Same. Mine never punched through the fire wall but my welds on the pedal assembly cracked. I found that if you let it go too long the clutch starts to not fully disengage and you scorch the flywheel. I replaced everything clutch related to start with a clean slate and bought the rallytek brace to prevent future failure.
This only happens to me if I'm stuck in stop and go for a while and everything is heat soaked. I don't have any movement of my bar like yours. Maybe I should try dot 4 instead of 3?
Not in this case, that wasn't the main factor. That was replaced which had some wear. The reason it was stinking was the pedal assembly split on the rod.
Alot of patience is needed because you will be laying under the dash struggling. I had to disconnect a few electrical harnesses to clear the pedal lassembly out.
I am chasing the same problem on a 09 wrx as well. Repaired the spot welds. Still had firewall flex by the clutch master cylinder so I ordered the brace. Seeing your issue now I'm thinking pedal assembly is next inline for me. Did you get it installed, and did it fix the squeak?
Yeah, that did the trick. No squeak or pedal issues anymore. Hopefully that may fix your issue. It is very frustrating until you figure out the problem.

Thanks for the good input. Luckly, I replaced the whole system shortly before this happened.
This happens on a lot of Subarus that I see. Good job buddy.
Unbelievable, and thanks for the input.

Sounds more like a mechanical problem than just fluid. Maybe even your clutch line collapsing internally?
You can’t just change the Clevis pin itself? It looks like the pin would be worn down with that slop

Any good advice on that first part you replaced

Good to know. By the way, did you add the ITS bracket by chance? I'm considering adding it as well to support the pedal assembly.
@@shanemcdowell5871 No, just the the curcuit sports brace. Pedal is solid.
