Bill Carter! Gem of a man. Sat with him chatting about song writing at bar, both of us eating a meal. Then he got up to play with his buddies (no cover) just out for the night playing while folks were eating. I felt kinda lame when it dawned on me who I had been talking to.
He obviously has never played with them before, not bad for just stepping up! Lighten up folks, it was fun for both of them and, lol, I do not think they care one tidbit what we all think! Sure would be AWESOME to be there and get some shots, probably once in a lifetime kind of thing ;)

It really bugs me when the camera doesn’t follow the guitar player but OK I get it I know I know Johnny Depp, Johnny Depp lol yup he’s good too. No disrespect. Glad cameraman caught Billy gibbons too, such a great.
He's kinda stayin in the shadows but Depp can play very well he has been playing over 20 years practices a lot and spends time jamming with a list of famous musicians .
In defense of Johnny (not that he needs it): He did fantastic considering there were at least 3 other guitarists up there playing. He was invited, so it would be rude for him to play too overpowering, except they did graciously offer him an opportunity to play solo for a bit & it was like "old hat" for him. Gooo Johnny!

sadly all the cameras are on depp instead of gibbons which is the only reason I would be their in the first place, not that seeing depp wouldn't be cool and all but his celebrity status is trumphing his inability to show any reasonable respect of musical intuition.

Johnny Depp is a talented actor but he needs to listen to Albert King, Albert Collins, Freddie King, T Bone Walker, Clarence "Gatemouth Brown", Johnny Copeland, and a few white guys like Johnny Winter, Jimmy Vaughn, and Anson Funderburgh before he ever gets on stage again and tries to play the Blues.................
