900. Congratulations and thank you for sharing your life. All true with ebikes. My Darlin' is usually waiting for me at the gate when I suggest a coffee ride since her ebike.
Hiya Daisy - I just went for my first ebike gravel ride last week and made a vlog about it too. Super fun ride, hope you continue enjoying yours. The cookies look so amazing, I am salivating! Sending love from Japan!
I agree with you Daisy about E-bikes giving people like yourself motivation to be out riding. There are quite a few people against them but I am all for them if it gets people out riding and exercising that may not have. Great video guys. 2 Thumbs up!!
Glad Daisy’s enjoying her e-bike... in the end whatever can help motivate someone to ride and have fun is all good... cheers 🍻 on the 900th video!! The emoji beer toast will have to do for now... lol
My wife got n Specialized Levo electric bike and its great for both of us, just like you and Daisy. It means that I have a pacing person on flat sections. It’s great.
Loving the videos. Always good part of the day when that notification pops up! As you have probably guessed would love to see your workflow for making videos. Coming up with the story for the day etc.
My wife picked up a Specialized Creo, same idea as the Wilier, 250W motor, 250 W-hours. The Fazua motors are not approved in North America, so the Creo is really the only game in town. She likes it and like Daisy uses very little assist. I love it ;-), and I have never ridden it.
Been following for a really long time from the USA! Love the content and how it has evolved over time. Congrats on 900 and thanks for letting us be apart of your journey. Can’t wait for video 1k
My mum got an e-bike, she loves it, for the first time since I was 13 we can ride together. She recently had a bad knee injury but with the e-bike just as daisy said she feels more motivated to ride. Congrats on 900th videos.
I started with an e-bike that I bought for commuting. It is a folding bike with 20 inch wheels. A great little machine that I can fold up and park out of the way when I don't use it. I now have a gravel bike (700x40c) and a mountain bike (29x2.2) and ride all of them as often as I can, but I tend to choose the gravel bike most of the time.
Congrats on 900! Discovered your channel during lock down and have been binge watching ever since. I've seen everything in the last year so far lol. Keep up the great work!
Good video, great hearing daisy's view on the stresses of a new rider and keeping up with friends who are faster. Hopefully no matter what some people think of E bikes it going to bring more people into cycling which always a good thing.
We brought an e-bike for my wife(late 60's yo) to assist her when we went cycling. Then I (early 70s) had to by one to ensure I didn't get left behind on the hills. Thanks for your videos and hope you make it back to Australia some day.
With you on lockdown and feeling lethargic. WOW 900. I have literally watched hundreds of your videos and the anticipation of the next one dropping has never lessened. Can’t wait for you to make the 1000! What an amazing journey if you think of all the different content! Really enjoy the lockdown content and thank you for making. It really helps us get through this weird time. Hope you and daisy stay safe. ✌️
900 episodes, well done and keep up the great content. Thanks for the review of Daisy’s bike, thinking of doing something similar for my better half. Plus I can have a tow all the way to the coffee and cake stop (when this all blows over)
I have just calculated that, having started watching your videos when you filmed the TransContinental, having gone back and watched your earlier ones, having followed you through India and Thailand and the 107 and everything since then, I have spent almost a week of my life watching your vlog. This either says a lot about your content and professionalism or not very much about my life. Congratulations on 900 and thank you.
Congrats on 900! The e-bike sounds like a great bridge to level the fitness deficit between riders who want to ride together but are of different fitness levels
Like the non-prejudiced views that you express about the e-bike. I have heard many 'cyclists' get really nasty about the fact that someone was using one. It was also good to see from all your rides that it has not been giving Daisy too easy a time of it, she is clearly having to work which was my experience when trying one many years ago. The fact that you get a boost makes you work harder. The one down side is the price of her bike!
Well done Francis and Daisy. I totally sympathise with Daisy - I feel so frustrated as an inexperienced rider that loads of cyclists pass me and I am making no progress. The frustration of struggling all the time. If only I had enough money for en e-bike! Keep up the good work you two
Great video. I'm trying to convince my wife to get e-bike. She has had both knees replaced about 20yrs ago, so she can't do a lot of pedaling. I'm glad to see Daisy is enjoying her bike. Also, I'd like to order those cookies she baked. 😊
Great content again Francis. I must say that the ebike naysayers that just winge about it "being cheating" don't really understand the issues at all. Its not cheating - its more like the role of a handicapper in horse racing. Levels the paying field and gives everyone a go...
I have my road bike and my mountain/hybrid commuter as well. My next bike will be an e-bike. I have been educating myself and watching the technology develop for the last couple of years. I want to use it as my main source of transportation, without getting too crazy with bad weather. I think they are such a sound option to a car for most urban, suburban and rural commutes. Battery and motor technology are advancing very rapidly, as well as control and feedback systems. I really like the belt drives with the Enviolo rear hub. Prices are also sliding downward.
I have a cube Acid E-mountain bike that I have put a rack and panniers on for a bit of exploring and it’s he best money I’ve ever spent! I absolutely love it! I try to just use the assistance when I really need it. I live on the Isle of Man 🇮🇲 and t here are ALOT of hills here so it does come in handy. It has improved my fitness and been great for the mind to! Every time I get on it I have a big smile on my face! I’d recommend them to anyone!
great vid, and good to see you guys giving a great use case for e bikes in terms of training! its good motivation for her, and you as well by the looks of it.
I was very interested in the review of Daisy's e-bike! I think a lot more people might get one after seeing the video. I think when the lockdown is no longer in place, you should go to different cities and ride around them.
Since I got an ebike I have cycled further, longer and higher. Dropped some weight and improved my bike fitness so much that I now rarely use the motor but having the Wilier Cento 1 Hybrid gives me a super quality road bike ride anyway with not much bike weight disadvantage. BTW the 105 version is flat bar for anyone who maybe can't do drops.
Good eBike review. They do get people out riding further or faster than they otherwise would, and for me that's a good thing. But a few years ago I was one of the doubters ... I was riding on the outskirts of Melbourne toward Mt Dandenong. About 5 km from the start of the climb I glimpsed two women-of-a-certain-age, maybe 500 m ahead. After another km, I had only gained 150 m. Wow, these riders were really motoring. When I finally caught up I discovered that they really were motoring, on eBikes! Until then I had always thought eBikes were a cop-out, but these two 70ish women explained the freedom it gave them. They raved about how they are encouraged to pedal more and extend their capabilities. The more cyclists the better.
Thank you so much for producing the volume of content that you do. In these weird times a frequent dose of your content, be it outdoor cycling, zwifting or some awesome guitar chords can make someones day 😉
Not seen any e-bike marketing suggesting that its a good option for a less fit, or currently non-cycling, partner but I should think that this is a pretty big market. Maybe a bit difficult to articulate without coming on as patronising - but nonetheless it is a great thing in this context as you have demonstrated. Good vibes to you both.
I've found that now I am in week 7 of working from home that I have stiffened up with the lack of moving about. I am generally quite non flexible but WFH has made it a lot worse. I have had to come up with a wee 15 minute stretching program to do each day. Pretty sure my hamstrings tightening up more than usual has caused my left knee injury that has kept me off the bike the last couple of weeks. Hopefully when I test it out later today the stretching will have sorted that out!
Good luck! I am in the same boat, somewhat. This is my third week of 12 hour shifts and I really am missing my bike rides. Stretching is always a good idea!
Daisy must get alot of back aches with that setup, and I'm not talking about the bike 🤣 Always enjoy your videos, no BS like many other vloggers who talk so much shit to try impress. Cade, keeping it real 👌🏻
250 W/h running a 250 W constantly power, in the most simple form would last an hour. Lowest setting is much longer! 500 W/h battery would equal 2 hours at 250W etc. It's not completely true to scale, it would depend on other factors like resitance in the system, motor efficiency, temperature etc. Brands like bosch were giving around 80km mean average range (other brands are similar), but again that depends on terrain, your torque etc. This info may be a bit out of date, so please correct me if I'm wrong, it's been a while
250 W, 250 Wh basically means it'd be able to do the full assist amount for 1 hour, nothing more special than that :-) Though there's probably some inefficiencies involved, so a bit less in reality.
As someone who ride Zwift full-time, I'd love to hear your review of riding on Zwift - overall thoughts, how it could be improved, etc. Thanks, Francis - congratulations on your 900th video! Cheers!
Thanks Cade, appreciate the content. Didn’t get involved with the Met Helmet comp, but am really interested in buying a new lid and love the one you wear, colour🤔 But I would love to see how the straps work, as can’t find anything on their site and can’t go see one either. Are the straps and adjuster flat on the face, hate Giro twisted straps. Show me how yours are, will get me one if they’re comfy👍
Ah. I saw a couple today going the other way and looked a bit like you 2. Wasn’t riding a a zero slr but looked like you! Shame, such a beautiful day for a ride, oh well maybe bump into you guys another day out in the hills!
FYI, these are not "unusual times", they are "unprecedented times". At least this is what every commercial playing on American television is telling me. Cue the somber piano music.
I've been really struggling for motivation recently. Pre rona I've always gone out with friends. I just don't enjoy it as much solo. It probably doesn't help that I've put on half a stone of lockdown weight...
YAC RICHTHOFEN hey! Medium is still in stock of the orange/yellow jersey 👍🏼 we won’t be restocking sold out sizes straight away, but fear not. We have lots of exciting new designs still to come this summer.

E-bike... very fine, getting people out and leveling the field allows more fun! Looking forward to getting my new Attacus kit.
Congrats on #900 Francis! Good part of my day watching your channel.

France is unlocked enough to go out on a bike again in less than 48 hours ...
Counting and watching you in the meantime.
Take care

The new kit is super, it would go perfectly with my Cervelo S5 (black & white) I like the ebike, my wife might also benefit from one of these

The Attacus graphics game is strong. I copped that on your baselayer during the 2 Teds. Nice.
Emily designed it, so good! Thanks for commenting Greg

900👌sweet and thanks for the super enjoyable and interesting content
1:30 Daisy nails e-bikes in a nutshell, it's motivating to get people out. If ever there was a now time for e-bikes... it's now ! :)
As someone who ride Zwift full-time, I'd love to hear your review of riding on Zwift - overall thoughts, how it could be improved, etc. Thanks, Francis - congratulations on your 900th video! Cheers!
I only started using zwift a month ago! 😛
congrats on 900.
Your 200th Vlog seems like yesterday. Here’s to 900 more. 😎👍
Saw you going up Little Switzerland (back of Box).... congrats on 900.
I like how these Met helmets looks like those vintage leather helmets.
Designed with that in mind!
The Bontrager Circuit has a similar look in matte black. 👌
Cheers to the 900th vid!
I think I may have watched all 900 (maybe). Thanks for making them.
😁
That's a nice kit!!
You are a really nice couple. So cool you can cycles together and both are challenged :)
👍 x900
You've really come a *long way* Francis
👊
Rad videos ! 💥 👊🏻
You're so lucky to have someone to motor pace you for extra good fitness speed training
Just want to hear some guitar twanging at the end like the good old days

not today, yesterday!

Ebikes ftw! We did some E trail riding recently and it was lit!
Interesting content as usual, thanks.👍
Yellow is small and medium is sold out, there will be new supply?
YAC RICHTHOFEN hey! Medium is still in stock of the orange/yellow jersey 👍🏼 we won’t be restocking sold out sizes straight away, but fear not. We have lots of exciting new designs still to come this summer.
@@AttacusCc i pray for a yellow one so :)
any thoughts on re-releasing video #1 with you talking about how far you've come and what you've learned? Congrats on the 900!
haha. I haven't been back to watch in a long time!
900 🙏🏼🤟🏻👍🏻
love her honesty
How did you make the Rouleur magazine collages? I want to do the same for my national geographics but, not too sure how to go about it
scalpel & steel rule the covers off using the binding as a guide, then spray mount to foam display board. non windy day needed for the mounting because the spray mount is lethal 😂
