I just wanted to add that I love the subgenre of Giallo. Suspiria from 1977 is the film which introduced me to the subgenre and I love the original. I acknowledge that there are issues with the original though. I do like the remake, there are some issues with it, the runtime is one of the issues I have with the remake.
So; to appease Adum, there is a fanedit preservation of THX 1138 called The Hybrid Cut, which restores much of the original version of THX. The editor’s name is TM2YC and he regraded much of the official blu-ray, and when other changes were made he used an upscale of the widescreen laserdisc.
