If a Investigation into this proves their was hostility from the cop upon Floyd from their jobs, obviously Floyd's murder very well could of been pre planned therefore it would justify 1st. degree murder. Not sure if a person with a history of violence trying to get a police man's gun with the story being corroborated by a few witness is an innocent victim... the unjust death of a person is surely wrong but no excuse for burning and looting... if so what you want is not justice but revenge. Clark had previous encounters with law enforcement, beginning in 2010 when he received a felony conviction for first-degree aggravated robbery.[2] The conviction resulted in a sentence of 41 months in prison, of which it is unclear how many Clark served.[3] Clark faced a second conviction for terroristic threats[2] after he threatened to burn down the apartment of an ex-girlfriend in March 2015, following a bitter breakup. According to Kyle Potter of the Associated Press, "He threw a brick through his ex-girlfriend's window and threatened to burn her apartment unit down -- leaving behind a trail of lighter fluid to prove it, according to court documents."[1] As of November 2015, he was on probation for this crime. Domestic Abuse No Contact Order was issued for Clark, requiring him to stay away from the ex-girlfriend until 2020.[4] Additionally, Clark was awaiting trial for a high-speed chase arrest from July 2015.[1] Jamar Clark was attending the birthday party of Nekelia Sharp, who was hosting the event at her apartment on the 1600 block of Plymouth Avenue North in Minneapolis.[5] Sharp and her husband engaged in a dispute and Clark's girlfriend grabbed Sharp, after which Sharp and Clark's girlfriend fought.[5] Clark stepped in to pull his girlfriend away and, according to Sharp, Clark's girlfriend hit him.[5] The pair left and soon, someone called for help and paramedics were called.[5] Sharp let them into her apartment and they escorted Clark's girlfriend to the ambulance, which Clark approached after she had entered it.[5] An onlooker reported that both the paramedics and police who had arrived at the scene asked Clark to step away from the ambulance and that police then stepped from their car, arrested Clark on the ground, and the EMS supervisor placed a knee on Clark's chest, after which point he was shot.[5] County Attorney accounts say that Clark got into a confrontation with paramedics and then when police officers responded at 12:45 a.m., a "struggle" ensued, Clark obtained the officer's gun, leading to the shooting by the other officer. Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman said that Clark was resisting and was not handcuffed.[6] In a statement on November 16, police chief Janeé Harteau said that the Minneapolis Police Department's preliminary information was that Clark was not restrained with handcuffs when shot.[7] The President of the Minneapolis Police Union Bob Kroll said that Clark was actively resisting arrest and tried to take the weapon of one of the officers, and that he was not handcuffed at the moment of the shooting.[8][9] Clark's DNA was found on the handle of one of the officers' gun. Mike Freeman said there was no forensic evidence on Clark's arm indicating he was handcuffed at the time of shooting. In addition, he stated that 10 law enforcement and paramedic witnesses including the officers involved said he was not handcuffed.[10]

He(the officer arrested) looked like he was not even there anymore..just demonized he stole, killed and destroyed that man's Hope's and dreams and rights of any chance of ever living one more day to get up and try....The fact that they(the officer and Mr.Floyd) worked together for over 15 years may have played a part in premeditation..when he had his knee on Mr. Floyd neck..Then he took out a weapon until Mr. Floyd died to keep others from stopping him... This kind of brutality should have been addressed a long time ago through legislative measures...Why are we the public paying legislators who cannot guarantee freedom and justice for ALL..Where is our American pledge?? Everyone is mad about the tragic death, but there is Due Process. Everything has to be handled the right way. There is a reason why it took a while to make the arrest. Not all police are bad, most are nice people. Police know they are not above the law, this is just trying create anger.

@Debra Clark 1st. Degree would be impossible as it was not pre planned or the officers would of went straight to Floyd and not to the store at all. But there is no reason that 2nd. degree murder charges could not of been applied. Now there is a chance that 1st. degree murder charges could of been applied based on what Floyd's employer stated on both Floyd and the cop that murdered him both were employed giving security services for the nightclub and the cop had personal issues with Floyd prior. If a Investigation into this proves their was hostility from the cop upon Floyd from their jobs, obviously Floyd's murder very well could of been pre planned therefore it would justify 1st. degree murder. But nobody known both were working at the club until after his murder.
We do need justice! I’m tired of police brutality too. Those 4 cops need to be put in jail for their actions ASAP.
Oh and for you rioters, using George Floyd’s name as an excuse to commit arson, destroying public properties and looting stores of the innocents in your neighborhood, y’all should be behind bars too. Y’all are criminals.

Nor should the death of any human from a officer sworn to uphold the law. Serve and protect. Not shoot and choke out. This turmoil is caused by a lack of proper checks and balances of force doled out by officers who feel they have the right to do as they please without repercussions.

Domestic Abuse No Contact Order was issued for Clark, requiring him to stay away from the ex-girlfriend until 2020.[4] Additionally, Clark was awaiting trial for a high-speed chase arrest from July 2015.[1]
Jamar Clark was attending the birthday party of Nekelia Sharp, who was hosting the event at her apartment on the 1600 block of Plymouth Avenue North in Minneapolis.[5] Sharp and her husband engaged in a dispute and Clark's girlfriend grabbed Sharp, after which Sharp and Clark's girlfriend fought.[5] Clark stepped in to pull his girlfriend away and, according to Sharp, Clark's girlfriend hit him.[5] The pair left and soon, someone called for help and paramedics were called.[5] Sharp let them into her apartment and they escorted Clark's girlfriend to the ambulance, which Clark approached after she had entered it.[5] An onlooker reported that both the paramedics and police who had arrived at the scene asked Clark to step away from the ambulance and that police then stepped from their car, arrested Clark on the ground, and the EMS supervisor placed a knee on Clark's chest, after which point he was shot.[5]
County Attorney accounts say that Clark got into a confrontation with paramedics and then when police officers responded at 12:45 a.m., a "struggle" ensued, Clark obtained the officer's gun, leading to the shooting by the other officer.

I agree, we are all tired of the abuse. Im a white male who lived in st Paul for 5 years. Right off grand Ave. After a night of drinking things got loud outside a Jimmy John's parking lot and my group decided to leave the area and go home. We got a block away and 4-5 cop cars came right at us. Yelled at us to get up against the wall. We did, as they got close to us, one yelled. "Don't do anything to them, there are cameras" who knows what they would have done to us...

Wanted that officer to be drug tested the moment he got back to that station, wanted that officer apprehended and charged expeditiously when he went into the station..Wanted someone in authority to stop that officer at the door in his way out of the police station and ask him "where di you think you going?" .Wanted someone to show him the jail cell he would be in until further notice.....Wanted that officer to know is not ok to go home and watch a few movies, have a meal, all comfortable and relaxed like, oh well...I took someone's life and I dare you to "say something"... want to know did that officereven get drug tested once back at the station??? He had a few days to clean his system??? Want someone to notice that people are tired of being treated inhumane, made to watch as someone is killed right in front of them and threatened if they try to stop it....God knows I am not saying that the looters and fire setters are right...It is like if you didn't care about what has been given for them to endure, they are saying we don't care either..And I an not saying it is right...But swift action should have been taken, immediately, expeditiously, and one could guarantee this would not be happening right now....However, why is there such hesitation on charging the rest of the officers?? We want the officers drug tests??? Why has there been no drug test to the officers expeditiously?? Had to quote that everyday, for what?? You cannot see it being fulfilled...The people are hurt and just tired..This is how they think they get heard..they are frustrated...I don't understand it (the looting). But legislation needs to be adjusted and enacted with someone in Power to stand up and say so..While they are passing bills in the legislature why not pass this one:
AMERICANS RIGHT TO LIVE WHILE IN HANDCUFFS....
