Relaxing for the weekend. I'll have her back out this weekend

Striper never did well in many of the lakes they were stocked into, just not a good catch ratio to keep up the stocking. Seneca kept getting stocked for for the females eggs to make wipers but I'm guessing they figured something else out.

@@karlwolf101 I would say stripers were challenging to get and raise but catfish in general are much easier and less expensive to raise is part of it. Seems like ODNR were open and tried more things for the sportsman back in the day. Some of the old timers still talk about how good stripers were in west branch

@fishon6515 definitely cheaper for sure! I caught one bigger than a yard stick at wb when I was 16. Also remember many folks think the hybrids are strippers and the hybrids are much easier to catch

You can check the Ohio fosh consumption advisory guide. Really I'd be more concerned about other foods that are labeled as safe or even just labeled as food. It's a starcraft, I'm going to do a walk through video after I get a few more things setup on it

I only started fishing the Ohio last year and moved back to Ohio 6 years ago. We checked out that wall Saturday but not marking any fish. I believe next time I put the boat in on the Ohio it will be around Marietta, heading up to the Devol dam and Willow dam.

No, we have an agreement with WV regarding the Ohio river and I believe also KY. You do need to follow the fishing regulations depending which side your bank fishing or launching on though.

I'd like to see them reintroduced into lake Erie and it's tributaries.

The ODNR seem to be stuck on them saugeye and don't get me wrong I like fishing for them also be I think it be nice to try some other things like saugers. They told us they live better in dirty ,shallow lakes then walleye. In my opinion they would be a perfect fit for some of slitted in lakes the muskingum watershed has to offer and the spawn. What do you think about tje ODNR purposing to take of the length limit on saugeye ?

@fishon6515 Sauger would be great to try reintroducing them huge up the tributaries in their natural ranges and see how they do. Saugeye AR definitely a hot seller through as we have heavy fishing pressure and much harvesting

One day I'm going to need to start measuring the really big ones. I've got a few maybe close to 50" but I'll never know because I don't measure

The north fork marina has a few waterfront tent sites

Nothing as great as a hot bite

Definitely a decent fishery in that lake and a few good walleye. Ray caught a really big one 2 weeks ago (I think 27") and released it for ya.

I'm a complete amateur when it comes to Erie trolling or "pro" trolling in general, I've never given it much tome seriously besides musky trolling when my arms are whooped from casting big baits

Worm harnesses are the bread and butter of those head boats from drifting and hard to beat. But what if you tried a really heavy jigging minnow like a jig rap or moonshine minnow? My friend Matt has been getting some jigging a 4" twitch minnow on a 1/2 oz jighead
