I honestly never picked up Village because I wasn't sold on the 1st person perspective, despite how great the game looked. I'll definitely be getting it now that they're adding a 3rd person mode. Very smart decision Capcom
For this reason that pc are awesome there a mod for 3rd person since the release of re7 it just stupid it taken Capcom so much time to do something the fan have already done for like 4 years now
@@legros731 I'm guessing it's the animation work that had to be done. That and they wanted to drop it with the rest of the Village content being released.
Village was a fantastic experience.
@@legros731 Yeah I saw footage of the mod but the animations were pretty janky, which kind of diminishes the experience for me. I agree Capcom should've included it from the start, but regardless looking forward to finally playing it.

About RE4 was noticeable how they are trying to keep the same music style of the original and making it feeling like RE 3.5,I love it.I am really so hyped,they don't have to disappoint after the RE3 backlash.
You can even hear the village theme at the end of re4 presentation :0 And like you said, a bit more creepy
@@Luminario64 Yeah I heard the village theme when you get spotted by the ganados,even if they were talking over it and the volume was low I have that music so printed on me that I instantly noticed it.It's so faithful to the original theme with an even creepier tone for what I got,I really like it.If they just re-arrange the OST without totally changing them it will be awesome,RE4 OST is really good and has creepy tracks that I want to hear again especially in a remake that is going in a more horror route.Of course I welcome new music too as long as they are good.

You can see that Capcom is giving a big hug to those players that had being abandoned by Konami because of the disappearing of Silent Hill.
Shadows of Rose gives a bit of SH vibe if I understand the premise correctly.
I *PRAY* Leon is still strapped with his one liners. Although never really needed for levity, the little pops of his aloof and coy humor(usually to just himself) added to the character. Heavily.
I fear they're gonna take away all the cringe-esque moments of attempted humor and characterization, as a means to push Leon into the box of the strong silent type who oozes stoicism.
I think they may incorporate it a little bit more into gameplay and less so in the cutscenes. In RE2R you see Leon talking to himself in a few moments, commenting on the environment or the situation in a quippy way.
They will all be removed because it 2022 and everything is offensive

@@legros731 I didn't mean the actions you could make Leon do. I meant the cutscenes where Leon is usually either quipping to himself, or an overzealous foe. Like when he called Salazar, 'Bro', or the infamous, "Bingo" line.

@@coolguyhino92 The funny thing to me is most of his quips come in the Castle which is arguably the most tense part of the game, so it clearly didn't ruin anything.

I’m really digging with the remake continuity they are doing here. Remaking re4 that nobody asked a remake of and having after credits scene in Re3r, they clearly have a bigger plan for this, or at least I hope so.
Seeing they started off the remake with leon, claire, and jill, the next remake would probably re1 or code veronica.
But who knows, they might pull off another stunt and remake 5 next which I’m not gonna complain either.

I feel the plan is to get the whole series in RE series in the RE Engine. And I'm fine with that, personally I couldn't get into OG RE4 or RE1 Remake due to their styles of gameplay, and in RE1's case camera angles. I however loved RE2R.
5 and 6 is the big question. RE5 they could probably get away with remaking while only making slight changes. RE6 though....
@@depressedcheems9961 If you think about it the GC remake of RE1 is 20 years old and the hd versions don't really hold up well since the prerendered backgrounds look like shit 1/3rd of the time on big screens with high resolution so I wouldn't think that another remake of 1 would be redundant
RE1 makes the least sense to remake, the main complaints can be the camera angle and gameplay style but I think it adds to it's own niche. Also the sound design and visual design is so awesome fitting with the gothic styled interior of the Spencer Mansion. I love RE1 remake so Im kinda biased lol. If they remake RE1 they would have to do something real interesting with it because RE1 has perfectly aged. I can only justify RE1 remake remake is if it sets its own standard like RE2 remake, replicating RE1 on a new engine will not have the same magic. RE4 is amazing gameplay wise, but visually and story wise it can feel dated. I'm excited how the castle will change because the original is bland visually.

Based on what we have so far, this new RE4 Leon makes it seem like he's still very bothered by what he went through in Raccoon City.
I just hope the shooting animation is well, so that we don’t have to wait 3 seconds after every shot, for perfect aim

@@dr.t3946 I mean. They can make new characters. I’m honestly tired of all media being sequels, remakes and remasters. New characters at least would allow for many story possibilities to open up. With the old hands it’s pretty hard to make a horror experience.

I like that, with a couple of stuff, they're finally acknowledging the player fanbase and making changes that benefit the community. RE4 and 8 are not my favorite RE games, but at least it's cool the direction they're taking.

RE4 is a great game and it's mad entertaining, it's just not on top of the RE games for me. It's not the one I grew up with either. I still hope RE4R makes it justice.

Definitely seems like it will be more about horror than action and I like that idea. After all, Rose may have superpowers (which she doesn't fully control or understand) and she might have some training - but she's not some well trained veteran like Chris or Leon.
the addition of 3rd person to RE8 is everything! I never played it because of the first person gameplay but I'm so excited to get it now and I'm very relieved RE4 is over the shoulder too! Super hyped 😁👍

@@legros731 That mod is janky as hell. It took them a while because believe it or not, they would have had to rework all of the cutscenes and adjust camera angles, and animate all of Ethan’s body

Worries me when they say "Making a resident evil 4 that everyone can enjoy" as if the original isnt regarded as a complete masterpiece, even by the people who havent played it. I hope they only improve the things that they KNOW they need to, and not random changes/cut content just because its a "modern reimagining"

I have imagining much things about the remake and what could be done or ..redone.
But i expect yes some cut contents and change to lines for ..the 'Luis Sera) "well...you know ? " things that are a plague/trendy nowadays.
By more serius tone and atmosphere i can herad too indrectly: maybe some fun moves or actions.
Jump and broke a window: yes realtic in some way but the same in the upper windows ? (think to the very first house by example) ..well not so sure.
For the QTE i think they wil be removed and in real time without sort of cinematics...maybe but it could pose a problem for a famous, iconic and well knows one..(Krauser)
I expect the cas eof course but i wonder about the money...if they go the realistic way in re2 remake fashion. (Vilage was a test too)

For the gameplay action part... i can see a dodge as Revelations 2 or re3 remake..and a CQC with knife and counter attack. A bit as Carlos but without abuse. Meaning in the way realistic.

So annoying hear people talk about RE3 remake cutting content, but not acknowledging that RE2 Remake went super lame on the differences between A and B scenario, there are almost no differences.. start in different spot, get different handgun, extremely easy extra boss to end game… even in the original RE2, there was the machine gun and side pack that you could only take one and leave for the other.

And idk man, RE3R cutting a few HOURS worth of content in a RE game (an already short, linear experience) to me will always be worse than botching an interesting mechanic from the old game
I think I'm the only one that enjoyed BOTH games. Yea both had some content cut (RE3 more than RE2) but they were both extremely fun in their own ways. I played both numerous of times and will play them more with the new next gen updates
@@skeppy8925 Sadly, people will always be more butthurt about quantity than quality. Even if the thing cut out is regurgitated dog shit, they will complain. It's just people being petty pennypinchers.
I don't think there's a single person who doesn't acknowledge that fault in RE2 remake. The thing is, RE2 remake has replayability factor to it and it didn't really cut out enough to nag it too hard. RE3make literally cut out certain areas that the original had. RE2 didn't cut out any areas and, in fact, added new areas. RE3make attempted to give replayability to the game through the points shop, but like it's first playthrough... it's only hype for a short period. The game doesn't even have S+ as a possible rank. I put maybe 28 hours into RE3make whereas I've put about 110 hours into RE2 remake just to get S+ on every mode. You know what RE2 remake also doesn't do that RE3make does? Cut characters.
RE3make isn't a terrible game. It's a gorgeous game that is well-acted and still fun to play. I think just about everyone, myself included, was totally hyped throughout playing RE3make for the first time. However, the hype wears off really quick after you sit and think about what could have been done better. Nemesis being introduced too soon... areas being cut, not having Jill roam the police station, so many cutscenes especially ones with useless "QTE", lack of S+ rank, shop items that are either memes or holding your hand through the harder modes, Hardly any extra costumes, No Barry at the end... it just doesn't live up to the standard that RE2 remake set and the expectations RE2 remake had given us.
tl;dr it's an okay reimagining, but it's a bad remake and so many of us were disappointed that a game equivalent to borderline DLC was charged as a full price game and lacked so much.

As much as the RE4 reimagining looks good the one thing I hope they really keep is the melee moves, I don't care if it makes the games less scary since the melee moves were my favorites from the original 4 and 5
tru men is like the special thing of the game, i really would like that even when you aim leon don’t move like in the original but i understand that the enemies will be more dinamic so you need to move fast
@@terryfaulcer9052 True but Resident evil 4 was a turning point in the series, where it merges survival horror with action shooter. They did say they wanted the remake to be more “grounded” but who knows with what they will do. I think we’re all just excited for new resident evil content!

I love the original re4, it's a ton of fun, I wouldn't have it any other way, so if you're gonna make it different, at least make it fit in
All in gonna say is that if you DON'T just want a re2/3make version of re4, you're most likely gonna be disappointed
In other words, anyone who wanted the gameplay to remotely be similar to the original (I don't care, don't have anything that can play the remake anyway), you're most likely not getting what you're looking for

Ever since I played re4 and 5 with the melee mechanics, I always look forward to walking up to an enemy and snapping the neck or roundhousing, scissor kicking etc, I think they make the game way more fun due to the immense amount of shooting in the game, Edit: also that was just an opinion, I don't want to be flamed for it. 🤣

SoR will likely be the closure for the Winters, showing something to come in the future while not forcing them to make RE9 be 16+ years after RE8
This would then allow the devs to use the legacy characters in 9, which is apparently gonna be the last Resident Evil game that uses a number title, so I get the feeling they might try to do something like 6 again(in the sense of using multiple characters)

Resident Evil 3 REALLY needs an update. It needs some things adjusted, and more content added that was missing. I really want to enjoy it, but it's really hard knowing how halfbaked it is. Especially considering they removed the dismemberment that RE2 Remake has. Everything in 3 Remake just feels watered down or just gone entirely. It CAN be good, it just needs a final content update and polish pass. Capcom, please...

Wow I can finally play Village! I can't handle fast paced first person games very well so i had to skip out on playing that entry. Now that there is a 3rd person mode I will definitely have to get the game. They should do this with all future planned first person RE games from the get-go.

I'm a bit sad you can't play RE7 though. I feel like it and Village just go together to tell one complete story. However I get why they didn't do it, as 7 has too many playable characters with the DLCs for redoing the animations to be practical, not even mentioning all the enemies
@@ExtraordinaryFate Like Owen pointed out, I do get motion sickness that varies depending on the experience. Sometimes it can just be a bad headache or I could actually get nauseous if I stick around in the game for too long.

Please, for the RE4 Remake, focus on the story and gameplay instead of forcing another online multiplayer bullshit into it like what happened to RE3. They cut so much good content from it.

Love the style of these remakes on re engine. The characters looks awesome too. One thing that bothered me was the screen space reflections. They looked dreadful but with the recently added ray tracing its perfect.
so glad leon is his re2 model but matured he looks great. also the ending of village being a set up for the DLC and not RE9 is reassuring bc a whole game following rose wasn't exciting for me lol

Quick question: why does Capcom keep insisting that RE4 is in some village in Europe, when it is literally Spain?
In RE5, they made up the West African country of Kijuju, and in RE6 they made up the country of the Eastern Slav Republic (actually, since RE: Damnnation), and they name specifically Siberia and China as sites.
So what’s so hard about naming Spain as the country Leon infiltrates?

Even in the original it was never specified as Spain, just in Europe. Just like how Village is clearly set in Romania, but it specified as eastern Europe in the game.
I doubt that there's a real reason. It may just be an artistic choice of sorts. Telling us by implication, not directly, if that makes sense. Basically not holding the player's hand entirely.
Im still prefered to get an Code Veronica Remake First instead of 4.
Don’t get me wrong , ReMake 4 is stunning but for the Sake of Story telling an Setup Code Veronica would be better.
Better Locations, Wesker Revive in ReEngine, Chris and Claire find each other finally, the Chance to make Steve less annoying and so on ...
But like back then on Release of Code Veronica on Dreamcast Capcom still don’t want to except it’s True State of Resident Evil „3“ in Term.

I definitely enjoy the song at the end of RE2R. I think it only plays on B scenario though, can't remember though. The song called Saudade. Also really like the song that is the Mr. X chase seen I think just after you finished the lab with Leon or it might when you actually have to fight Mr. X as Leon. That is a good song.

The OG Resident Evil 4 felt special, it was like a journey, an unforgetable, iconic game. If they mess that up, it will be pretty damaging.
