    Was at WVU between 1967 and 1972 and enjoyed living there during that time. Good walkable town and watched the PRT being constructed. Lots of trips to Coopers Rock area and Cheat Lake on weekends. Good times there although one morning going to class in January the air temperature was minus 20.

      It’s a great city to visit with all the amenities that are in it. Just about every popular nationwide restaurant chains such as Applebee’s, Olive Garden, Red Lobster, and Outback. As well as 3 nice size shopping centers with just about every store, and two Super Wal-marts. If you are into outdoor parks there is Cheat Lake and Cooper’s Rock just outside of town along I-68 East towards Cumberland, MD.

      There’s several shops and stores on both Evansdale Campus and Downtown campus to hang out at throughout the week to study at hang if you prefer a public space like I do.

      It’s a decent size city. Not too big or too small. It has just about everything. WVU, 2 hospitals, 3 or 4 shopping centers with plenty of stores and major restaurant chains, 2 high schools and several middle and elementary schools. There is the main city which this video shows and a few suburbs just outside of town. The Monongahela River flows through town and separates each side. It’s right along the boarders of Interstate 79 from North to South and I-68 East and West.

    • @erinm9568
      @erinm9568 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's true....when the downtown area was first designed, I don't think they could foresee how big Morgantown was actually going to get. Many improvements have been made but avoid the "downtown" area during rush hour. I do take exception to the infrastructure being poor. The population of the Morgantown area has greatly increased, just more and more people living out of the corporate limits.

    • @TheSWolfe
      @TheSWolfe 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's the WVU student population, which has continually increased over time, and nearly every student brings his/her car to Morgantown, making for heavy traffic Downtown especially during rush hours. The combination of residents commuting to/from work, high school students commuting to/from school & University students driving everywhere has increased both overcrowding & traffic congestion in Morgantown.
