for me, the stargazer is best 7 seater right now in its segment. if only Pinoys can look past the usual Toyota Honda Mitsu badge mentality, this car is a very good buy for its price and spacious cargo. ive seen this personally and i'm a 6 footer, the third row is VERY VERY spacious and comfortable even for my height compared to the veloz, expander, brv and even the wanna be 7 seaters like the fort, monty or everest.

I watched the Big Test video of Top Gear Philippines where they tested the Honda BR-V, the Hyundai Stargazer, the Mitsubishi Xpander Cross, and the Toyota Veloz. The Stargazer was an easy winner overall in the tests, winning all but three categories, and second place in those it didn't win. The testers were astonished when the Stargazer won the acceleration test, and easily won the braking test as well. They expected the BR-V to win both of those. While I'm a fan of 200+mm of ground clearance, 185mm is OK. For all the kit the Stargazer has, and its unique styling, it's easily my choice among the seven seater MPV/SUVs. Out of the four tested by Top Gear Philippines, only the Stargazer had rear aircon that actually worked properly to keep the second and third row passengers cool. Yet another win for the Stargazer.
I really don't feel the design of the stargazer compare to BR-V VX gen2 which much way better(for me). Others will chose the Stargazer for the sake of having a comfort seats, with huge luggage space where-in Honda developed BR-V as a compact MPV which why it is explainable to be tighter and less space. For a 1.5L gas engine with lower HP on Stargazer. That will define the downside of the vehicle. Stargazer owners expects a car that could handle a lot of weight when actually this could lead to a downside of the vehicle later on. (More repairs in the future! Let's wait and see) That's the reason why I think Honda really think what an MPV should look like and how it should be. They didn't go for a bigger spacious car(Even though they could!) to prevent the user to overlimit the max recommended weight for the car to survive in the next 10-15 years. This may be only my opinion that others may disagree but I am willing to sacrifice some space and less comfortability(not actually less, I've already experienced the BR-V trust me it's not bad but it's not the best) just for the sake to have a bulky spaceship looks. Well it's just a preference for the looks. Plus most Honda users are way more confident in terms of quality parts that was used to built the vehicle.

Price wise....they're more expensive....so even if you compare it with the top of the line......against space, comfort and price....the BRV and Veloz will still lose. specs wise lang sila mananalo. but are those specs very important vs space and comfort and price?

I live in a mountainous area with lots of twists and turns. I agree that the Stargazer seems better in terms of specs, price, and overall design. But the poor visibility (based on various reviews) and the angle of the pillar, which blocks the view on left turns, are dealbreakers.
As much as I dont like the Stargazer, compared to the BRV, it makes more sense as a MPV, and hey at least its not the Alcazar/Grand Creta, that thing is a car that doesnt know what it is and doesnt do anything well.
Stargazer beat BR-V in almost every category. Including acceleration 0-100 just like Creta beat HR-V, and Sonet or Raize beat WR-V. That honda engine only looks good on brochures. Not the best fuel consumption too

I've seen it here in Baroy, Lanao del Norte, Mindanao, atleast once or twice. At first, i was really amazed. It's very unique and rare to find in here. The color white one hits really different. I thought it was like a Tesla😂 a futuristic look.
The 2024 Stargazer X will have automatic (digital) climate control, ambient lighting, increased ground clearance of 200mm, 17-inch wheels, front parking sensors and an 8-speaker Bose sound system. It's coming to the PH in the last quarter of 2023. I'm waiting to buy it.
It's a mismatch in my opinion bec you should have use vx. Albeit that said, brv is really more expensive in all models and their monitor is not so sharp which i wonder why they have not improved on.
Stargazer: Hands down the winner by miles. The BR-V sadly is now very dated and is still being aimed at the over 60's, come on Honda its time to modernise and update the BR- series.
Ironic because the Stargazer's dashboard looks like from a car in the 80's. I wouldn't have minded it even if it subjectively looks ugly, but it even looks quite a bit large, to the point that it interferes with the vision of the driver to the road, and can be considered dangerous already. So not only does it looks odd, it's also impractical, and even dangerous to some extent. Dated, as you may say the BR-V's design is, at least it does work and is overall safe for everyone.
Obvious biased review from the start. Honda engines are ver reliable. I can still see old honda models 90s early 2000 running very fast on ph roads. Plus higher ground clearance for ph flood prone areas is much needed. Very safe and good visibility honda brv

hyundai should have made the full smartsense which has smart cruise control just like the adas & tja traffic jam assist combined like their palisade.. even if they uped the price just like sa honda brv vx
Not really worth it
Smartsense is not applicable for experienced drivers. Its just a distraction on driving
Bro, this host is funny! 😂 Love the punch lines haha
honda brv looks like a typical car, walang OA na mga accents, walang weird looking headlights nothing more, nothing less pwedeng pormahan upgrade ng rims/mags babagay.. si stargazer is futuristic look ung gusto nila ma achieve
ARMY ONCE si Jack 😂 🍪!!!!
yung mga bumili ng BR-V, the number 1 reason nila bakit nila binili yan is because it is a Honda.
I live in a mountainous area with lots of twists and turns. I agree that the Stargazer seems better in terms of specs, price, and overall design. But the poor visibility (based on various reviews) and the angle of the pillar, which blocks the view on left turns, are dealbreakers.
any chance u guys will cover the newly facelifted Toyota Rush GRS?
sana sabihin actual kpL
kapag puno ng pasahero.
at yung pakiramdam kapag paakyat na puno .
SALAMAT
As much as I dont like the Stargazer, compared to the BRV, it makes more sense as a MPV, and hey at least its not the Alcazar/Grand Creta, that thing is a car that doesnt know what it is and doesnt do anything well.
Stargazer beat BR-V in almost every category. Including acceleration 0-100 just like Creta beat HR-V, and Sonet or Raize beat WR-V. That honda engine only looks good on brochures. Not the best fuel consumption too
Really? How sure are you?
On other category, maybe. 0-100 or to top speed brv takes it evertime, be it warm or cold tires. But brv nvh is just ugghh

... The reviewers use rental units instead being sponsored by the brands directly, so it's more objective
@@michaeljanchan5975 yes the stargazer in the video is not directly matched with BR-V. But by default, the Creta beat HR-V non turbo models. And It's the Same engine and trans used in Stargazer and BR-V. Just like WR-V got beat by Sonet, with same engine and transmission. Also rocky and raize beat it too, in acceleration test. So wait for other reviewers there in phillipines to do exact comparison test
@@edzoyu what's the use of top speed if it's got limiter. Besides, you're not taking a 7 seater LMPV to a race track. 0-100 is what most people use max on daily basis
That's the thickest bezel I've ever seen. Nope, it's not small matter. As a driver of 6 others life, I need to focus on the road. I can't focus when a thick bezel is always in front of me. In addition, it's ugly. Korean brand is like French brand. Always too quirkies 🤦🏻
Jack with the Kpop references on the Korean car? Good stuff, give that man a raise!
For me i prefer the BRV
The KPop references is 🔥🔥
Xpander ftw! 🙌🏼
Wlang nag tanong
Underpower po expander eto po usapan ng mga nasa top sa segment.. expander po nasa baba lang yan
Now comin X variant, beating BRV further
the shut up Shreck caught me in this wiitty Video of Caco. laugh out loud
Ur definition of witty is a little suspect

Stargazer design looks trying for being futuristic...
I hope stargazer will get more love in the road, so far I haven't seen one yet.
Seeing a lot of them here in Baguio, 3-5 of them everytime I drive around the city center.
dito sa amin bigla nag sulputan mga naka stargazer. Maganda itsura nito sa personal.
I've seen it here in Baroy, Lanao del Norte, Mindanao, atleast once or twice. At first, i was really amazed. It's very unique and rare to find in here. The color white one hits really different. I thought it was like a Tesla😂 a futuristic look.
Unfortunately the Philippines spec Stargazer doesn't get digital A/C and ambient light
Digital aircon of it isn't that great as its buttons are so small
The 2024 Stargazer X will have automatic (digital) climate control, ambient lighting, increased ground clearance of 200mm, 17-inch wheels, front parking sensors and an 8-speaker Bose sound system. It's coming to the PH in the last quarter of 2023. I'm waiting to buy it.
"ahhh shut up shreck" lmaooooo. Great review as always. And i do agree that the Stargazer is the superior mpv. Brv is very boring.
Hyundai Stargazer Dashboard vs any other Dashboards
Honda=timeless
Still waiting for the HRV-S review
It's a mismatch in my opinion bec you should have use vx. Albeit that said, brv is really more expensive in all models and their monitor is not so sharp which i wonder why they have not improved on.
coz they're jst banking on the Honda badge to convince Pinoys it's a better buy LOL
@@ericksonong what's with the Honda badge ba? LOL
For anyone looking for the look of an SUV with the utility of an MPV, I guess the BR-V is the one for you.
Simple choice is yours! Between Hyundai or Honda?cheers!
I see a persistent review/feature of Hyundai cars right now 🤔🤔
But taller is taller 😂😂😂😂😂
safety feature-wise, honda sensing is the best
cay-co!
TLDR, Performance, and looks BR-V. the rest goes to Stargazer
Dashboard looks really off... Which dashboard? Obvious naman!
Download 😤
The hell i care! I just love my brv than that alien spaceship stargazer.😅
Salty si kuya. Take the L, dude.
@@troy5568feeling mayaman lang no? 😅😅😅
Puro kyo specs....sa looks pa lng brv na agad pipiliin dyan hehe...tiis ganda
Obvious biased review from the start. Honda engines are ver reliable. I can still see old honda models 90s early 2000 running very fast on ph roads. Plus higher ground clearance for ph flood prone areas is much needed. Very safe and good visibility honda brv
Just because it doesn't favor the other brand? Then if it does, does that make it unbiased then?
Its really hard to beat HONDA
The Stargazer did. Iba ba tayo ng napanood? 😂😂😂
wake up dude!
