I'd say Sam's death when he got stabbed. It was unexpected, and Dean was... lost. He didn't know what to do without Sam. It was as if a part of his soul died with him. Heartbreaking.
I'm a guy and i have to say i actually shed some tears when i saw Sam's death. Jensen was just brilliant portraying Dean in those moments and the emotions really reached me. I'm an introverted person and i'm not in touch with my emotions. I rarely cry or feel pity or anger and stuff like this but when i saw Dean just begging Sam to fight and come back to him it just melted my heart. Also all the hugging in the show, some may call it gay, but it's actually one of the best parts.
I would say Dean's, for two reasons, the way they had his skin ripping and stuff but the look in his eyes, the way he portrayed the pain and then the blank stare, it was very good. Even though I knew he was going to die it was just very good.
I ralely couldn't say!!! Sam's was completely unexpected, and I was just speechless, then screamed and squealed etc at the screen. But with Dean's, it was much more emotionally intense because you knew it was coming there was more build up so it was more emotional. And the way he died - being literally torn apart while Sam watched, helpless to do anything - was really emotional. Jared's acting in Dean's death was one of the best performances he's done, I think.
It is currently 2015 and Season 11 (!!!) is on the horizon and to this day I still think Sam's death in AHBL was the saddest most gut-wrenching death of the entire series.

dean's reaction to sam's death was just..beyond words..He looked so desperate and vulnerable..And even in swan song at the end,bobby was gone and cas and sam..and dean just sat there numb like he couldn't really believe they were really gone and knowing that this time he might not be able to get sammy back like last time..dean's amazing

I don't know I think the Sam death where he got stabbed and died in Deans arms while Dean was begging him to stay an cryin and in general freaking out was really sad and made me cry but Dean getting ripped apart by the hell hounds was equally horrible because you could see how terrified he was and in general that's a horrible way to die, but specifically on mystery spot iDean dying over and over again became expected so it was like oh that's an um interesting way to die
I live in England and tend to miss out on these conventions :( I love them both soooo nmuch and only pray that they do one over here. They are so adorable!!!

Dean's death was awful too because I kept thinking that they were going to be able to stop it in the end and they didn't. Both were unbelievably tragic, but I'd have to say Sam's because of how hard I cried during that whole scene.

It was unexpected as where Dean we all kind of knew something really bad was going to happen. It was the finale and everybody know's the finales never ever end well for the boys. I can't believe tonight is the season 8 finale. Speaking of not ending well.
