      @@marvinmensah2956 i was going to buy the $145 version someone posted because i am in NJ we only get 4 months of good hot weather to use it, and even then I would only use it twice in a year. but after some pondering i chose the one that Silver Cymbal recommended which is twice the price @$299 prime.
      only because i do not want to deal with getting parts for this down the road and the cheaper version looked a little cheaper in materials

The two products I like the best are the Demand CS amzn.to/2OpjOOb and the Talstar amzn.to/2VtSMH2 both work very well but Demand CS is my favorite due to its safety record and the way it works is totally different and safer than most pesticides.

    • @amkowalyk

      Sr 450 does double as a leaf blower however its 800$ the sr200 however doesn't allow blower usage and is 439$. The sr200 doesn't allow usage of powered or pellet mixture and has a shorter application distance, the tomahawk beats the stihl sr200 in specs. I like stihl that's what my dad owned that what I own chainsaws weed wackers pole saw etc.

    • @SilverCymbal
      @SilverCymbal  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Brettsgrasscapades I fully agree that you should always use Tenacity according to the label and this is not an approved application method per se but that being said there is a possibility of using it in this manner. I am not recommending it since I haven't tried it but it could be possible for use in larger open areas. You would run the risk of over or under application. This would not be my first choice for most home lawns, just thinking a a little outside the box.

    Believe you should disconnect the pressure pump before using dry via leaf blower otherwise it could burn out the pump.
    Edit: Don't need to disconnect the pressure pump, just need to add water to the tank, then close the white fluid valve so that water is cycling through the pump to cool it but not blowing out the end. @@marvinmensah2956 tenacity is a selective herbicide and needs to be applied precisely at the labeled rate or you risk damaging non targeted areas. The most blowers are great for mosquito applications and other insecticide applications but are not precise enough to do herbicide or fertilizer applications. You would be better served by a tow behind spray cart with a boom for a lot that size.

    Sad that people feel the need to have their gardens and lawns so sterile.

    Hard to trust a review from a person wearing rubber gloves adding 2 stroke mix.... wish Stihl would make conversion kit for a BR420.

      Work however you want but when you work with as much fuel, oil & chemicals as I do, skipping gloves is asking for trouble. I am convinced that Stihl wants to be the most difficult company to work with on the planet, no one line sales, very few parts and they regularly seem to cancel dealers. I have some of their stuff but their sales model is right out of the 60s.

    Spraying that insecticide in the trees probably does wonders for bird droppings since it kills them too.🐿🐥☠☠

    • @SilverCymbal
      @SilverCymbal  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      All insecticides of course will carry some risk I am not denying that. But we have a huge population of insects, bees, amphibians and lots more interesting animals like salamanders and turtles. I have seen no change in ay of them since using this. Keep in mimd mosquito EEE is deadly and very real and Lyme disease is a serious issue. Spraying the way I do selectively around the perimeter works very well and appears to cause no problems.
