The original location opened in 1971 and moved to the Lemmon Ave location in 1974. I saw quite a few progressive county artists at the original location. I remember seeing you there one night. It was Texas' version of California's Troubadour. Hippy country outlaw rockers hang out with hot babes everywhere
I actually came to Ray Wylie Hubbard through the East Side Dave Sports Show on Sirius XM, same week he did Letterman. It was on the Opie & Anthony channel back in the day & Roy Harter worked there & he knew Ray somehow. Anywho, RWH came over & somehow put up w/ ESD & they performed Drunken Poets Dream.
Met you at Apache Motorcycle few years back. "Thunder on the Brazos Rally" Brother you was the star of the show! It was a pleasure seeing you in person. Them was good times!
