"You'll suddenly realize how beautiful the real world is".
YES! This was my thought exactly! Apple Vision Pro allows me to immerse myself in situations I may never get to do on my own (like tightrope walking at insane heights), but you come out of it realizing how magical real life actually is because of the full human experience, not just a 3D illusion.
So glad you pointed that out.
I own one and very much appreciate your perspectives.
Have you tried the passthrough with the room lights turned on? Passthrough is very dependent on lighting.
Yes, I have. It’s still quite bad. Oddly enough screen recordings of it look better.
Well done review. Editing, writing, all of it was thoughtful and thorough.
Thank you!
Nice Review. Good Job!!!
Thanks!
Great Review! As it ages it will get better with time.
Hope so!
It definitely need more apps built for it. I can really imagine that it can be a workout device, room measurement, security cameras, reminder, solutions, and so on
Michael,
Such a great review! I pre-ordered my Apple Vision Pro, still waiting, hopefully soon. I have a very specific use case for wanting one and many may think it's overkill for what the Vision Pro costs, but for enthusiasts who spend the same amounts of money on a particular niche, the Apple Vision Pro aligns.
3D Movies and 3D content are the main reasons I decided to get the device. I've spent so much money on projectors, region free Bluray players, expensive imported films not available in the states, and all that together rivals the cost of the Vision Pro. Just my current projector alone is $3000 (when I got it on sale), and though it looks spectacular viewing 3D content (on a 120" screen), its projected image pales in comparison to an OLED system, which the Vision Pro has. And then there's the upgrade aspect beyond that, with the bump in many 3D movies on the Apple Vision pro, remastered at 4K whereas my current system, 3D Blurays, max output at 1080p. 180 3D content, which I experience on my Oculus Go (yes, I'm still rockin' that old VR headset), can't even come close to 8K experiences on the Apple Vision Pro. And sure, the new Meta Quest and other VR headsets can do 3D movies and 180 3D VR content, but I want the best of the best, and the Apple Vision Pro seems to be it when it comes to consumer headsets. And who can forget those Apple Vision Pro environments! Watching movies on the freakin' moon, sign me up!
For some use case enthusiasts with the cash, I think the Apple Vision Pro will fit the bill. I don't think there is a "fit all" device, at least I've never seen one, but people will argue their preference until the cows come home. I tend to like to do things that feel right for me.
And I know this is unrelated to the Apple Vision Pro, but I see you rockin' Big Blue and the iiRcade! Great home arcade choices! Home Arcade stuff has been the focus of my channel. Love it!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the Apple Vision Pro. I have that 14 day window to try it out and see if its a worthy 3D content upgrade from what I have now. Fingers crossed :)
Have a good one!

You can now visit the Grand Canyon without getting ummm…palm sweaty (heights). Good review of the Vision Pro.
Lessss gooo on a roadtrip!!!!
Yessssss and anywhere….wait VR or outside the house? 😂
Great video. Worth the time you took.
Much appreciated!
don't you think the Guest mode can be used to invite other uses using a Vision Pro to share environment?
It's possible. I think it would be silly not to enable such a feature. I'm excited as I feel that we've barely scratched the surface of what the Vision Pro can actually do.
The AVP is easily the best piece of hardware engineering ever created.
Environments looks to be pretty immersive for "chilling" out. Maybe meditating. that kind of thing.
Yes absolutely! I’ve actually done that quite a few times and it’s really immersive.
I have a Mac. Since it’s not movable I have a question: How far can you work on your Mac using Vision Pro? Let’s say Mac is in one of the rooms but you want to work from the living room. Is it possible?
Oh, & I liked your review btw 💪🏻
This is a GREAT question! I’ll have to try and see and will report back. Thank you for watching!
@@MichaelSoledad thank you for sharing your video & opinion.
I’m pretty sure it will mirror the screen as long as you are on the same WiFi network. The problem is you have to use a mouse and keyboard to control your mirrored Mac in the Vision Pro. So I assume your mouse/keyboard Bluetooth connection will be the limiting factor in how far away you can be from your desktop Mac
Yes it works. I was able to go about down the hall in another room and it worked fine. As soon as I went to another level of the house it started to loose signal
@@tj10777 I'm certain you are correct. I want to test it out for myself too
You CAN trim videos in the Vision Pro. Open a video and go up to the menu in the upper right corner of the window and select "Trim". One more thing...I have no trouble reading text on my iPhone using pass through. I suggest you check your optical setup. I am 79 years old and use reader Ziess lenses. This makes everything razor sharp.
Oh thanks for the tip! Also, I may need reading glasses then.
Bonus points for watching the usher Super Bowl performance lol.
I paused the part where you are showing text messages at 14:18 and was a bit surprised you were texting in Filipino. I think you've did an excellent job reviewing the AVP. First time to watch a kababayan to review this amazing piece of hardware. A tad bit expensive but who knows, prices might drop in the next generations? Gagana kaya sa Pilipinas? haha. Keep up the great work. Your videos are topnotch
Salamat kabayan! I don't see why hindi gagana sa Pilipinas. I'm curious how Apple plans to sell this globally as I'm already seeing a lot of people returning their Vision Pro's because of any real practical use. Sana may update soon.
sure kabayan im also seeing a lot of people spending hours upon hours on the vision pro where previously thought they can only spend no more than ten minutes.. so i guess a ten minutes spent on vision pro is equivalent to ten hours EASY.. okay review mo pare pero madami din hate talaga pag dating sa apple.. @@MichaelSoledad
Salamat! Yes, Hindi talaga mawawala mga haters pero ok lang kse passionate talaga mga tao sa kanilang mga favorite products 😄
The best review of Vision Pro that I’ve seen so far. Any possibility to connect to a windows PC?
Thank you! I haven’t tested it yet but as far as I know you cannot connect it to a windows PC
There's no Steam VR on this. So you won't get Google Earth VR which is a major bummer as that is mind blowing on the Quest.
Crazy good intro.
Wow 😳
lol I have 2 quest 2’s and 2 quest ‘s and a quest one. There is no comparison from Vision Pro to quest. One is a Bentley the other is a Honda civic. Sure there both cars that drive that’s about it. If your like games get the quest. If you want best vr money can buy than get Vision Pro
best VR would require immersive places to go not just playing with spatial computing. PS VR 2 offers way more than Apple vision pro as far as VR is concerned
It's not just games that are missing though. There's no Google Earth VR on AVP. That is a mind blowing experience on the Quest that is missing on the AVP.
I think the problem that people have is that it's 3,500 and all it offers people is a way to use technically your cell phone or computer with spatial computing. most people would rather not have a headset on and just use their cell phone or use their computer. as far as VR is concerned or immersion is concerned. Apple vision pro only offers productivity but not much in terms of vr immersion. the quest and the PS VR 2 offer a huge lineup of immersive titles
This would absolutely be a great investment if it automatically came with remote job offers. I can see this being worth the price for those who make essential content or who work from home. But at some point I'd need a break. For me personally right now I'd mainly use it for watching movies 🤔
A Dystopia is:
a society characterized by human misery, as squalor, oppression, disease, and overcrowding.
Where does the “Dystopian Future” piece come into play with the Apple Vision Pro?
I’m sorry that is your only takeaway from the 20 min video. I’ll try not to disappoint with my titles next time.
Did kids just curious to try Vision Pro ???
What kids?
Vision Pro is a dud without a MacBook nearby. No productivity without lugging around an external computer. Overpriced movie player.
From the standpoint of it only being a movie player, yes it is overpriced. But it is clearly more than that.
It runs iCloud, Files, Microsoft Office, iWork, Mail, Messages, Safari, FaceTime, SharePlay, Zoom, Teams, and WebEx. Holdout devs notwithstanding, you can also fall back on the iOS library of literally 1 million apps. You can run them in your space or in a nature environment conducive to focus. It enables infinite screen real estate where you can leave all apps open "Full screen".
Obviously everyone has different needs and you might have something specific that you need on macOS; that's perfectly valid. But don't speak for everyone or make blanket statements like "no productivity". That's simply untrue.
it's easy to hate any apple product, because they suck
lol
Can’t afford them?
Apple are pioneers in all. You have the iPhones, iPads, computers , headphones and now the Vision Pro technology . Nothing surpasses Apple in all this . I work traveling around the world and in any train any subway any bus that I take there hundreds of Apple devices. The must be a reason.!!!!!!!!!
@@LuisGarcia-nc8pg the reason is called bandwagon - android, windows, linux, among many others are all other options which work better and have far more customization with a way lower price tag. sorry, try again.
@@paulrevere1479 I choose not to buy such a shit product, instead I opt for devices with functionality and customization that work far better at a lower price tag. it's called smart shopping, you should try it sometime.
