Thank you! We put a bunch of work into it, the main channels will have their content out soon. Some like Matt’s and Fabrats had a lot of cameras so they should have some really good footage. The others had camera crews but not as many people.

Thanks you so much!! We tried hard, walking up the trail with the wreckers until 4pm but then… had to call it a day and missed the chute but we had to go check on our dogs. They were fine but usually eat supper at 3.

Thanks Cris, each of the wreckers has their own channels but Matt’s off-road recovery is the big one. It started out as pulling lots of people out of sand but sometimes jobs are more complex so Matt builds a new vehicle to handle the tougher jobs… but then the jobs get tougher so he has to build an even more extreme off road recovery machine. Before you know it you are driving a custom built off road tow truck with 54” tires and 4 wheel steering lolz! pure awesomeness.
That thing is a beast!

Yes I found that out the day after and yes RIP Robert Blake. We decided to leave that out and let Matt address it. It was rough and put a damper on the rest of the event, Matt took a bit to shake it off and get into the show must go on mode but you knew they were gutted.

And BSF whole tested, not to those conditions! They all did so well! I have to laugh now when I feel I have the xterra at a steep angle and realize compared to what they are doing it must feel more like they are in a rocket ship than a wheeled vehicle!

We were just in between 29 Palms and Salton trying to get through a pass but got stuck and had to self rescue. Took about 3 hours ,pulling a trailer makes extrication much more difficult! Another vehicle or a winch or maybe lockers would have made all the difference.

Only question I have is why have someone in the disabled vehicle? Especially when they took on the Chute at the end. Seems like an unnecessary risk.
Good question. In parts it was useful as they would be able to steer a line or use the brakes, for others it wasn’t so useful as far as I could tell. Lizzy had zero steering input, on steep descents she could brake to prevent the wreck from hitting the wrecker bit otherwise… not much input. Merlin’s wreck driver (Scott?) had his hands full as Merlin ran a long line and booted it through parts of the course. He looked exhilarated and terrified in equal measure!

Marlon needs to look at his suspension that truck bounces badly under a load and even when he climbs. Might have the wrong shocks for it I am sure it's pretty heavy.

Matt may have a more capable rig, but Merlin and Rory know their boom towing very well. Their skills behind the wheel made up a huge gap.

They asked us to not post spoilers and to wait until after Thursday when their videos would start dropping so that’s what we did. We waited till thrips day and even then we still haven’t posted any spoilers or anything at all of the closing ceremonies or scores.
Most of everybody: "NO ONE can get a wrecker thru 777 AND tow a dead vehicle up there with it. IMPOSSIBLE!"

Didn’t you agree when coming in to the show to not post anything from the wrecker games until after MORR and the other event organizers posted their videos? Seems like you’ve tried to undercut their videos by putting your video out first. Shameful.
Haha Matthew #quicktojudge casting shame before allowing anyone to respond. Firstly no, we didn’t agree to not post videos until after MORR. Casey says that was stipulated in the waiver, I don’t know if this is true or not. I assume it is true but would need to verify if I felt it important but it isn’t. We signed up on our phones in the parking lot after driving to the event from Yuma. If it was in the small print I didn’t read it on my phone in the few minutes between signing up and getting our race package. At the event on day 1 they asked us to not post any spoilers. This verbal request is a courtesy ask rather than a legal requirement but we decided to comply. On day 2 the announcer asked us to wait until Thursday and not post any spoilers. I’m a huge MORR fan so out of respect for the crew and the event we didn’t post any spoilers, we kept our drone grounded, and waited till Thursday as requested. That said, we didn’t have to do any of that. The event was mostly in public lands and anyone could have just rolled up and watched it or filmed it without being bound by any agreement whatsoever. We just paid the money because we wanted to support the event. I don’t care about the t shirts, I’ll give them away. I hope you enjoyed the event either in person or through video. We are filming and documenting our trip to and through baja and this event is part of our story and our existences. Cheers!
Audio is very average
Hey Big Kev, yeah I think that’s our biggest weakness right now. We are still learning the editing and angles as well but audio…. We need to dead mouse things and separate audio, it was windy so that created a challenge and you can only do so much with the editing software unless we did all voiceover after the fact.
