I subbed because: New videos frequently and consistently Vriety of sets opened Good camera angle I enjoy your commentary & your accent The punishment at the end is hilarious I am from Canada and feel like: Canada is to USA how New Zealand is to Australia. Thoughts?
Hey, you said some really nice things there. I'm really grateful you took the time to do that & it means a lot to me! As for the comparison: Yeah totally dude! You couldn't have a better comparison , culturally very similar with a few minor differences. They're like our big brothers across the sea 😂
Hi Cardboardkiwi this is the creator of magic the gathering Richard Garfield here. Im very happy to see that you are a fan of magic, it brings me great joy to see people enjoying the game i created over 20 years ago! When i pass and leave this mortal realm i will rest peacefully knowing my game will continue thanks to amazing custodians such as yourself so thanks for all the work you do. Lots of love Richard! 💋
Your commentary is solid stuff. Very informative, I'm learning magic history that, I feel, would be tricky to know unless you experienced it yourself, which of course you have. We'll have to sling some cards again soon
i find a lot of humor in the final part of the video because theres a reality where those cards someday spike in value LOL. good jokes mate. great video
Yep, it was unfortunately the last bastion of valueable normal foils! It's really interesting to see that they're typically less valuable in current sets. Appreciate your support :)
It should be the orm to get at least a 75% recovery if a box. Is at its worse and a 125% return for a good box. Although personally with this clue set i don't expect much. It doesn't exactly scream legacy collection. The hid powercreep bangers in this set but thematically its not that interesting.
Some totally fair points in there - It should never be the expectation to break even in a box, and there's more intangible value to them on top of what the cards are worth. I.e. the fun you have opening or drafting, there is value in that. And yeah core sets never were thematically that exciting, with no overarching story but they hit more of a nostalgia vibe.

Did Drawn from dreams get the punishment or the lawn? 😂😂
Yeah that's a fair comment. The lawn did cop it pretty bad 🤣🤣
such a neat little MtG time capsule
Completely agree, very nostalgic & refreshing to have something a little different :)
Sometimes i think the card value rating is set really low as a consumer, evea dollar card is not worth a dollar after store tradedown..

Totally get you. What's the typical trade in rate for a store where you are?
@@CardboardKiwi tcg mid and 60% store cred
@@CardboardKiwi its funny because it really looks like darn near 80% of card value is just dismissed before any kind of negotiation.
Thanks, I completely agree.
