way, it's el Donte all over again, in which it would be absolutely awesome if it wasn't tied to DMC, or in this case, Dante
i dont know what you people are talking about, im in metal over 20 years and i love this version, yes it lacks the rhaspy voice but its so much cleaner and powerfull
This!.... I thought why people hated it. This is the same Subhuman I heard in the trailer. Now listening to it, doesn't give me some the same vibe as the final release song does, with its bold and big growl compared to this. I don't hate it but the final is more head banging and just suits it. I was just terrified if the man who growled is okay or not, or if that growl was doctored using computer. That growl is powerful in its own way but too terrifying, I don't want that part while I'm fighting demons or I'll get distracted, haha.
Thanks man. My theory is that old Subhuman was always properly mixed, but that they must've fucked up with audio mixing while uploading the video? Who knows. That and the game edit versions of each battle theme seems to have the vocals reduced. Anyways, thanks for the kind words man.
@@mikelramirez9003 I agree w/ your theory, I think it was just the music video that had the worst mix which made eddie's vocals stand out than the instrumentals, I tried comparing this from the old tgs dante build which has the game edit old subhuman played by some japanese channels and it's exactly the same. Honestly, i like the old better than the new -________- .... The way he says the "I cannot erupt/I must control" parts(during the chorus) in the old version is hype af....... These corresponding parts in new version, not as exciting....

This actually sounds like someone losing control, the remake is just growling. But neither fit the game. This is more fitting for a 3 Vergil edge.
