    Excellent vlog David, with fantastic panoramic views. Went up there from Crafnat last year, I can't climb like I used to but Crimpiau was within my capabilities. You get a lot of bang for your bucks with the climb to Crimpiau, well worth a visit.

      Hello John, yes you're quite right it's not too difficult to get there but when you do it's well worth it. Judging by the feedback on this one hopefully I've managed to give quite a few photographers an idea which they can make the most of. Which is really what this channel is all about. Thank you ever so much for watching and taking the time to get in touch. And if you ever spot me out and about don't hesitate to come and say Hello 😊👍

    What a delightful video! My pet owl says, "D.Griff is a real hoot!" I really enjoy the way your enthusiasm comes across. You and I share the same joy in just being there and probably the same satisfaction when I end up with a good image or two. I haven't been to Wales since 1970 and I really appreciate hearing someone properly pronounce the Welsh place names. Well done, David. You are always welcome to visit me in Arizona. • @DGriffGallery
      @DGriffGallery  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You're quite right Brian that stabilisation is really handy, being an old school photographer I sometimes overdo it with the ISO because that was all we used to have available! I have to remind myself that the stabilisation is doing a pretty solid job, although I was getting quite heavily blown about on this particular shoot! 😊👍

    Thank you for returning to my laptop I was beginning to wonder what had happened to you, I think everybody has a tripod and it seems only the bloggers ever use them, so it was interesting to see you do a shoot without a tripod and the resulting pictures just prove my point you dont always need one unless you use a slow shutter speed why bother using a tripod.......I loved the cloud detail you captured they appeared so dramatic in your pictures with a little help from P/S, where would we be I wonder without all the tools now we have at our disposal.....thank you so much for taking us with you and for the short demo in P/S it was most enjoyable......The next few weeks will be a learning curve for everybody with this terrible virus thats going around, do take care! Hi David, yes there was I thinking that it was mountain climbing season again and dusting off my camping gear, and now I'm left with staring out of the back windows of the house across to the mainland where Snowdon stares back at me and I can't do a thing about it! But I really did enjoy this trip out, and I really appreciate you being good enough to watch and leave your very generous feedback. Many thanks 😊👍

      D Griff Gallery Hi. Thank you. I live in North Wales, but nearer Chester. I would jump in the car with the dog once or twice each week, and go to Snowdonia or Anglesey with my camera gear. In fact, I know Aberffraw and Llyn Coron quite well too. 😉It’s only been a short time and already I miss it. The last time I was there, I knew this was coming, and I drove up to Pen y Pass in tears, then went to Dinorwic and stood on the walkway in tears. My family were from Gerlan, and as a kid I spent a lot of time around the area. It’s the land of my fathers....quite literally. Stay safe.

    Beautiful images! I noticed you didn't trust your IBIS for lower ISO's/shutter speeds in your photographs with no foreground elements, or, you weren't bothered to adjust your ISO because of the weather conditions, or, you were just playing it safe :). I recon you could have gotten away with ISO 200, without any blur in a couple of your photographs, despite the wind (photos without foreground).
    If you are up for a photo challenge, I suggest you try hand holding moderate to long exposures with your Olympus set up! In certain situations I bet you could get tack sharp images with exposures longer than 1 second. I am talking from personal experience, since I am fortunate to have the same camera/lens set up as yourself.
    Keep up the great work and stay safe!

      Hello Jay, thank you ever so much for watching. You make a good point about the stabilisation, being an old school photographer I sometimes forget that I have it available. It's a habit to rack up the ISO. Although that said I'm always conscious of image quality and I find that I can be quite aggressive with ISO on this particular camera and not suffer too much in the way of noise. Also I was being buffeted around quite heavily by the wind so I think even decent stabilisation would've struggled at a slow shutter speed. My record handheld shutter speed in flat calm is four seconds to get a sharp image with this camera! 😊👍
