Headed up to Erie tomorrow 6am for the last trip in the boat most likely. I'm about an hour away. Not sure if we are perching or looking for walley, probably both.
It's refreshing to see someone else have my usual musky fishing experience. :-) West Branch has been at least 10 feet down from "normal pool." Was it tough to launch at the campground ramp? Do you find that it's tough fishing when the water is so low, or do you feel like it concentrates the fish? Thanks and keep up the good work!
Definitely the lowest I've ever seen it for sure. Thr wind effected me more than thr depth although many of the places I catch them casting were completely out of water. So goes the life of someone who fishes man made reservoirs that are used for water control.
No, it's part of the Mahoning River chain of lakes. Yes, crappie are most definitely hitting now if you can get to deeper water but the walleye are hitting much better.
Use to hunt out there off cable -line rd. think it's closed now, wish I was still young guys keep doing it as long as you can guys.
I did a little hunting off cable line myself

Last trip? I'd pack extra snacks, a couple monsters and fish for both!
