I absolutely love your TH-cam thumbnails. I actually have been looking at your thumbnails and trying to re-design all of my 100 or so thumbnails on two channels (75% done!!). I especially love how you are able to center and spread your titles in your thumbnails so perfectly. I have been learning to fix all of mine which committed the two mistakes (too many words & too many elements...hey....a TH-cam newbie here lol). I also use Canva, which is soooo easy to use. Thanks for the Thumbsup resource mentioned. I will use it from now on.

Question, what are you using in your video to do the splitscreen with the gray background?
I played around with some settings in Screenflow - the software I use to record my screen. However, you could achieve something similar using a tool called Tella.
Thanks for the useful (and most importantly, EXECUTABLE) strategies to make a decent thumbnail. Especially the reminder to keep it simple. My thumbnails always looked a hot mess because I couldn't help but add in EVERY element available in Canva.

i do not wish to use canva or photoshop .is there some other open source alternative ?
I have a question...how do you change the thumbnail VIDEO. Not the still photo. The few second video that shows when you hover over the thumbnail. I sometimes don't want it to show certain content because viewers might not click to watch if they already saw in the thumbnail video, what I'm reviewing or unboxing. Know what I mean?
