Just a call can't do anything. so, just going to a link also cannot do anything. it may at the maximum downlaod a piece of script. But one has to click the downloaded script to start running. Using only trusted apps from playstore is the best we can do, if pegasus is embedded into apps like youtube or fb or insta, then it is a problem but I dont think big tech firms would not want to do this.

Android is Linux based os and is Open source so every line of code is accessible I mean you can read it too if you want.

This government is screwing up with national security as well. My problem is not the use of the product itself but 1. getting caught. 2. Intent - targeting own countrymen with difference of opinion (well with BJP we can expect even lower standards) 3. My money used for politics of a party 4. Dependency on a foreign product for intelligence (hopefully that is not entirely true). 5. And ultimately if this is used for anything other than national security even if someone is caught red handed committing a crime but who will be the judge of that. We need a government/party who has some moral and eithic even in politics.

Before, scammers used to send links and if u click one by mistake, ur device can be hacked... But this Pegasus spyware is very advanced and even if u receive a missed call also ur phone can be hacked. But trust me when I say this, if it is "only in the hands of and used by governments" its not that harmful but, Imagine using a clone of this Spyware made by some devoloper with ill intentions... Or worse if upgraded it to next level it's going to be disastrous for people, especially rich people, celebrities etc. Even big companies will be collapsed over night...
@@M.VishnuVardhan98 I am also a developer actually and what you just said is not possible. hacking is not possible unless some piece of script or code is running on the mobile. Just a call can't do anything. so, just going to a link also cannot do anything. it may at the maximum downlaod a piece of script. But one has to click the downloaded script to start running. Using only trusted apps from playstore is the best we can do, if pegasus is embedded into apps like youtube or fb or insta, then it is a problem but I dont think big tech firms would not want to do this.
