      Agreed, one state is a good solution. Except for the fact that Palestinian demographic is larger than occupying Israelis, and if Democratic rights are given to each Palestinian, Israel as we know cannot exist.

      Good clarification of the history & context of UNRWA funding
      No evidence whatsoever has been provided that UNRWA staff were involved in attacks on Israel 7 October. Most other countries who stopped UNRWA funding preemptively to an investigation have now restored it. New Zealand should do the same. With the ditching of our independent foreign policy it was clear that NZ followed the herd with other western countries in stopping that funding at all. This is not good. We need to hold judgement until evidence is clear before acting in that way. Take back our position of an independent foreign policy.

    One state solution is a dilution.
    No one in there wants it.
    Another fantasy that people without courage are suggesting.
    We need the Palestinian to recognize Israel as the Jewish state, and finaly agree to two states solution.
    The biggest obstacle to that is the "right of return" which is another way to say that you don't recognize Israel as the Jewish state.

      What I find bias is the choice of guest. If our media are to continue giving a platform to partisan political opinions on issues like this then they ought to run double guest interviews with counter bias. This would be much more interesting and fair.
      For example, having someone in this interview bold enough to point out the fact that Israel withdrew from Gaza in 2005.

    • @orrinransfield2569
      @orrinransfield2569 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@1dayatatyme You're either woefully uneducated or obfuscating all the information that doesn't fit the very purposefully manufactured narrative you are trying to disseminate out into your own little echo chamber. Eitherway pointing out "Isreal withdrew from Gaza in 2005" doesn't explain what that means or how it relates to what the actual standards of living experienced by Palestinians in Gaza is like (the worlds largest security blockaded open air prison) 100% still under complete Military occupation and Rule even since 2005. They have extremely restricted access to food, water and electricity , no freedom of movement, or employment not recognized as legal citizens by Israel. They are harrased beaten and arrested routinely by IDF approx 10000 palestinian prisoners currently in Israeli detainment facilities, 7000 of them belived to be women and children mostly being held without charges indefinitely. They have no legal rights to build or upgrade existing structures even on land they ownn. Permits must be obtained from Isreal to build which is an extremely difficult, expensive and lengthy process that almost always ends in Denial or multiple denials over many years. IDF bulldozes Homes or structures they declare as illegally erected or built. Many independent aid and humanitarian rights agencies have reported and varified f Isreali war crimes, humanitarian law violations, abuses and genocide. Oct 7 was horrible, horrific, disgusting but also inevitable given the lenghtt of time living with that level of dehumanizing treatment and oppression day after day. Not a justification 100% act of evil but if Israel was trying to create the perfect conditions to exponentially increse the statistical probabilty of creating a consistent supply of young angry palestinians that have internalized trauma, depression, hopeessness, anger, resentment, hate and seemingly feeling they have nothing else to lose or tragically nothing they can imagine living for.
