Love the 2CV. Love the joy it brings to you and everyone you meet. I have just gone power hungry for my 1990 Charleston. Replaced the 602 cc 29 hp with a Big Bore 652 cc Burton rebuilt 2CV engine plus Power Tube.... 34 hp and top speed of 120 kph on the flat. No longer can I say to the policeman..."Can I have a credit for all the times I cannot reach the speed limit uphill.
I'm kinda happy Chris Harris left /DRIVE & I believe it's going to have a huge impact on their channel and especially for /DRIVE+ But I can't wait till Chris starts his new channel and see what he's going to do!
Chris was the only reason I subscribed to drive plus. His departure, the lack of new content and the rehashing of old vids will see many people cancel their subscription, me included
This car's a legend, this is what it is. My 59 AZLP was my very first car 30 years ago and I still have it, still drive it very frequently, still love it. I've had my first fine driving to fast driving it, I was 18 and I drove at 62mph (no, not a joke... 😅). She ran fine, it's still the case.. Mr Harris (who I really appreciate, one of the very best car journalists) is so right telling you always have something to think about or do in it. It's pure fun, you never get bored. Try this Citroën if you ever have a chance to, you won't regret. 😊 Thanks for sharing this video.
This is the mark of a true car enthusiast - he likes the “full spectrum”, from insane performance cars to primitive and slow basic vehicles like the 2CV. I’ve always told my friends that to me a “car enthusiast is someone who has a Ferrari 550 Maranello and a Citroen 2CV in their garage and enjoys driving both of them.”
Please try posting multi-part series STARTING with the last part in the series then they will play sequentially on TH-cam, since youtube lists the newest uploads first - so in other words - start with Part 4, then 3, then 2, then 1 and they'll play in order. LOVE the content though - Thank you for the uploads!
The original CHRIS HARRIS ON CARS video was so much better than that, and its blocked because of copyright. What a shame. I understand Chris wanting to make some cash, but deleting old content is a no - no. Living abroad I dont have any means watching Chris Harris' content, so that's it. Congratulations.
Please bring this to Top Gear. How about a complete Top Gear episode based on the 2CV and all her derivatives? Try to impress Matt LeBlanc, convert him to the 2CV life.
Drive said from the start that the NBC Sport's episodes would be released here after NBC Sports gave them approval. Drive is just keeping their word for once. Why must we continue to bitch when they do something right?
Nice review... really illustrates the fun of driving characterful slow cars quickly... or in this case, a bit faster than slow. As an aside, Chris, where were you when they were auditioning for the Freddie Mercury bio-pic? Grow your hair out a bit, stick on a tash and grab a half length mic stand and it's Live Aid all over again...
DEAR /Drive.... I bought into the idea of a subscription to help you guys out, because the content that you uploaded month to month used to be great. Now it has really slacked, and I just cant do it anymore, since I have paid the subscription there hasnt been ONE memorable video... I can go to EVO for free, and they have Jethro Bovington which is every bit as good as Chris Harris, Harry Metcalfes garage is also amazing... AND FREE... When you decide to step it up ill come back but goodbye for now. P.S. heres to hoping Chris Harris left for real, and will upload his own stuff for free!!!
So let me get this straight, /DRIVE, Chris Harris, the one-and-only tyre destroyer that made all that "expensive to produce content", has left /DRIVE to produce more tyre-destroying videos on YT, the platform that pays so poorly, and he will do so without a paywall? Really? So what do I get now for $4 a month, a bunch of guys that talk about cars, drive other people's cars around at the expense of the owners and make us pay for it? You have no more selling point as of now.
Want quality FREE car content to watch? Just go MotorTrend or EVO TV, they produce excellent vids and aren't charging. Really don't see why Drive insist on payment for a few short videos a month, I could understand if it was hours, but it's minutes :(

This is my favorite Chris Harris Video ever.

Its in gorgeous condition. Its also brilliant to see the passion Chris has for this spectacular car!
This is an enthusiast driving an enthusiast car on its limit. Love the slowmotion cornering
So if you fall asleep at the wheel, it will stop at the next hill😂. Love the car, nice one 👍
Fun fact: 3:02 isn't even shot with slow mo. The car is actually going that speed :p
LOL
the slow motion corner was the greatest thing I've seen in my life.
I'm kinda happy Chris Harris left /DRIVE & I believe it's going to have a huge impact on their channel and especially for /DRIVE+ But I can't wait till Chris starts his new channel and see what he's going to do!

Was great to see this car again on the latest Top Gear episode
That inside wheel wobble at 2:50 looks pretty scary! Probably best it doesn't do more than 45mph lol!

I come back to this once in a while 😊
Came from the latest Top Gear. Real heart for this one.
what happened to the full version of this vid? that was a great film
My 1966 Moskvich is similar in that sort of driving experience :D
I've loved this side of Chris Harris, never thinked that he has one XD
The best car ever, my first car Ami 8, second 2 CV, will buy used one before going to pension. It is my dream turnip!
I feel like i've seen this before.
yeah, me too...lol
I think I've seen it about 30 times, this is my favourite of his videos. This one has different music though!
Alfred Munkenbeck
awww yiss!! New tunes!
Superb piece of filming. Really enjoyed it.
Same for me with the first gen twingo.

Surprised this was uploaded. Harris has left /DRIVE!
he left the drive guys hanging so bad. it will certainly kill drive+ and probably free /drive too
This one is really under powered
They made more powerful versions of this car ^^

Try to impress Matt LeBlanc, convert him to the 2CV life.
You got your wish. Check out the latest episode if you haven't yet
The outer front wheel wobble at 2.50 is a sure sign of worn kingpins. Ooops.
The amount of wobble on that front wheel during your slo-mo corner is frightening - get your track rod ends or kingpins sorted out Mr Harris!
thats the tire flexing
no it's not!
It looks like it to me, have you ever seen an old car tire skip like that before?
Yep. I own a 2CV too and the front wheel will do that if the track rod end or kingpins have too much wear or play in them.
Tim Robson Thin tyres can do that on their own.
I think the natural editing point for end of Part 2 start of Part 3 was at the end of the voice over introduction.
Time to get a set of Michelin X radials...
There is a documentary called Pritty Dyana about this car. Amazing story. Beautiful car ! Liked your perspective about it.
I love the sound! But I cant buy because I would prefer to buy a new car I can drive everyday and not just for fun.
I would like to see him do a nordschleife lap in 602cc 2cv
You don't want to be in an accident in one of these things
Deja vu anyone ?
There really is no point in being subbed to Drive+, is there?
Drive said from the start that the NBC Sport's episodes would be released here after NBC Sports gave them approval. Drive is just keeping their word for once. Why must we continue to bitch when they do something right?
I was talking about Drive+, the paid-for channel. This isn't it.

Spammed with re uploads is enough, time for the long coming unsub
It's a whole new thing.

Drive oh Drive, you used to be one of the best TH-cam channels. Boy did you fuck up
