Wow!The side cameras with LED are wonderful which is exactly what I'm looking for! Thanks for your sharing! And waiting for your next video on road with whole system installed.
I purchased the Furrion 4 camera wireless system from Amazon for just over $800. The rear camera has an antenna and internal antennas on the side cameras. It also came with a camera to replace the Rig door light. I can take my screen inside the rig and see who at my door. Night vision is excellent
@@ramman5784 So you have your running lights on all the time even when you're in an Rv park? How do you keep it from running your tow vehicle battery down?
The 7108 monitor is supposed to work with the new side cameras so you should not need to install the new camera in the rear of your rig and then have the wire running along the roof and drilling holes in your roof. The only difference between the 7108 camera and the Dominator is the CMOS. In the Dominator it is a little larger and provides 130 degrees of view. The 7108 camera CMOS is a little smaller and 120 degrees of view.
It's different rear cameras, they're both compatible with 7108 monitor. 7108 camera CA108 couldn't work with Dominator, while the new camera CA613 could. The Doninator allows you to strengthen wireless signal for long RVs even on the freeway.
This is great that you see both down on the ground and higher than the roof. You wont back into branches or fall in a hole. I would get these for sure. Thanks for your testing.
I always have concerns about things like the antennas on the side cameras being too easy to remove. Especially by someone not me. How much more difficult would the installation become to have the cameras wired live at all times, maybe switched through the upfitter systems? I wouldn't want to have to turn on my running lights at night to see the cameras. Can you also wire a location inside the trailer for the monitor, again for use at night?
Nice! I wish the oem truck makers would team up with the camera companies like these guys to get options for the viewing to show up on the systems already in the truck. I don't really care for having extra screens obstruing my view but none the less, it's a good product
Old video yes, but since you just posted the Furrion video thought I'd ask if you ever made the video showing the antenna cable roof mounting? Was wondering if you drilled into the roof, or also wondering if a 4" wide eternabond tape would be enough to hold that long cable secure to the roof in the long run?
Great question! I am ready to install the Haloview including the roof cable and I like your EternaBond idea! Would greatly appreciate any help from readers! Thanks!
Do you have the link for the whole kit? Or links for more than just the side marker cameras? Looking for: -The monitor used -The rear cam with the booster Thanks in advance!
I really like this idea of the side cameras, just like one guy said when you back up your trailer solo these will be nice. Also I see a lot of people talking about being worried that people walking by and removing the antennas which I can see that as being a big concern. Could you possibly use some silicon on the antenna threads to help as a thread locker
I run the Furrion S series cameras. Rear, side door and side markers. Furrion looks a lot cleaner that the system you’re showing but the signal might not be as strong. That being said, I’ve had no week signal issues with Furrion
The display scheme of FURRION is D1, 720*576, and the display scheme of Haloview is 1280*720.In addition, furrion's display uses a touch screen, the display will be weaker. As can be seen from many assessments, the image of haloview is clearer and more transparent.
I used to try Furrion FOS07TAED. The system has signal issue, sometimes it works sometimes not so good. This really annoying and leave me no choice to try other brands. Haloview system looks more clearer image resolution and better signal strength, much lower price which helped me save money. Although it's not touch screen, for that price and performance I think it's acceptable.
Furrion also has a huge amount of video lagg. Cars are along side you when the rear camera is still showing them just coming up on you. It's especially bad at highway speed 😖🤬
I really wish they would release a camera that first the factory furrion pre-wiring/mount. The new trailer we have is setup for a furrion camera, but I have a halo that now sits on a shelf because it won't fit easily...
i looked at their site through the link you provided. I saw the side marker light cameras, but did not see the Backup Camera, monitor, long cable or booster. Is this a kit or was it pieced together with products that haloview offers? If so, could you give us a rundown of everything you had there? I imagine it is a Backup camera w/ monitor plus the extras you had on display.
If it supposedly has 1000' of range why do you have to run a cable to the front of the rv? 1000' if you have 1000' of cable? My furion certainly doesn't have that much range but it works really well with the antenna mounted on the camera.
When you try at 70 mph, the Furrion signal shows whether there are only 2 or even one. The haloview is a 4-cell signal that is smooth and does not drop frames. This is the magic of the Haloview RD7. In fact, the RD7 installation is not troublesome, the fifth round above 33FT, With Haloview RD7, image effects, transmission distance, and stability are great.
Brother, I did 12vt electronics back in the Circuit City days as a MECP Master installer and instructor. I learned many shortcuts. The heat shrink in this application isn't very critical. I agree though, by the book would have been better. So thanks
I wish they used safety screws so people wouldn't just be able to unscrew and steal. I guess someone could purchase them. These systems are really nice
Stop it! Every time I watch your videos I spend money ... and love what it does for our RV! The Centramatics on the RV is the cats meow ... along with the Reese Goosebox, etc, etc. Thanks!
Man that's cool, hoping to see a video when you are towing it!! Im wondering it they will be too distracting as now you are not only looking at your side mirrors but also 3 cameras..lol
I have the Furrion 7 system. No cable, full coverage and the rear backup/monitor camera plugs directly into the prewired system. I also wired my side markers into the turn indicator wires so they blink when signaling. That makes my intention to turn or move over to anyone moving along side.
J.D. question I have is any chance you ever do a female's point of view ie. your wife on a camper review. a different perspective would add a great addition to your reviews
@@Camperosyyc RVs have their own independent power sources and therefore can be wired 'live' directly and controlled from the hitch wiring system, OR if you know how to, directly to the switch panel
It’s too bad you have replace and rewire the entire system to get these results. No company makes them to plug & play with whatever system came with your RV. Mine is a toy healer with a backup camera and a garage camera. I just like to add the side cameras but would also have to change out my other two and the monitor. Gezzzzz nothing is easy is it?😜
Seems a little clunky. Not bad, but clunky. I have the Furrion rear observation camera that runs all the time. Wireless to the monitor in my truck and was pre wired with my camper. A very mediocre system, but it works ok and you can’t deny the simplicity of install. Only real complaint I have is the image quality on the screen. Granted mine is almost 4 years old and this may have improved since then.

you have a long RV? safety first mate. check your surroundings at all times, without this technology (or a banksman) thats almost impossible. then again, we can't all be perfect like you can we?
As someone who RV's solo in a travel trailer, this is perfect.
Very cool one of the best side camera options I have seen.
I guess my Big Question is.
Why did you mount the cameras about Mid Ship instead of at the front corner lights?🤔
Wow!The side cameras with LED are wonderful which is exactly what I'm looking for! Thanks for your sharing! And waiting for your next video on road with whole system installed.
Since you were drilling new holes into the wall, very surprised you did not check for level if for nothing else, for aesthetic value.
Jeff Carpenter the first camera he set up was way out of level!!
That's a cool feature !
The only suggestion would be
to have the camera on top
of the light 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟👍😊👍
I would think that having the camera on top of the light would cause glare in the lens? Dunno

We did this to our Grand Design Solitude. We do enjoy the ability to see down our 42 foot camper even if the angle of our truck doesn’t allow us.

They have the mounting system to convert what you have to their camera.
Just curious if you think the side marker cameras would work well with a large Lance truck camera?

Do the marker lights have to be on to power the side cameras? So they would usually only work at night?
You should always have your running lights on while you're towing even during the day.
What did you do to insulate behind the new lights on each side to protect your trailer from moisture?

Cable to ensure the strong signal even on the freeway and no any lags issue. So it's essential when you're on the road.
The Furion has a huge amount of Lagg at highway speeds.
This system has absolutely none.
All the upper end stuff you buy and test, it still surprises me that you bought a Chaparral.
I wonder if these cameras would work good in place of side mirrors on my custom '54 Dubl-Duti step van?
A question, at 7:59 what are the blue tube that at the end he melt with flame. What's the name of that?
Luca Fioretti those are butt connectors with heat shrink but probably should be red because of the smaller wire size
Doesn’t the camera base hide the clearance side marker to traffic behind you?
Also, how did your new tires fare?
With it being an Led it lights up a huge area of the trailer.
Plus it's 1 light in the system that runs the length of the trailer.
No wire stripper? Also you’re using the crimper wrong which damages the heat shrink, that crimper says right on it insulated or non insulated
