Don't allow your Ford 3 cyl engine sensors to become dirty or clogged (especially the MAP sensor) If you find your Ecoboost MAP sensor has become clogged, be sure to investigate if your Ford 3 Cyl Oil Separator and PCV Valve needs cleaning. These systems are all inter-related and problems with one is often accompanied by problems with another.

At 00:30 you show turning the sensor anticlockwise with ease. I tried and the tab prevents it from turning? I was afraid I would break something and gave up. Is there a trick to releasing the tab?

The first sensor you pulled is not the MAF. it is a temperature sensor. ford part ds7a12a697-aa

Not yet. I had to wait quite a while for the dashcam power supply (it needs a type C power lead) as a generic micro USB one wouldn't do. And right now she's parked up with no MoT and needing a clutch. She's going to Malcolm Miles in Leicester on 11th April for a clutch (they are well busy). With the clutch slipping I can't take her for a MoT because might not get her off the brake rollers or on the ramp. I pretty much burned the clutch out making the "clutch slipping" short video!

I have a 2015 Taurus SHO, which has the eco-boost engine. Are those sensors in similar spots? Do you know?
I have a 2019 escape so the model before this one but my mass air flow sensor does not budge if I try to turn it. It’s not bolted in and it looks very similar to this one but when I try to twist it, it does not move and it seems as though I will break it.
I since discovered that there is a small plastic tab on the sensor that you have to lift up on allowing you to turn it. After lifting up on that I was able to turn it 1/4 turn and then after some wiggling and hard pulling it came right out: I think it was stuck in place a little because of the O-ring on it.
the first sensor is not MAF it is air temp sensor.

1.6? that'll be the duratec engine. Same process for the sensors but they'll be in different places on the engine

Any idea where the Barometric pressure sensor on a 2015 Ford Focus se not 1 auto store and even ford doesn’t know anything about it.. I’m getting code p2230. I just can’t find it anywhere
It may not have one. Most cars take a barometric reading from the MAP upon ignition on and use that reading once running.

Did you use the mass airflow sensor cleaner for all three items?
I usually use brake cleaner or carb/throttle body cleaner. Or even soak in meths for an hour and then swish it about in the container (just don't touch the actually sensor). You can buy MAF cleaner, but the blarney on the tin is marketing hype. You don't need anything special, except that it MUST LEAVE NO residue.

I have a 2015 Mustang v6. I believe it doesn’t have a MAF sensor, instead it is a MAP sensor. Should I use MAF cleaner or Carb/Throttle cleaner?
@@AMfever00either will do the job just fine. Make sure it says on the can that it leaves no residue (or on the manufacturers website).
Blow it dry when you're done and sit the sensor in a warm place for 10 mins to dry.
If you've got to buy it, go for MAF cleaner.

NO, NO and thrice NO. You must use a solvent cleaner that LEAVES NO RESIDUE.
