Great game tho. When u play it makes u wonder where did her brother go.
Thanks for the info about that, I always wondered about it as well. Man, that must have sucked for her. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I've been in a so called "haunted" place once. It was very, eerie, discomforting and I could feel and sense as though I was constantly being watched and was unwelcomed. Whatever it was, I shouldn't have gone there. Fortunately, when I left the property I didn't felt being watched anymore but leaving the house itself wasn't enough.
No, from my general understand about ghosts is the fact that they are very connected to the place of their death or something significant to them during their life. Considering I haven't touched anything or done anything, I don't think said presence would have followed me since I didn't disturb anything, I haven't given reason to.
RareYellowWUUTBee the names have been changed to protect their identity. you can or if you can look it up on the Japanese website. There were pics of the old ritual site in the back of the house. Very dilapidated. A friend of mine shared the link with me long time ago. I've been trying to find it myself Unfortunately I can't read Japanese or translate it. I don't know how to do that on a website. My former friend traveled to Japan many times learned Japanese so that was my advantage to the Japanese website.
Unfortunately, this is what Tecmo has been trying to get people to believe, and most people who perpetuate it know better and are simply trolling. However, this story is, in fact, NOT true, or based on any known actual events. They took bits and pieces from different Japanese folklore, added it a bunch of common scary movie tropes, and some really nice original ones, and made a compelling story for a great game. But that is all. The things most grounded in reality, as far as story goes, are the ritualistic and occultic killings of children by wealthy land-owners in an attempt to gain power from demonic sources, but these sorts of stories exist all over the globe and are not isolated to Japan, or to simply just one urban legend. Stories like The Ring (JP: Ringu), and The Forest, Shutter, and others also use some of the same elements.

i've wanted one of my superhero's forms to be like an "embrace the darkness" kinna form... starts out like twitchy then literally rips himself in half down the middle(without none of the gore and blood) where a black fog burst out and only the one's he finds necessary to be enveloped in the fog as a small pocket dimension of nothing and there like barely heard laughter and cries of pain and agony, the only thing that is seen of him is a red grim pumpkin face just popping in and out of the fog like a wraith and as soon as the villain turns around the "fear" jumpscares them and they're stuck frightened in a fetal position in a cold sweat... imagine a guy like Joker stuck like that... I'd call this form "The Grim Embrace" powers like this plus causing scary moments like the things in this game and other scary games.. one hell of an "Embrace" i'd say
This game is soo hard! Since theres no combo system yet you kina have to take pictures of strong ghosts just to get damage into them. The Fatal Frame shot have a really small time frame. Great walkthrough though.
+Omaru1982 I used to think 3 was the hardest. But Once you get the fast paced combat down its pretty easy. Except when you play as Kai... He just sucks lol.
When I was a teen, my dad lived in an old house. It had creaky wooden stairs to the basement, sort of like those in Himuro Mansion. My stepsister told me the house was haunted. It was the perfect place to play this game. Once, I left the game on pause for a while and went upstairs. Imagine my shock when, as I descended those creaky stairs, I could see the game's screensaver - red handprints covering the screen of that old CRT TV. Still one of my all-time favourites.
I remember being freaked out by this game as a kid but when I got older, I played the hell of this game and beat all the difficulties (had the xbox version that had 3 difficulties). Great memories.
"I wonder if his [professor] group is still here?" goes into a place with no light. no sound. at night. because at night is the best time to go to an unfamiliar place.
Where is this remake. Scary ass game. Just beautiful. P.s. I’m at the 6minute mark and the game got me on two jump scares. Holy shit I’m just watching not playing and it good.
I still remember when my boyfriend and his friends were playing this and he went to look out one of the windows and panned to the left than the right and back to the left only to find one of those fucking asshole ghosts staring right back at him! 😳 Mind you we were all high as a kite but still scared the shit outta us lol.
This had to of been one of the scariest games I've ever played. Especially at night, the atmosphere in this game is creepy! Even though I beat the game, I would still play it again.
I agree and that's why I don't dare to play it again anymore, I only go for the notes and stuff to investigate sometimes, but i wouldn't dare to play it again
I like how the demon masked dude with the katana is supposed to be menacing and a force of nature, but then comes out a non intimidating voice and instead a puny voice with an equally limp evil laugh. I get voice acting wasn't too good but really? Couldn't do a voice changer even, make it a bit deeper or something?
Shows how little some dubbers care about their work. Also the "demon masked dude" is the Himuro Family Master, or the patriarch, who I can confidently state was already a scumbag (the Mask of Reflection he wore changed into a demon mask) but the Malice possessed him and drove him into killing everyone, then eventually himself out of massive guilt.
I actually caved in recently. Decided I really wanted to re-play some of my favorites back in college. Fatal Frame and Shadow Hearts 2 were like the two most memorable games for me. I'm buying both of them and got them in the mail right now and really can't wait to re-play them hopefully this weekend.
the way i would have just given up if i were in fatal frame, like wdym my only defense against those things is a camera. tf you mean only thing that's between me and being god's next visitor is a camera, not even bather in god's spit i would have gone there w nothing but a camera and my flesh😭
I’ve never played these but they look cool. It would be cool to see this given the same treatment as RE2 with a modern update that stays faithful at the same time.

This is pretty creepy, but cool. My sister (Jillian) and I love paranormal stuff! We watched "Most Haunted" and "Ghost Adventures", those were awesome. 😄
I just finished this one... I love it. It has a lot of charm to it. I didn't think it was as scary as people say tho. Sure, there were some jumpscares, but nothing that caused me to stay up all night or prevent me from playing alone. I'm starting the second game, which seems to be the game people praise a lot more. I hope the second game can top the first game.

I have to say the fatal frame series is the most underrated horror game of all time
I remember being freaked out by this game as a kid but when I got older, I played the hell of this game and beat all the difficulties (had the xbox version that had 3 difficulties). Great memories.
Fatal Frame. One of the best series I’ve had the pleasure of watching, and barely playing (I’m a scaredy-cat)
Watching in July 2019 & loving it! I love that there's no commentary 💜 you're awesome

"I wonder if his [professor] group is still here?"
goes into a place with no light. no sound. at night. because at night is the best time to go to an unfamiliar place.
That is pretty stupid when you say it out loud.
Such an underrated series. Best sound/atmosphere ever. Truly chilling. Awesome.
If I had my lvl 100 Gengar with me these ghosts would not stand a chance.
Good luck identifying them without the Sylph Scope.
I'll use Lvl100 Giratina coz I'm a coward 😂
You're still in trouble cuz they'd probably just ignore your gengar and go straight after you 😂
Arthur Brito SKSKSK sksks lmaooo
Use Alakazam
Where is this remake. Scary ass game. Just beautiful.
P.s. I’m at the 6minute mark and the game got me on two jump scares. Holy shit I’m just watching not playing and it good.
That first ghost
If any game needs a remake, it's this one
The perfect channel to watch with no commentary at night and light off
they dont make games like this anymore
and thats sad
Truly.
This game used to scare me so much. It’s wild watching this playthrough 10+ years later
One the most scariest games ever.Still my skin is up with the atmosphere
I still remember when my boyfriend and his friends were playing this and he went to look out one of the windows and panned to the left than the right and back to the left only to find one of those fucking asshole ghosts staring right back at him! 😳 Mind you we were all high as a kite but still scared the shit outta us lol.
Damn right!! That’s the best way to play! Me and my soon to be husband are hunting the games down to play stoned haha
Who fell asleep with this game paused, then woke up to all the bloody hand prints lol best ghost game
Thanks for the upload! I went for the marathon of this serie!
I didn't know about these games until I saw IDV is having a crossover with them so I searched it up and wow .... I love them already it's mystery
I had this for PS2 years ago. One of (if not *the*) scariest games I have ever played in my life.
I miss playing this game. Great memories, thanks for the upload.
I actually caved in recently. Decided I really wanted to re-play some of my favorites back in college. Fatal Frame and Shadow Hearts 2 were like the two most memorable games for me. I'm buying both of them and got them in the mail right now and really can't wait to re-play them hopefully this weekend.
ohh Miku..she will never get over Mafuyu's fate..
Who's here after hearing they're remaking .Maiden Of Blackwater ❤
the way i would have just given up if i were in fatal frame, like wdym my only defense against those things is a camera. tf you mean only thing that's between me and being god's next visitor is a camera, not even bather in god's spit i would have gone there w nothing but a camera and my flesh😭
I’ve never played these but they look cool. It would be cool to see this given the same treatment as RE2 with a modern update that stays faithful at the same time.
this excellent horror game brings back memories.i played it back in 2001.
the game had got some excellent cutsences. and it is still best today in 2018.
Incredible walkthrough. Just watching you play scared me so many times. That's how you know you have an amazing game.
Soundtrack is simple perfection.
Dude.. thanks for posting this. I'm still waiting on a annoucement by Nintendo to release this game, or a sequel, on the Switch :))
Might happen seeing that the girl from fatal frame is an assist trophy
(I barely found out about the series thanks to smash bros. It looks interesting)
@@user-vp1su4pb1g We also need a remaster of the first three for the PS4 and PS5.
Fatal Frame 1: Good(Tragedy in Fatal Frame 3)
Fatal Frame 2: Tragedy(Best)
Fatal Frame 3: Good
Fatal Frame 4 Good
Fatal Frame 5: Tragedy
back in the day when i was a kid playing this game and afraid of what so called ghost, believing that ghost will hurt me and now, as an adult, the ones who tricked me, cheated on me, and hurted me are all fucking human.
SHN i just want to let you know, your channel is my favourite because i love watching scary games because i don't play scary games because i don't have the courage, thanks for uploading every scary games, SHN
Thank you for this walkthrough and your time.
I remember this game. My sister played this once and everytime a ghost show up, the console would vibrate and she will get scared and hand the console to me. Haha.
This is pretty creepy, but cool. My sister (Jillian) and I love paranormal stuff! We watched "Most Haunted" and "Ghost Adventures", those were awesome. 😄
This is one of those games that has great story telling.
playing this on my ps2 right now i ve played all of them best series ever
You wouldn’t want to know HOW LOUD I SCREAMED when I played this
I just finished this one...
This is a classic! Thanks for playing.
Great memories playing with my younger brother during the good old days.
Man,It took me almost 11 hours to finish this and this guy did It in only 4. OMG!
I'm so glad I still have them. I just started replaying them on Twitch. 😁
Ok but who remembers tapping the run button and your character would shimmy their legs when they walked lolol
I love how unbothered she is the whole time
3:08:47/ 3:08:48
That Laugh from Himuro Family master is indeed Creepy😱😱😱😱
They need to make a virtual reality version of this game.
If only we had cameras like that
If I had one, I'd be like:" YOU BETTER BACK OFF GHOSTS, I'm a boy with a camera"
I also wish I could play this game I love it
You are amazing for playing and uploading this! I wish it was Jap dub, but even just being able to watch a full gameplay is so greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Loved this game, hope it gets a remake someday
the only thing scarier than the game is the awful voice dubbing
Even In my Kids Days I Always Play This Masterpiece This Is The True Definition Of Masterpiece U Didn't Do God Graphics But You Create Gold Game ❤ By the time Now This is My 3 times Playing This 😢😢😢😢 It's Sad Cuz Project Zero Didn't Create Another Which Is Sad To know That They Passed The part 3-5 Of This Series To Another Devs
When I played the trilogy I was like "oh my God, all these crazy religious people doing barbaric stuff, for religion... such primitive culture and beliefs..." until the endings when I realized everything was really necessary in order to maintain the world protected. Then I realized how terrifying the game really is, because this is the most terrifying feature of the game, knowing that all rituals were really necesary.

Best part ever
When my brother want to play my games before i let him play this. Guess what? He never bother me again. Hahahaha
My favorite horror game franchise, I played the first 3 games. I wish some day could play the others.
I remember when I first played this and was scared out of my mind. Didn't get very far.
i see lots of ppl talking about a remake.... if they ever do a remake of this game it better be like RE HD Remaster (2002), i dont want my #1 survival horror game turned into yet another generic over the shoulder cookie cutter cash grab, it would be so disrespectful to this absolute masterpiece...
I remember when i was A little, playing This Game must Have my friends surround me, Too Scared for playing Through alone, and i never Make it to This Far as you Played, Kinda Scary ,, it was Best Horror game ever in my Life...
They Should Make this Game In REAL MOVIE , who’s with Me ?
I'm on it. There is a Movie based on Fatal Frame called "Fatal Frame Gekijô-ban: Zero", is not like the game, but it is a nice Movie. Try watch it.
Shn+ will you please play the siren series?

Thanks for the guide. Now finally I beat it
There's actually a spot in the very beginning of the entrance that if you take a picture of the corner wall or something or somewhere around there you can capture a ghost infant
HD Remake Remastered for all 3 parts!
When I played this game both FF 1&2 all I can say is that their flashlights lasted longer than my relative’s marriage.
The sense of dread is so good in this game. Id love to see a remaster with updated controls.
