Funny how sometimes a caught piece of thread can bring a machine's value from over a grand to under a hundred. Worth giving it the 'go through'. Nice work, girl!❤

So true! 😂 And thanks, I hope there will be one good final update with this gal.

She is super cute and I want her to live forever. This is the first video I've ever seen of yours, have you oiled her up? I feel like I could hear metal rubbing against each other. Please use her. OOO SHE'S SOOO CUTE!

I wrote this comment before hearing you say you oiled her in the last part of the video.

Oiled and greased. She works, but something is off. The stitch isn't as fine as it should be. But I have hope. I just need to tinker with her a bit more.

I most definitely will once I do the few things I mentioned in the video. 😊

Hi! I was watching you put the hook assembly back on, did you put the right set screw on the flat spot of the shaft? Maybe you did, just couldn't see that in the video. Your stitch issue isn't from not polishing the commutator, so don't worry about that. The noise issue could be several things, I bet if you explore the situation a little more you will figure it out. :)

Funny you mention the set screw. I thought I was being good about putting the right one back. But I've been second guessing myself going over things again. Definitely going to check that. Thanks for the tip about the commutator. It was a suggestion but, I am not familiar with that component. I feel like something isn't in right. More tinkering is ahead of me and I totally reference your videos for help. (Thanks so much for your comment.)

Second hand panic here. Hopefully with a little more work she'll be good to go!

Since you took off the hook assembly, you will need to re-time your machine. Even being slightly out will cause machine to run rough and feel stabby when sewing

Absolutely. That is the first thing on my list to check. I read threads online where others' timing was off and their machines sounded like what my machine is doing. A "shabby" stitch. I am hoping that is it. Excellent tip to point out though, thank you!

It's never straight forward when you just want to play and test a new toy lol.
