AudiophileLaws No,,,,That era is over. I do think house / trance / dance music as we knew and loved it is gone :( Skrillex and Niki Minaj have permanently degraded the music tastes of this generation. LOL, Now I sound like my DAD's generation. Seriously though, I'm in my mid-40's, I'm not Methuselah but I feel that I lived through some of the most amazingly intense music scenes in a hundred years. I go to a club now and just shake my head and think WTF. There used to be some actual musicality to it, well.. at least a good portion of it. There was certainly a lot of crap back then too but now it's just shock value and noise.
this is one of the best tracks on extreme g racing and it makes me happy to know there's a long enough version that i can play for the course of a entire race
I love this mix. It won me over ever since hearing it on Trance Nation 2001 and I never, ever get tired of it at all (just to clarify, Bedrock's specialty is progressive house instead of trance, although Heaven Scent still remains as one of my favorite classics and this is the only trance single they released, but there are also progressive house mixes of it as well).
To me, the whole pigeon hole game becomes extremely tough with these genres/this era, but would you really call Set in Stone and their remix of I Am (to name a few) progressive house? I think that's a mistake, my friend.
We all do Todd. When music was made to dance too, not for money or glory, just progressive house/trance that people thought of as a journey they could be a part of and DJs/Producers who made music to accompany you on that journey.
Purple Ys back in the 90s we had to travel to get smartes and sherbet but we had a dance club in our town we had house partys we had a great vibe going..... now the town is awash with smartes and powders but the young people don't embrace don't know how to rave......I worry for the kids
I almost went to a dance party recently with friends. I pulled out at the last minute - I didn't want to leave my small person an orphan! But what a way to go, eh? [laughing]
On The Gorgeous Ones label :-) :-) ... sharam & ali dub fire - the summer ... (my baby + my girlfriend ...) All due respects & appropriately ... The Lovely One (Jesus Christ) ... :-) :-) ...
to my mind one of the top 5 best progressive house tracks ever!
this is soooo good! I miss the old days. will this ever come back?
AudiophileLaws this goes a little more on the trance side than on the house side imho. still a great track, no genre bickering :)
