This was essentially a blindside to the audience, in the best way. Had no clue this was coming!

They told us all December there will be supplemental episodes, so not really a blindside.
The subtlety with which Gooch Pooch threw in "crack rock" while listening to Andrew attempt to justify his lunacy really got me.

Not even a mention of "Ernest Saves Christmas". The scene of Ernest flying the sleigh is still one of my favorite movie moments.
A lot of great picks, but Nick's draft is absolutely cracked.
The draft order selection is like if in the hunger games, katniss already gets picked first and still goes "I volunteer!"
I'm no Hunger Games nerd but doesn't her younger sister get picked and that's why she volunteers? Or am I crazy

The fact that in a Christmas movie draft, with 20 choices, that there wasn't a single stop motion movie like Rudolph or Year without a Santa clause is insane to me

Gavin with the last worst take of the year by saying Santa Clause is a bad movie. For shame Gavin, for shame.
Andrew is 100% correct. There are better positions to be in. 1 and 5 pick back to back.
I relate to Andrew's Christmas vacation story so hard, I did the EXACT same thing

All I know is if "It's a wonderful life" and "Muppets Christmas Carrol" aren't in this list, it's essentially invalid.

Nightmare Before Christmas is a Christmas movie and I will die on this hill!! None of the movie takes place on Halloween, it all takes place from Nov 1st until Christmas. The message of the movie is about believing in who you are and loving yourself and seeing joy in the things around you. A distinctly Christmas message.
I'm only halfway through and Gavin already wins with Die Hard and The Snowman.
Thank you Andrew! Emmet Otter FTW. This was the definitive Christmas movie for me growing up in the 80's.

That movie was a staple in my household growing up.
#1 for me, Eight Crazy Nights, which is a half Hanukkah half Christmas movie.

My local supermarket has its Christmas playlist on now and one of the songs on it, unironically, is the Christmas Is All Around Me horrible Bill Nighy desperate parody song from Love Actually.
What I think is really nice about Emmet Otter is that the Nightmare sings a song about how bad they are, and they win the song contest. The people of the sleepy little town thought it was really cool.

I didn't appreciate Geoffs bit at first. It grew on me though when I figured out the real point of it. I thought he was just picking hallmark movies as a meme, but then it clicked when they read all the names off next to each other. It also made a lot more sense as to how Gavin could have guessed the name right.

For Our Christmas concert this year, we had 'The Snowman' playing on screens while we played the score live. Even had a little boy come out and sing 'Flying Through the Air.'

I like the live action Jim Kerry Grinch mostly I like the character they gave Cindy and Jim Kerry was just having fun. But The old cartoon is the definitive classic version. Can't beleive no frosty or claymation rudolph though. Eric with Grinch and Nick with Muppets had the best lists if you ask me. Gavin had a real dark horse last pick though. Though thinking bout it Eric cuz he also had charlie brown. Least in my book.
