I thought he was just naturally great on the mic. People have that gift of gab. It just shows how important hard work is & this places emphasis on the things we don’t see. Often we wonder how certain people got so ‘lucky’. More times than not they did the work were not aware of. Kudos to him. 👏🏼

Well, he didn't tell WWE about the whole scandal when he was supposed to. It wasn't like a last minute thing where he just found out, Enzo knew about it since the investigation started and never told the company so they didn't trust Enzo and cut him loose

@@commcrimson9999Piper had a similar book of ideas he used to carry around. When he filmed "They Live" his iconic line "I'm here to kick ass and chew bubblegum, and I'm all out of bubblegum" was taken from a notebook of wrestling promo ideas he'd brought to the set.
Oh God just shut the fuck up... If you actually think he's the best of the decade you obviously haven't been watching for longer than a year or two.
His best line out of that whole promo was "waht you wearing/ Is that schmedium?"
As he once put it "I got the gift of gab and the gift of jab." I've never seen anyone do a dis promo that entertaining in WWE since the segment he talks about here. Good stuff.
I actually have a new found respect for Enzo. A somewhat insightful shoot.
you have to hand it to him in his time in WWE the cruiser weights were on Raw in the main event when he was cruiser weight champion now they are not on Raw at all.
They are barely even noticed anymore. Enzo may have been an ass in some cases but he knew how to push the cruiserweight off the top. He help put them at the top multiple times even when he knew he was about to get his tail handed to him after the promo. He put them on the map. He in my honest opinion was the best talker in the ring since ric flair himself in the modern day wrestling and giving promos. He would have been even better now if he hadn't got that false charge slapped on him and wwe having to let him go. I could have easily saw him a us champ or ic champ after his run the 205 live. But things happened and well it didn't happened but oh well. But he was a beast at promos and getting heat from everyone.

@Oong The Last Airbender According to other WWE wrestlers at the time, I struggled with even fundamental wrestling nevermind advanced high-flying. He broke his leg because he botched a move, and he gave himself a concussion the same way. He was one of the best promos, especially considering his experience, but he was a tag team wrestler to hide his wrestling flaws

Nothing wrong with writing your own promo. You can write things from your perspective and makes it sound real and different from the other guys. It also gives you material to fall back on in case you need it later.

I was like a lot of people that hated on Enzo because of his wrestling thinking he didn't take things seriously but this definitely opened my eyes dide was dedicated to putting on a good show. Sucks his backstage outside antics is what caused his release. Hopefully he'll get his shit together and come back.

Enzo's mic/promo skills where top notch possible one if not the best at the time IMO. A lot of people bash Enzo and are intitled to there opinion . I personally was a fan of the character and give Enzo respect for speaking his mind weather right or wrong.

This reminds me of how KRS ONE used to say he kept his skills sharp by writing diss bars for the top ten rappers every year, just in case, he was ready. If you have roast lines prepared for your opponents, you can have some stuff to fall back on in promos.

@Asokah Anderson wrestling wise yes but when Enzo was champ the 205ers where main eventing raw on multiple occasions and where never the kick off show on PPVs. He had good heat. Im not an Enzo fan but numbers dont lie he was entertaining and the crowds wouldn't leave during 205 live .

Roddy piper wrote down all his promos. Piper had tons of material written down in notebooks and loose pieces of paper. Plenty of great promo guys had shit written down. Meanwhile you have Simon gotch/grim/who cares laughing and saying “you write down all your promos? You don’t do them on the fly?”.

I can’t believe I’m saying this.... but after watching all these clips from this shoot. Enzo has a much better understanding of the business than I ever gave him credit for. He totally coulda had a better run w/the cruiser weight title, and above all else he coulda been a monster heel manager he wouldn’t be able to manage just one person though as he would over shadow him, but if you gave him a stable of guys. He coulda had stable of different guys and gals like Heenan or Jimmy Hart.

Enzo was entertaining in some aspects, but the draw was heel Neville in my personal opinion.
@Anthony Cruz it is a fact that when Enzo was champion the cw division was not only ON raw but was main eventing Raw and to this day no one on the cw roster gets reactions like him.

Thats exactly what these guys shoukd be doing now days. Be able to go out there and cut on the fly. Everything so scripted none of them can this anynore. That was best part about the old guys. They can cut promos, call on the spot and adjust when things go wrong

Enzo as the Cruiserweight champion told you everything you need to know about the big leagues. I remember him roasting the other guys around the ring. It must've killed all those indy darlings who were so good in the ring and busted their asses to make it to the big leagues with absolutely no charisma being outshined by the guy who couldn't work but had all the charisma. This is wwE not wWe. To hell with your 450 splashes, can you talk or have any personality? People care to see Enzo over Cedric Alexander, that's just a fact. If all I cared about was in ring ability and no charisma or mic skills, I can go watch Ring of Honor.

Promo is all enzo had... promos and nothing else. Couldn't sell.... Couldn't bump... Couldn't work... anymore than 5 minutes in the ring and he was exposed. Being able to talk is good but in the end it's pro wrestling not pro promos
